[Q] Cleaner program (bad phone swap thru verizon) - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Has anyone w/ a DInc 2 gone through their "cleaner" program for their phone due to horrible reception or anything else like that? If so, did it work or did your phone wind up being just as ****ty w/ reception as before?

Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Possible radio issue on device w/ ROM juggernaut 5.0

So recently I've noticed that my 4g connection is dropping down to 3g a whole bunch when I'm in an area with very good coverage of 4g. I don't know of any issues related to this on any post I've searched for online so far. There might be one but haven't found it yet though. If anyone can give me some advice to this issue id appreciate it cause I'd love to utilize my phone as much as possible.

[Q] T989D troubles

Been on the forums for awhile now... never really posted anything more or less just read and take advice from the plenty haha. This time around, I actually could use a hand.
I've been having ongoing issues with my T989D with either the radio or the modem I can't really determine, but what seems to be happening is periodically when I'm on the call with someone they claim I cut in and out or the line fades out. I'm beyond boggled what could be the issue and more or less have tried everything and anything ?!?
1) As for another post I tested the microphone with the recorder app and it works 100%.
2) I'm currently running TLLE4 on Telus 4.0.3 stock from ODIN
3) My signal strength on HSPA is always around -69dbm to -82dbm so I can't determine if it's somehow network issues?
4) I'm from Toronto, ON and on virgin mobile if that helps at all...
5) I've reverted to stock numerous times / custom and still people say I cut in and out.
6) Almost down to my last resort and send the phone in for repairs if anyone out there believes I have a lemon
Any help would be I would be beyond grateful.
Thanks XDA

Would definitely want to confirm the radio/modem there. There have been some issues with some ROM's and bad voice quality, but that doesn't sound like it should be the case with you since you have reverted to stock and still have it.
In the event you have to bring the phone back for repair then you should flash the counter discussed in this thread:

Yes sorry im on TLLE4 on Telus 4.0.3 stock from ODIN.
I've reverted back the counter already incase. Im just utterly confused why every call seems to cut in and out ?!?

My Samsung Galaxy Nexus Nightmare

Hey guys ever since getting this phone ive been having to keep getting replacements for it and it still havent fixed the various problems that ive had with this phone.
1. microphone will cut out during calls and sound will stop working.
This problem has been resolved from getting a replacement through verizon's warranty program.
After receiving my replacement however, i am now getting the signal drop issue where the only way for the phone to work is putting it in CDMA mode. Ive researched online and found that various other people have been experiencing the same problem with their galaxy nexus. So i go to the store to order another replacement.
After receiving my 3rd replacement, still no luck. This phone is still experiencing the same problem has the last where the signal would randomly keep dropping. So i go back into the store and decide to switch out the sim card for the phone and order another replacement.
The 4th replacement comes in and to still no surprise the signal keeps dropping off. I found that both korean made phones and chinese made phones are experiencing the same problem. Ive changed my SIM card, rooted and unrooted, tried various roms, updated to the unofficial 4.1 jelly bean update and still nothing fixes this damn radio problem.
Im so fed up with this phone but if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated as i have no idea how to get a working galaxy nexus and have never experienced a working one still. I would KILL to get a phone that actually keeps a 4g signal ><
This should not be in development.
Oi...
I don't quite understand the purpose of these threads...
For reference, this is the development forum despite the Verizon designation. Releases only here.

oops sorry will move my post to general.
Can't find download links for your rom.
oh wait...
There is nothing you can do except to keep getting replacements. No software will fix your issue at this time.
I just received a replacement yesterday as my phone's radios, voice and data would disconnect and only a reboot would fix it. Today I made it through the day without it happening once on my replacement. Still not convinced it is the device though until I go a few days without it happening.
If it happens with this one, I would say it is more of software radio issue and not the physical device and Samsung needs to do something about it.
So, I will see how it goes over the next few days. If this one continues to work, then it could possibly be the device. I My first GNEX though would not keep 4G for more then a minute and jump off, then on, then 3G, then 4G. To me that was the device. My next one would just lose it after a few hours, otherwise it was fine....
Let's hope the 3rd one is a charm.
Try updating the radio and is it possible you live in a area where signal is poor. I haven't had an issue at all with my nexus

"like new" replacement improperly tested
Jooining the club.... I had a relatively well functioning gnex until about 2 weeks ago, it did reboot once in a while, but oh well. Then it totally died suddenly. Tried to revive it to save data, but to no avail. So here you come Verizon "like new" replacement..... :fingers-crossed:
Oh no....well sure enough, started to have problems with dropped connectivity data + voice immediately after init.
Previous phone never did it. And it is doing this over a huge urban city.... I was careful in transferring my SIM as well.
there a slew of threads around forums discussing this issue and related (among others see through https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24345"]https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24345
Is is time for class action against Verizon for improper testing procedures and wrongly sending faulty devices as new (which they can pass along to Samsung since ultimately, it is probably Samsung who is playing dumb) ?

[Q] Will there be an official Samsung/AT&T fix for the battery drain problem?

My question is pretty much as the title states. What do you guys think are the chances that Samsung and AT&T (or any relevant provider, I guess) will release an official fix for the battery drain problem that has been occurring with a lot of S3's out there? If the odds are good that Samsung/AT&T will eventually do something about this, how long do you think it will take?
I ask this because I just got my S3 last week, and I have the battery drain problem really bad. I've found that turning off wifi and mobile data before I put my phone to sleep largely fixes the problem, but that's stupid. I didn't buy the best phone on the market to have to do stupid stuff like that. I will probably put a custom ROM on my phone at some point in the future, but this is my first smart phone ever, so I want to experience the stock ROM for a while just to ground my experience with smart phones.
edit: Woops, I posted this in the wrong Q&A. I meant to post this in the AT&T one, obviously. You guys can still answer I guess, if you want. If a mod wants to delete this or move it, I would be ok with that too. Sorry.

[Q] Unstable 3G problem

Hello,
For my first post on this forum so I introduce myself, I live in the region of Liège in Belgium, I have 20 years and I just bought 3 months now I9300 galaxy s3, here's my question and I think I 'm not the only one to encounter this problem VERY LARGE because it is really very serious for a phone like the GS3
I'm running 4.1 JB Polish, first I check that my problems come from the phone and not my sim card .. Just as my old BB 5520 I never had any problems, and I notice that when I encounter problems if I cut back on the 3g and its re works ..
So to start 3/4 problems are encountered with the Facebook application.
What happens? Worse than slow internet modem 56k, break connection without stop I have to refresh each time without success and again he told me that there is no connection when I'm on 3G ...
I refer to her: network-3g-unstable-SGS3-t19656.html
I have a can chippoter but nothing happens
Almost IMPOSSIBLE to access facebook via 3g, and my web pages I often update 5.6x before something
PS: I'm not very good in english so please excuse me
Thank you so mutch
no person has met the same problem as me? Strange
This question is probably better suited in the I9300 GS3 forum, a moderator should be by at some point to move this.
I had already put in the I9300 forum but have moved here, nobody has the same problem as me? Reassure me that I am not the only one I have yet seen many post on this forum talking about the same problem of instability 3g ..
up ?
