Impact hard case cover kickstand

Hi
I found this great looking case for only $12- $15.99 with screen protector.
The case has a plastic snap on and a rubber seal something similar to an OtterBox.
I order way before the phone came out, hope you check it out before they prices goes up..
they have different color.

For other color do the search with out WHITE on from for more color.

Sorry bro didn't mean to offend you in any way. Was not insulting you or your taste. It was my personal opinion of the case. The back of the case looks very unpleasant and uncomfortable in pocket. I do really appreciate the fact you purchased a product, took pictures of it, and gave your opinion of it for the community. It really does help with accessories selction. I'm going to do the same when I buy a case for mine.

Whoa. That's a hard case to swallow. Although I do have a case on my GS2, I do so reluctantly. A big part of the purchase of any of my phones are the looks. This case looks a bit overbearing for my tastes although I'm sure gives great protection.

yeah.. Is a little big.. Im a CCTV Tech. always on the move, My nexus S 4G just crack with a more stylish case that this time i wanted a more protective option.
The point is that for the $12.00 I paid this copy or whatever brand this is is not a bad option.
Would love the flip stylish one. This is a beauty of phone but avoiding any falls is the least i would want to worry with this haha.

Looks pretty good actually. Bought one, and for $1.95 i'll probably by a few more. Ships from NJ, so I should get it soon. Will leave my initial impressions when it arrives.
They have them in different colors as well, just have to search around. I saw green, white, black, red, and blue so far.
Edit: price went up to $4.95

Wonder how good cases are plus comes with a screen protector anyways had some PayPal balance so ordered white, black, red, blue, green!

Doesn't look like a bad deal, but I have always wondered why people boast their phone is 0.1mm slimmer and then put a huge case like this on their phone
I personally prefer to take care when handling my phone and I've never even dropped one.

There are people who go/work at places where heavy protection is needed. For example, hiking. i usually use heavy duty cases when going to the gym

Just got the cases I ordered different colors the case feels good and all but Im having issues with the volume buttons the volume up is too tight and it pushes but it self!

Got two of the cases. Atthat price it was worth the gamble. It is a nice case for the price, but doesnt suit my needs. The back and corner protection is good, but the protection for the front is not enough for me. The rubber lip is not deep or sturdy enough form me. If dropped touch screen facing down, I dont think of will survive. But, if you dont have butter fingers or A rampaging 2 year old, i think this price is right!

Turn it inside out and carefully shave a little bit off with a razor blade.

Really not that impressed. I think I will probably go ahead and get that Seido case everyone is talking about.
But hey...for two bucks, nothing lost too badly

Custom paint on a GS2

well I came up with this after I had left overs from a car I painted last week, let me know what you guys think, also I was thinking that I can do phone paint jobs if some of you guys like them, this is automotive pain, not cheap walmart/home depot paint.
I use:
Bulldog adhesion promoter.
PPG Omni paint.
ALSA corp paint (you guys can check out their website they have amazing stuff)
Transtar Clearcoat (Glamour series)
I did not open the phone, it was taped and dry sanded so no water was used and is dust free, buttons feels free not stuck, no over spray in there.
Im uploading a video to youtube as soon is ready Ill post the link.
(if I have bad grammar please do not start throwing rocks I'm learning English, is way better if someone tells me how to spell or write good than laugh about it, thank you!):laugh:

Man that looks slick. Love the swirl look on the back. I would love to have my phone done like that in royal blue but I have the textured battery cover.
By the way, your english is very good. I would have no idea you were still learning the language if you didn't mention it in the original post.

my phone has the same texture but if you leave it you can see it through the paint, and it make it looks kinda cool because the clear coat is all smooth, I can paint just the back cover if you want or the bezel too, about the color you can show me a picture of it or if its a car color you can look for the paint code searching in google so I can match it by computer I have the PPG toners here

Yeah that things badass good job man if love to do mine too but my bezel is all beat up I have the white one and sanded down the bezel and put a black backing on it so it doesn't look as bad haha

You made me jealous so I painted mine didn't do it to match anything really but green is my favor color and added the splash of black to match my bezzel

thank you so much for the props, I really appreciate, mine was all beat up too, but I sanded down all the chips and cracks on the bezel and now it looks great, I'm going to paint like two more this week I'll show you the pictures as soon as I can. :laugh:

Yours def looks way better than mine that's for sure but I just used spray paint that had a protective enamel coating in it so hopefully it will last till I at least can buy some good paint :cheers:

That's really nice man I have the white gs2 so if I were too paint my phone I would have to paint the front some his too and my phone is in need of some help its all nicked and scratched up but I was just thinking if painting it flat black or something

[Q] Is It Plausible To "Sand" The Body Of The S3?

Long story short, I've got some minor damage to my S3 in which the paint has scrapped off. I see underneath it has a pretty sleek looking black body. I was thinking of getting some high grain sandpaper and just sanding the entire body down to the black. Possibly even getting a clear finish plastic paint and painting so it's smooth.
Do you guys think it's plausable? Anyone done this successfully?
Been thinking about doing it for a few weeks. Finally getting around to asking on here. Maybe I'll make it a weekend project..

I don't see why you couldn't as long as you didn't go crazy sanding it. I'd try on the battery cover first cause if it looks bad battery covers are only a few bucks on amazon.

I think op is talking about the bezel.
I personally wouldn't do it since the phone is basically plastic and glass. But hey, its your phone, do whatever you want to it.

Why bother with all that?
Just buy a glossy black TPU cover for it. Pick one that's glossy black
The case will hide the damage perfectly and protect the phone from further bezel damage.
I like TPU over silicone because of its high gloss, low bulk and I can remove it easily from my pockets.

I was thinking this as well. I don't think it would take much to sand off the paint coat.

Yes, I'm talking about the entire phone (body and cover). It's not a lot of surface area to cover. I'm not talking about removing the glass and sanding down the front face.

I don't care about the damage, honestly, its' not bad. It's more for the look. As for TPU case....I HATE cases. I think they look ugly, regardless of how sleek they are. I like my phone to look the way it was designed.

So I was thinking about using 220-240 for initial sanding and then like 600 for smoothing.
My only concern is trying to find an effective way to cover the tiny space between the screen and the bezel. I don't want it to fill up with particles.

I didn't say you were going to remove the front glass. I said the phone is mainly made up of plastic and glass.

I'm not sure if I'm joking but worst case if you screwed up the bezels grayish tint and it fails miserably, I'd probably use nail polish.

just got bored surfing the web and thought i would see if speck made nexus 5 cases yet. and i guess i lucked out !!!!

they look nice, but those colors are horrendous, except for the blue and white one. would love to know why they are priced that way when it seems they are made out of the same material as any other dual layered case.

Speck always over charges for their cases. They cater to the rich stupid iPhone people. And I agree the case colors they choose suck. I wanted a plain black one.

I do like the white and blue one but not for 35 bucks

Those color options are terrible.

Yea thats what i was thinkin. Got the blue and white cause thats the best looking one

This case is great for side and corner impacts, but the small lip hinders its face flat resistance.
My friend has this case on his sgs3, and I saw his phone drop onto our tile office floor and crack the screen, while in the case!
The floor did have a slightly raised edge, due to it being tile, but nothing a good case shouldn't have protected against.

I ordered this case and it should be here tomorrow. Sounds like it may continue using my Ballistic Aspira case if this one doesn't offer much protection.

^ sorry if my post seemed discouraging. I can only speak for the experiences I've seen with this case in an s3, which is 2 years old.
If the lip is a decent height, things should be fine if it falls facewards. Back and sides should be fine because of the thick plastic/rubber the case is made from. Let us k know how it fists!
