Voice commands not understanding context - Windows Phone 7 General

I was driving home from work yesterday. I happened to pick up my phone and see that my wife called. So I hold the Windows key and say "Call home".
.
.
.
.
It pauses and then says "searching for 'call home'".
It can't be serious. How does it not know that I was saying "call home" not "FIND call home".
It clearly heard me say "call home", yet for some reason pulled up Bing and searched for the phrase "call home".
Happen for anyone else? How the hell do I change that? Because I've definitely said "call home" in the past and it worked.

Mine doesn't even recognise what I say :l
I eventually start screaming at my phone :'(

Is Home actually your contact's name?

Err, some of my suggestion after few attemps now works more better.
I usually use voice command to do simple texting and call my girlfriend.
I press windows key, wait for the prompt, then say call / text (pause for awhile) Cha Lee (pause for awhile) mobile, which will let me to call /text her mobile number.
Just keep in mind that the name you speak after the call / text command must be the same in the contact.

I'm having problems with voice commands too.
Mango seems to have screwed it up. It worked much better on NoDo.
On NoDo, whenever I say Start "App name", it recognizes it on the first go and starts it.
On Mango, when I try to do the same thing(same accent and everything), it either 1. Searches Bing 2. Call one of my contacts 3. Application could not be found.
I think it's an OS issue.
Another example: Wanted to test Voice-To-Text, so I said "I just updated my phone to Mango". It came out "I just updated my phone to angel".
How does angel rhyme with mango? This was done in a quiet environment.
Perhaps it's an issue caused by forcing Mango?
I forced mine. Anyone with un-forced Mango having similar issues?

The pronunciation of angel and mango is pretty similar...
I don't know, it's worked pretty well for me for the most part, but voice recognition still has a long way to go.

Good replies here.
Yeah the contact is just the one word "Home" and our home line. And it worked just fine before.
I think acefiredx may be on to something. Maybe a bug in Mango. And yes I forced mine, although it wouldn't make any sense for that to be the issue. I could be wrong though, my 'coding' days were with QBasic.

It may be because the way you talk. The same way accents and things like that can fool the human ear, it can definitely fool a phone.
I don't talk slow, but I can say "Call <x> mobile" all day long and the phone does fine.
That being said, I've not big on voice command and barely use it, anyways - like 90% of the world.

To be honest, unless you're getting to Moon-like interaction, then yeah, voice commands aren't that useful.
When would you use them? If you're with or around even one person, you're not or you'll feel like a douche. And if you're alone it's weird to talk outloud to a computer, it also doesn't inconvenience you to navigate with your fingers.
Driving is the only thing. But like I said, only if it's sci-fi grade. Is Siri? I'm sure it has some neat tricks to understand humans, but no, it can't be. If it were, then Apple just discovered real AI.
-edit-
Although I just sent a text without pushing a button. Ok that was pretty cool.
AND I tried the "call.. home". And that worked. So maybe I was talking too fast who knows.

Same problem here, but it`s funny... one time i said "find little dog" and the phone searched for "legal drug" wtf
I have a question DO I NEED INTERNET FOR VOICE SMS? because when i connect it to PC and try to send a voice sms it works. but when i disconnect it doesn't recognise nothing and keep 'thinking'.

Yes you need internet.. it send your voice to your carrier i think and than it comes back with the words.. its I think for regionalization.. to identify your accent and not just uniform american accent accross all phones.. also it would take a lot of memory to save all those voice commands on phone.

This is exactly what I means, give a small pause after each voice command.
Glad that works for you. I always used that to call and text when I'm driving.
(Of coz with a headset on)

Yes, the following command has worked in the past. Seems that my arrive is just getting problematic. I can't use the flashlight anymore as the touch bottons on the front are too sensitive. I even have issues turning the phone off. I have to hold it on the top part of the size. Back on topic.
Call, louie's burger
Searching for Call Louie's Burger
Call, louie's burger
Searching for Hola Leesburg
Call, louie's burger
Searching for Carl Beber
I think I am getting trolled.

The only thing I use it for is to have SMS conversations while I'm walking down the street. Because when it's 25 degrees outside you don't want to take your glove off just to respond. However, I've been noticing it missing texts. I feel the Vibrate and hear the Notification tone, but it doesn't give me to option to have it read or reply to it.
But it's the only phone I have that allows me to do that, so I deal with it. The accuracy when dictating texts is much better than Google. ALMOST on par with Vlingo. The server round trips are very long, though...

^ Might want to check that in the settings...
However. I find that the voice input is not good at all, even worse with Mango. If you actually use "WhatIs" App, it is defintely way better in actually saying what it is.

Today on wp7 " call home " and it binged "taliban"...three attemtps failed.
Today on siri ... doesn't matter... it works every single time.. for everything.
Today, on android through my jacket (phone in pocket) with a dirt bike running "navigate to trailhead purdy" and it started navigation to the exact location I asked. Open dualsportmaps worked, starting plotting a gps (gpx) track immediately. "Text wife mobile im lost but ok, be home late".... all through my jacket.. wow

It's checked, that's why I said it misses them. It gets one and then fails to trigger on the next one.
I find the Speech Recognition for texting rather decent. I think the server round trips are excessive, though. I boxed up my Vibrant to use the HD7 as a daily driver and the biggest issue I'm having with the "transition" is the lack of Vlingo's voice service on WP7. On Android you can use their app and you can also set Vlingo as the default speech service for the phone to use in the settings. It's much more accurate and round trips a lot faster than TellMe.
Also, there are too few places where you can dictate text into input boxes (no Mic on the keyboard).
I think that will hurt them in the long run, though, since they won't be collecting as much speech data as Google/Apple does on their devices.

Great point
I wanted to bring this up after playing with my Focus S for a while I notice that my original Focus understands alot more items. I find it harder now to call people using voice dial on the Focus S as it was very easy on the predecessor.

Voice Reminder program, anyone?

Does anyone know of a WinMob app that will allow a user to record a voice note and then have it set off a reminder in X number of minutes/hours? I'm just looking for something that can take a quick voice note and then sound that reminder at a given time. Kind of like a voice-based version of the old BugMe application.
I did various google searches this morning and came up empty. Lots of alarm programs and voice recording apps, but none that blended the two together as I described.
Anyone see/use/created anything like this?
C.
Anyone?
Anyone willing to take this on as a project?
record the message and use it as the alarm alert tone.
i know this is not exactly what you're looking for but you can use MS VOice command for this. Im not sure if the embedded VC works as there's no config option in the start menu, but with the 1.6 version you can have is verbally announce tasks or appointments when the time and date arrive. Of course you have to deal with the generic voice and not your own, but it's the best i could come up with on my own. Sorry if this is not a viable option
Thanks, but not addressing the problem
Thanks for the suggestions, but the problem with those approaches is that it doesn't save any time when it comes to input. It's just a matter of convenience and useability. it'd be great to say a few words of reminder (i.e. call whomever back or pick this up or whatever) and in a couple of button presses have it go off in 45 minutes or some other time value. nothing particularly fancy.
Ah well, here's to hoping that someone picks up on this idea and realizes how popular such an app would be.
C.
Anyone else seen an app like this?
Just holding out hope . . .

Has anybody actually got this working exactly as it should?
I am not getting any speech regarding calls from known people already in Contacts.....etc.
Any suggestions?

OK.....what should MSVC Notification Options be set to?
Cheers
i think the software u hav isnt complete because when u install it correctly and reboot when receiving a call or text it should say who is textin or callin u, but msvc works without any problems, if u hav the full verison goto start-settings-voice command-contacts and then hit options button to see if active
More importantly, can we change the voice to something more human?
I think this is a cracking piece of software, although it would be nice if it could also read out your RSS feeds (when asked to do so) and it would be amazing if you could dictate txt messages.
The only down side to using it with the Touch HD is that you have to map the call button to long press, to make it listen. Not the end of the world, but not as good as just being able to click once. For some reason it wont let me map the "back" button, which would be better, since I never use it.
Also while you are able to start applications via voice command ("start camera" being one of the most useful). There doesnt seem to be a way to close the apps in the same way.

I agree that it is a cracking piece of software.
Maybe with AEButton you can map the back button to the 'voicecmd.exe'
I tried the trial from two different sites and whenever i install it on the HD i got a "unrecoverable error" when installation finishes.
First time i was unable to even access settings to remove it so i had to resort to ActiveSync to get rid of it.
Another try from a different source gave me the same error but this time round i was able to access settings to remove it.
I'm afraid of even trying anymore.

Ummm - I do have the complete MS Voice Command and based on another post now realise that each sub-function in the menu has its own options.
I had assumed the Option button was just a general overall one. The "User Guide" is a tad basic really....
So all sorted now and thanks to all with advice....much appreciated.
Now then....how can we change this to either a smooth female voice or Basil Fawlty....???

not tried that yet, but i'll give it a go.
Using the xperia panels I have been able to map a software button, but obviously the current panels port, isnt 100% as you frequently need to exit in order to do certain things.
OK....I have just realised that although the voice actually works....the phone vibrates but doesn't use the set 'incoming call ring tone'....I would have expected "Ringtone and Vibration" (as it is set) and then voice breaks in with callers name, etc.
What am I missing?
Can someone either attach screenshots of Options and Notification settings or list their Options settings for Contacts and Phone please?
Much appreciated.....
Anyone experience random crashing of their HD? Mine start doing it after I installed this app, this morning my HD did not woke me up so I checked my phone and it was completely dead, power button won't work so I had to resort to the softreset button. This has happened again twice today and I just don't understand where its coming from, as the phone wasn't doing anything in particular at the time(obviously as I was sleeping when it first happened). Only thing I can think of is that its conflicting with AEButton plus, which I used to map the VC to the volume button.
What is the different between this and Cyberon Voice Commander which comes bundled with my THD?
Hi,
I am using Dutty Extreme 2.1, everything seems to work apart from it not reading my e-mails or SMS messages out??
Is it suppose to do this and how can I get it working?
Thanks

[Q] Can't answer calls sometimes! Really annoying!

Hello everybody,
Everything is fine with my Arc, except for the huge problem that sometimes I simply can't answer an incoming call! It happens like this: When a call is incoming, the phone starts ringing and vibrating as it usually does. However, the screen that is supposed to come up which shows you who is calling and where you can select to accept or reject the call is simply not showing up.
Has anybody experienced this before?
All I can do is slide to unlock the screen and then I'm looking at my home screen with the phone still ringing but no chance to get the call. There is nothing in the notification area or anywhere else where I could answer the call. All I can do is to wait until the ringing stops!! Really really bad behavior.
Furthermore, once the ringing has stopped, there is no information about the missed call in the call log. So I can't even call back the person who called me!
First time this happened I had "Plants vs Zombies" running so I figured the phone wasn't fast enough to switch to the incoming call. But it also happens when the phone is idling.
There seems to be no scheme behind all of this. Sometimes it happens twice in a row, sometimes only once a week.
I got my unbranded simlock free Arc in mid April with 2.3.2 and .181 firmware and applied Gingerbreak for root access. Later I upgraded via PC Companion to 2.3.3. and .145 firmware. But I lost root which I didn't like. So I downloaded the Generic World Firmware .181 and flashed it on the phone. Then used Gingerbreak again and made an OTA update to 2.3.3. and .145 firmware. Now I have root and the latest firmware.
All the while I used Titanium Backup to restore all my data, settings and apps as I don't want to reinstall all from scratch because it would take forever.
With this latest firmware, everything is fine, except for the call problem!
Please help me, what can I do?? I don't want to reflash and upgrade or whatever or lose all my data. I just want my phone to be able to handle calls as it should be!!
P.S.: I used Antek App Manager and frooze (not deleted!) some apps which where uncessesary and running in the background or at startup which speed up my startup time and free ram quite a bit. But I didn't frooze any crucial apps, at least I hope. Only stuff like Chinese keyboard and Let's Golf etc.
Also, if I would have frozen the call handling app or something, I wouldn't be able to accept calls in most cases, wouldn't I?

Think you may have answered your own question here...
could be, but on the other hand I only frooze really stupid apps which should not affect any important functions of the phone. Also, if I frooze something important related to calls, why is it working most of the time? This is what I don't get.
Here is what I frooze (most of them just took up space in the app drawer and I don't use them), maybe it helps:
- stock browser (I use Opera)
- chinese keyboard (I'm german and don't need it)
- "Downloads"
- retaildemo
- live ware manager
- fb mediadiscovery
- dlna server
- news and weather
- postcard
- SE setup wizard
- sim toolkit
- sony ericsson sync service
- playnow
- sony ericsson support
- track id
- twitter
- let's golf
- google talk
- sony ericsson sync client wizard
so is your problem solved?
Anything related to google should be left alone news and weather should be fine to freeze or delete but would leave Talk alone, and depending what data from which FW was backed up, might also be an issue.
so I defrosted Google Talk. Anything else I should defrost?
Under "Settings" and then "Running services" I sometimes stop "Timescape Legacy Plugin" or whatever it's called because it takes up RAM. Could this also be a cause but I believe it's only for the Timescape app which I seldom use.

I have the exact same problem.
It doesn't happen often but it's really annoying either way.
I barely installed anything off the market and I don't use any sort of app killers/managers.
that's strange because I thought it could be my own fault because I played around and frooze same apps. But it's "good" to know that I'm not the only one.
Do you have any hints about when it happens or when not? Can you exclude anything?
Today, I re-enabled all the froozen apps and then frooze some of them again, according to the thread here on xda. But only apps about which I was really sure.
Don't know how I could test if the error is gone. I mean, have people calling me 100 times and hope it occurs or not doesn't really sound great.
may be there is some problem in your firmware, try some other firmware of other region.................

That's the weirdest part, the only thing I used that day was Whatsapp.
The incident happened about 5 hours later, I was in a car when my phone started ringing.
I tried picking it up but.. I guess you know the rest..
I was about to buy this phone but now I'm having second thoughts.
@flamez
yesterday it happened to me again. The weird thing is, that my girlfriend said she called me three times but I heard it ringing four times! She claims she didn't call me between her second and her third call! But it definetly rang but I couldn't answer it. Also my other friends say that they didn't call me at this time. Could be someone calling who I don't know at the exact time but the chance is slim I guess.
Also whenever there is such a phantom call, there's not even a hint of it inside the missing calls log. And when this happens, nobody ever leaves a message on my mailbox. Is this the same for you? Could be the person is just lazy but I don't know.
Furthermore, it happened several times to me already and never once a person asked me later why I didn't get their call. Strange, isn't it. It almost seems like that there was no one calling at all!
Now, could it be for some unknown reason that our phones just start ringing as if there is a call but in fact there isn't one at all?! You know, the phone just running crazy and triggering the ringtone? That could be the reason why the "accept call screen" doesn't show up and there's no call log because there is now call!
I know, sounds very weird. But think about it. They could be really "ghost calls".

No, I don't think that's it..
It's happened only twice to me over a 2-3 month period and my friends have always called me back asking why I never pick up the phone.
It really just happens about once a month to me, and I can answer the second time they call me right away without any problem.
Are you guys running task killers?
{EDIT - I remember OP saying that he'd frozen a load of stuff.. Suggest that if you're getting this a lot that you un freeze all of it and see how it goes, maybe just freeze the end user apps - like Lets Golf HD at first then build up the frozen apps slowly until you get the problem..}

No, as I said before, I'm not using any sort of task killers/app managers.
Today first time i encountered same problem. I have WhatsApp running in background. No task killer, nothing else.
Though i donno how to solve this problem. But i can surely tell how to pick up call in this case.
Just press the power key, this will take phone in locked state, but the call wont be rejected.
now click the home key and you will see the answer key, now slide it, it will slide without problem
it's good news that you found a workaround! I'll try to remember it the next time it happens.
Today, I had the problem again but this time it was different. The slider or the contact picture of the person calling didn't appear, but I could see the number of the person who is calling in the notification bar (not the name, just the number although this number and contact is stored in my contacts).
This happened the first time, all the other times the phone just rang without any hint of who is calling.
It would be nice if we were able to pinpoint a certain event which causes this odd behavior but so far I had no luck. What I'm doing differently since the last time it happened is, that I don't use task killers anymore. But still, it happened again today.
It's difficult to find out what it is when you don't know what causes it and when it will happen. For example, it happened to me today once for the first time in about a week.
in recent days, "it" happened very often to me!
Sometimes, the phone manages to at least show the number of the person calling so that I can call back. But usually it doesn't! The call just disappears into nirvana.
Do you guys remember if the error is associated with a certain amount of RAM left available? In other words, if the available RAM at the time of the incoming call is below a certain limit (which I don't know) the phone can't display the call. When it happened to me today, I had only 90MB RAM left. Maybe the phone can't free up enough RAM fast enough?!
Also the trick, which somebody mentioned a few posts above me, that when it happens you press the power button and then home and then you can slide and accept the call very rarely works!
I'm desperate and don't know what to do about it. I have just finished adjusting my phone to my needs. I linked apps with Link2SD and now have over 100 apps installed and still 215MB left on the internal memory, I have root and the .145 firmware. Everything is fine, except for this error!! It would take ages to restore it to the point where it is now, if it is complety possible at all.
I mean, if a phone can't handle calls, what good is it for?
I had a NEC e616 years ago which frooze while sending SMS or crashed after connecting a call or during a call and other "funny" things, but this was well known for this model.
But we don't have 2004 anymore and I except the Arc to work.
I could send it in on warranty, possibly. But then everything would be erased and it would take forever to get it repaired.
And I'm afraid they are going to tell me that they couldn't reproduce the error (because it happens so randomly)!
Such a nice and beautiful phone if not for this stupid error!
I'm already tempted to get rid of the phone and look for something else. But who's going to buy a phone with a bug which can't display phone calls?!!
I mean, I could reset it and flash the fimware and stuff and then hope. Maybe the error is gone. Maybe it persists and then all my data is gone and I have to start from scratch.
Or it is gone and then I have to start from scratch also!
If I should be forced to do it all over again and have all the work, then I could do it on another phone as well.
The Samsung Galaxy SII is quite ugly, to wide and big but I hope it can at least handle a call?!
Thank you for any help!!
Hmm..
If it happens rarely.. Why don't you sell it off on ebay
If asked about other mobile. I prefer sensation to sgs2. Much better phone function. In fact IMO htc is better than all other androids when it comes to phone functions.

2 mango niggles - Otherwise perfect

Other than these 2 niggles, I gotta say my HD7 with Mango is near perfect...
As I said, niggles... Not complaints or faults...
1. To fully exit an app you hit the back button. To keep it live and available to be jumped back into you hit the home key... Only issue? If you want to fully exit an app, but the back key in the app has another fuction like web browsing, you sometimes have to hit the back key 10+ times to fully exit...
2. When the home screen is fully scrolled to the bottom, the people live tiles pictures resets blank...
Oh, wow, because you sure have to freaking close the apps all the time. Or people will see your midgets porn?
I have several flaws to blame. But making a topic cursing the OS because you need to close the apps and its dificult to press the back button, and worse, the "People live tile resets blank". Seriously?! Does that bother you so bad?
The guy is entitled to post his opinions
There's really no need to exit a program fully unless it's actually a program that runs in the background (which will use your battery correct?). Else, just leave the browser.
If you're really going to be anal about exiting the browser, just go the browser tabs and hit the X. Now if you hit back it'll exit...

Having to press back to close apps does annoy me a bit. I know i technically don't need to but personally I just like having a clean multi task menu.
OCD ? maybe... just personal preference and the guy and myself are entitled to opinions. No need to get so angry about it.
So far...I've yet to even bother closing the application.
I just keep pressing the HOME key and I rarely get any problems.
By the way, how do you get rid of the Music Menu once you've started it? For example, when I press the volume up, I see the music track there with pause, play, etc. I don't see the music app running in the multi-task menu.
Anyway to exit out of that?

I find topics like this helpful for me making a decision of when is the right time to return to WP7. It may not be a bug (the back button) but it's good for me to know what to expect shoudl I return.
I wouldn't have thought having the browser left open would be an issue but thanks for highlighting the porn, that might cause an issue.
Things that really niggle with mango.
1. Pressing the unlock button and there being a delayed animation for alerts and the date to come up, this was not present in nodo and really annoys me.
2. The jump tiles for apps. I think it looks really ugly, maybe if they were filled in tiles rather then the outlines it my be more aesthetically. Personaly i liked the serach system in symbian s60 5th where it was a jump to but the jump to would dynamicly change as you spelt a name out.
I have a few annoyances.
1.) Can't navigate to previously opened pages after closing IE. The back button turns into closing the app instead of previous page.
2.) Now this one is HUGE for me. All number fields should show up in the predictive text or be flagged as textable. I have multiple contacts who have work cell phone's as well and multiple businesses where the number is a cellphone. It's extremely annoying when I start to type the name and i get no results.
Another example is with voice commands "Text Frank Smith" i get no option to text the Work cell phone even though our entire conversation thread is from his work number and there has never been a text sent or received from his Mobile number.
Other business contact with the Work number only have no option to text the contact. I either have to hit the plus sign and scroll down or go to the contact and scroll left to history and click one of the previous text's.

Um. You know... there is this thing called Prozac. It worked wonders for me!
If you look at the topic: 2 mango niggles - Otherwise perfect. That hardly sound like a scathing criticism. Maybe you are being a little defensive?
Mango does have issues, but remember people use phones differently and never come across certain useability issues.
Yeah, it can bother, but would you create a topic to speak how bad is Mango because it resets the People Tile? I noticed it too, but it make your experience worse?
Apps in background DO NOT consume your battery. It's not in background in first place. It is "frozen" in memory. So there is no need to close (using the back button) the apps. Unless you really want to close for whatever reason.
Something that really bothers: not resuming app when opening toast notification. You just cant chat with someone else if not by MSN or Facebook, because it turns to be frustrating.

To MS, it's non sense to people have two cell phones. This is really annoying, but of course it's not worse than the cursed people live tile.

Sorry if it looks like I'm cursing the OS, but I'm not... I love it and have been a 'died in the wool' windows mobile man since day one... But I'm a virgo and if I painted a house to perfection, but missed one square inch, I would be able to not focus on that one tiny bit... It's just me...

That's me for sure... I only leave something available to jump back to if I know I'm going to be needing it in that same day, else, I fully exit...
Perhaps I should experiment one day and not close a thing and just try and get comfortable with it...

There is a very valid reason to want to close apps using the back button. If you don't close them that way, they consume one of the (arbitrarily limited) 5 cards in the app switcher. If an app is one that you know you won't need to go back to any time soon, it makes no sense to waste a card on it, especially since Microsoft decided that we didn't need the ability to remove cards from the switcher.

When I updated to Mango, I had this problem. For another reason I hard-reset my phone and this bug has disappeared now for me.

Exactly that. If there are 2 or 3 apps i'm using at once i like to have a clean multi-task card to switch between. Once i'm done i close them all.

Play a video, and back-out of the player. Then the player controls are gone from the screen when you press volume keys.

Do you all use "Ok Google" a lot ?

Just curious if any of you use "Ok Google" on the new 10 ?
I know it's been around for a long time, but I was always scared of the battery drain it would cause, so I never used it. But now I want to use my phone as a smartphone, I'd like to use it more hands free, just say Google, " call Mom ", or Google " text Tom; blah, blah, blah ", or Google "turn on WiFi"
Does it work as well as advertised ? Does using your phone like this, make it better, and easier not having to hold it and type something, or press through the menu to make a phone call ?
Is it a major battery drain on this phone ?
I use all the time. Yes probably battery drain but I don't care as it helps me. Instead of just asking, try it.

This phone does not have Google now during screen off, so that pretty much saves it from battery drain but makes it less convenient. Works great for navigation reminders and questions and app actions. Way better then Siri at the moment.

Ok, tried it out, and not totally impressed, it's not as seemless and smooth and easy as I would've liked. I want a Star Trek Next Gen type thing, where you speak openly in the air to Computer and it does whatever you need. We're not quite there yet.
I wanted to use it totally hands free, not even touch the phone, and not sure how to set it up that way ? Right now, you actually have to unlock the phone and go to the home screen and then say "Ok Google" So I did, and I said "Call Arlene" ( Wife's name ) it then asked :Call Arlene, or call Arlene Office, I said Call Arlene, it asked call Ilene ? I said Call Arlene, it said Call Arlene Office, I said again CALL ARLENE, and again it says please say the name you want to call. Ugh...
I tired another "Ok Google" "Call Mom" dials my mom's number, but then I wanted speaker phone on, to do this hands free while I worked at my desk, no option to tell it to turn on the speaker phone, i had to actually press the speaker button in the Dial app.
It seems to ask too many questions and not totally understand me 100%, I just want it too work smoothly and understand what I want immediately without pausing or anything, just do it like I would be talking to a real life human butler. I shouldn't have to repeat my request at all, I should say it once and then I want the phone to do it light speed fast.
I want the phone laying on the table next to my keyboard, and not touch the phone once, and just say "Google" Text Tom "Hey, we going to the Lombard Ale Fest on Saturday" an the phone should do it, no questions to me, just F'ing do it. No "Do you really want to send this message, ok say Send it. **** you, yeah I want you to send it, or I wouldn't have asked in the first place, **** off Google, don't talk back to me.

It really doesn't use that much power, the sd820 is equipped with the hexagon DSP and that should take care of it in a really efficient way. Remember that the HTC is always reading it's sensors for the motion launch gestures to work.
