[Q] [REQ] Theme Port - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Is there any way someone can port this theme )http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884888) for Newt's Din2HD if it won't already work? This is probably the cleanest looking sense theme/skin I've ever seen. Any help would be AMAZING! lol

Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A

make a backup and try it. I know it works on newts bliss rom

Which one do I flash? Cuz it has two different .zips to flash. I'll try flashing both Haha and see which ones work better.

Themes for Cyanogen Tests on a 1.2?

So whats up with themes?
Can I just browse through the themes section in G1 and apply any of those that are good for cyanogen? Wanted to mess iwth some diff themes such as buuf and what not, but I dont wanna go through the entire hassle of backing up and flashing and all that stuff if someone knows off the top of their head if itll work or not. (And Im at work so its kind of hard to do that )
I'm just guessing at the moment, but since test2 supports the 1.2 officially, it would seem that any theme for the ROM should work fine. I was going to nandroid and try one out
Look for blackzeth in the android themes section, thank me later.
I have released Community Hero Mix beta 2 for Test2.
Give it a try.

Total noob new

Hey, all, just wanted to say that I'm new to Android and have probably been on here during the Samsung Blackjack days.
Any who, I need to be pointed on the right direction. What is the best ROM to use right now (stable)? I really hate the T-Mobile bloatware and have already rooted my phone, using the required steps given by this site.

Juggernut

Saying which ROM is best is very subjective. I would recommend trying dewizzed, macnut, and juggernaut. Those in my opinion and in same order are the most stable. Try each one for a days and see which one out ultimately feel suits you best. Everybody likes something different so start flashing and testing.
There is enough hate in the world. Why can't we all get along here ...?
I use spotify with my phone, does it need a specific ROM or it just needs to be based off of Gingerbread or whatever?

If you like the feel of the stock ROM, but want extra features and tweaks, go for Juggernaut. It is extremely fast, stable, and well developed overall.
And spotify should work.

Yea, I hear yea. What I meant to say is I want a stable ROM without the Tmobile bloatware and I want it to be faster than what is already loaded; a slimmed down version.

I think that's what I will do. Thanks for the info all!
Also, just wanted to ask because I didn't do a backup of my original ROM, would I search for stock rom in this sub-forum?

Can someone please point me in the right direction...I have Juggernaut, pretty effin sweet, I must say. I have Go Locker with the Honeycomb theme. How can I install different lock screens, and do they have to be compatible with the Honeycomb theme?
Mod, if this is in the wrong place, please move it accordingly.
Get the Tuesday rom... best, stable , fast newly updated rom

havent used jugs in awhile but i believe you have lockscreen options under rom manager..and on the market there are tons lock screen replacements. go locker, magic locker, those are 2 good ones out of many. once you have either those simply find what theme you like.

Suggestions for stable AOSP Tom's?

I'm running Decks 1.3d. Kinda getting bored. I've been looking at MIUI. I had 4g in my area but don't see a difference in speed so would get it. Camera has to work. Any suggestions for MIUI or any stable rom?

Try one of the new ICS ROM's? The camera's have been iffy though there is a fix for all of them for the most part. AOKP, Gummy, or Deck for there.
Or if you want to stick to GB, try the new CM7.2.
This is the wrong section, brother, you need to post this in Q & A section, this is for developing.
hahahahahaa...I can't believe that even after all this time, people STILL post in the wrong section!
I think XDA should ban you for about a week or so if you post in the wrong section....LOL
Don't hate on the noobs.LOL they don't know any better. ( although they should be able to read the sections they're clicking on when going to post a new thread) every time I see a q&a post in the dev section I can't help but laugh.

[Q] Where Do I Start???

Hi To All,
I apologize for the maybe redundant question this forum doesn't have a lot of help/assistance. Coming from the senastion there was/is always someone ready to give help/advice. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S II T-989 yesterday and I am looking for help/direction to be able to flash BLACKEDITION FOR THE SGS2 4-3-2012-ICS. What do I do first, second, third and so on?
All help is very appreciated.

Make sure you wipe VERY THOROUGHLY! Use the super darkside wipe that can be found in our dev forums. Then flash. If you get bootloops, or get stuck at the boot screen for a crazy long time rewipe and try again. Remember that even on a successful flash it WILL hang on the samsung screen for quite a while. PM me if you need more help, sadly help is hard to come by around here.

I want to thank you for you kind response and offer to help. I am coming from the Sensation and everyone was always willing to help each other help it is like trying to move mountians. People often forget where they came from and their first time. I was fortuniate to come across damngood98 who helped me throught the whole process. Besides BlackEdition are there any other roms that have custom Icons?
We have really good gingerbread rims, ics is a bit too buggy for me. Try m & s Blu ray. Its heavily themed and beautiful and fast. 3 different themes to choose from with icons.

M&S does have nice roms and maybe they would look different on the phone but I had already chose and set up Darkside's rom. I was looking for a rom that gave 5 Icons ie (phone, contacts, messaging, application, home). I can't find TW Launcher on Darkside's Rom though.
If you haven't already tried it, Google search touchwiz 4.5. It runs a hell of a lot smoother than regular tw, and it's more customizable

How to?

I'm planning to work on a ROM myself with the mods i like, starting from the scratch of an Official ROM, i just wanted to know how
-A gingerbread ROM can be made compatible with the latest HBOOT (for ex. say cm7r2)
-Do we have sense 3.5 mod packs?? or should we go about searching for each mod?
Please do help me out on this people.

Dsxidia has a kitchen, you should check out the chef section of XDA, it's designed for experienced chefs or serious students only, sounds like you fall in the latter category.
The other thing you might want to check out is modaco, it allows a cookie cutter approach, but probably not quite what your looking for.
Good luck, tinkering away with a willingness to learn is how alot of great chefs got their start.
