Good day everyone!
Anyone who can help me on my problem? I tried flashing mine to Cool3Dsense 3.0, but i got stuck in the htc logo, what i did was to install the zip file which i downloaded from their thread, and followed by the stock hboot file coz im still using the stock hboot, I'm on the latest radio, have flashed mine to MIUI, cm7, villain, insertcoin, all of them worked well aside from this rom. I cant post on their thread because i need 10 more posts as a newbie to post in there. Hope you can help me guys! This is my first post btw. Thank you!

Full wipe before the flash??
I'd say 10/15 minutes is plenty of time.

I believe that it did work, just that he did not wait long enough. I waited close to 30 mins during the first boot. But just in case I am wrong, did you have a 1gb EXT partition?

hi, i have a WFS A510e marvel with S-On, rooted. every time i try to install a custom rom in recovery mode it says that install complete but then stucks on htc white screen and never moves forward. i mailny use to wipe data/reset then wipe cache partition and then wipe dalvik cache and then installing a custom rom.
Any one please guide me on this
Uh, try using superwipe, it may help. If it doesn't then it might be a problem with your rom.
Which rom are you trying to install?
perfectly done?
have you performed all steps properly ??
nandroid backup?
wipe cache
advance wipe dalvik cache !!!!
Try format system partition?
-create correct partitions
-wipe data,cache,dalvik cache twice
-install superwipe
-again,wipe all twice
-install your rom and wait max 10 minutes
If i helped you,click "Thank's" button.have a nice night.

go to Hboot menu and do a Factory reset. (after flashing Custom Rom)
Got similiar problem, only EQDKP roms are working fine, tried cm7.2, 9 and Fresh Ice rom [which i want the most] and always stuck.
After installing the rom make cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe than reboot your phone... and for the first start you might have to wait around 10 to 15 minutes...

Are you sure you did everything as in the instructions? First partition to ext4 + linux swap, then install rom, boot and install data2sd. It works for me.
Anyway, we NEED someone knowledgable to try to fix this problem.

At the moment I'm using MildWild 4.3 bases on Oxygen on my Desire, wich has App2SD integrated in the ROM.
Now I tried to move to MildWild 5.8 based on CyanogenMod 7.2., wich has just the option to install Apps on the SD card and doesn't use the ext-Partition. When I install S2E (simple2ext) my Desire gets stuck on the HTC-Logo while rebooting. I have a 32 GB SD-card with a 2 GB ext3/4 partition (tried both).
Does anybody have the same problem or a solution for me?

Whichever 2 ext app I used, in the settings was a checkbox to use ext4 partition, first time I ran it I missed this and it hung on boot, sounds the same as your situation.
I just restored the nandroid backup which I'd just made, ticked the box and rebooted, all its now fine.

A read this in the discription of S2E. The last time I waited for at least 20 min, nothing happend.
At least I'm not the only one with this problem. I think I will start a new attempt with MildWild 6.0 and give link2sd a try. Thanks so far.:good:
Finnally works
It works now, with MildWild 5.8 and S2E.
All I had to do was removing the A2SD script from the ROM befor flashing it (path: \MildWild CM-5.8 Stable.zip\system\etc\init.d\), acording to this discription.
Hi all,
Sorry - I know you get a lot of "which is best" but I've been going around in circles looking at all the different ROMS
My needs:
Wifeys's phone keeps running out of memory.... the old story
want to replace the std ROM with one excluding bloatware
want to use apps2SD to make best use of limited space
Need a Stable ROM not the latest and greatest, just a fast stable ROM (Android version doesn't matter - she'll be using it for photos, mail, txt and facebook)
Don't want to be updating it in future - just one stable ROM to put on and forget.
Please could you offer suggestions
Many thanks in advance

I am in the exact same situation but I do have the marvelc (MetroPCS). I have tried MESSYSENSE and insink71's ROM but don't know enough to disable the A2SD scripts on my own. I have the bootloader unlocked, but S-ON; installed clockworkmod recovery, and upgraded to hboot 1.10.
I have a 4GB sdcard which I want to partition in 3GB FAT32 and have 1GB internal memory.
My wife wants me to spend $100+ in one of the newer phones but for what she uses the phone for the Wildfire S with 1GB internal memory would really make her happy and save me some dough! So I guess a stock ROM with init.d and rooted should do the trick once I run CRONMod INT2EXT+
Help please!

Doing it now, it's stuck in the first HTC screen, the one that displays HTC in bright green, before it goes into the the softer green font and displays the carrier. That's where it takes a long time or on the one after?
518MB primary partition formatted in EXT3, about 3.2GB in FAT32, primary and first partition. Installed your ROM after full wipe, ran the script and formated sd-ext like it says. Boot loop, after the MetroPCS logo it reboots back into the HTC quietly brilliant splash screen. What the heck could be happening???? I'm S-ON but unlocked. Could that be it?
I can confirm it's the script because I flashed only your ROM and the phone booted OK. Will try running the script again after 1 boot to see if that works. The only thing left to try is that the OP of CRON's thread says that some phones have problems and to mount /system before flashing the scripts.
No luck, boot loop. One thing that I don't understand is why doesn't is why programs like Link2SD cannot see my sd-ext partition. Could that be it?

Yes, that's exactly what I did. Let me try a2sd+ and see what happens.
a2sd+ didn't go into a boot loop but my space didn't increase. So to everyone out there AVOID the MetroPCS HTC Wildfire S. This has been a nightmare, Crossfire77 I really appreciate your help and your patience. Tomorrow the wife gets a new phone.

Nice stable rom
I've tasted a few roms since I rooted my wildfire S and I have the same answer for everyone that looks for a stable rom:
- WildJOY joyOS There haven't found any bug at all on it and it's quite smooth. The only "problem" is that if you don't like iPhones this interface is not for you.
I have an HTC Desire
I have turned S-off successfully using Revolutionary.
I have used Unrevoked successfully and now have Clockword Mod Recover v2.5.0.7 installed
I have wiped data/factory reset and wiped the cache partition and Dalvik Cache
I have formatted my class 10 32 Gib SD card with a 31gb FAT32 partition and a 1 GB ext3 partition
I have copied the zip for this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1945441 onto the card
I am then able to install from the zip and get the following messages
E:can't find MISC:

Message
Thank you for choosing CM10 etc
Formatting system
installing CM10 VJ
Creating symlinks
Setting permissions
Install from SD Card complete
However when I reboot it just goes back to the stock HTC Desire screen
Any help you can give me would be appreciated. I think I have followed all the steps, but am I missing something? I have also tried to install a couple of other ROMs but the same thing happened.
Thanks
It may sound basic, but the first boot after installing a ROM takes a while.
How long are you waiting? I've had cases where it's taken up to fifteen minutes.

Fastboot oem eraseconfig could help , or flashing 4ext recovery ant then run usb unbrick (also fix misc partition).

Did you follow all the instructions here (http://supernova.droidzone.in/category/installation/ )?
You could try MildWild Redux. It's supposed to be updated today, and it moves data/app and Dalvik cache to sd-ext. Combined with the cm7r2 hboot, it should be enough for about 100 medium sized apps.

No problem. You actually do a lot better than others.
So, you did the right steps, including the full wipe and the correct partitioning. Then it might be the sd-card's fault. Do you have another sd-card laying around? If you do, then partition it, and try installing supernova.

What MildWild ROM did you download?
Sure ,let's start can't wait to have working supernova

What were you wiping until now? When you install a ROM, you have to wipe everything except sd-card. Sd-ext too.
