Does anyone have this issue? Im running full stock with few apps and I cannot get YouTube videos to load on 3g, 4g, or WiFi. I even tried reapplying the proxies to no avail.

Me Too
I have the same issue. I created a short 1 minute movie, then clicking share givess me a list including Youtube. It acts like it is going to work just fine, but it gets stuck on "Loading".
I think the problem is with YouTube, because it was very slow for me too yesterday, sometimes wouldn't load at all even on wifi
I had the same issue. It's definitely with the app it's not your phone. Usually While the video starts to act up, I just back out and go back into it really quick. Works like a charm.
Hope this helps!
Go to settings-applications - YouTube. Then wipe data. See if that works.

My youtube app is acting up. I have all updates installed and I can search and browse fine. When I go to play, I get no volume, and the ticker moves at a rate of 3-5 seconds of play time per one actual second of time. I removed updates and does the same thing. Used the browser based youtube and again same thing. Any ideas as to what's wrong here?
Not rooted, completely stock btw.
I've been seeing the same thing lately to where I press play and sound just comes on and no video and i exit out of the app and still sound so I force close the app and sound of video still going so I have to turn off phone and then back on but I'm not sure either what's going on.

I did some more investigating and it turned out that I was getting no sound period. Not from ringer, nor from anything else. I pulled battery and restarted, back to normal.
Ive had problems with video on all roms.
I play something... be it youtube or whatever... the video plays fine.. but then i go to back out of it. And i get a blue bar on the right of the screen.. and then i have to pull the battery.
What could be causing this?? I thought it could be overclocking.. but have tried running at stock speeds with the same issue.

Not sure why but sometimes when i search videos on the youtube app and click to play them it just says I'm unable to play them. I'll pull the battery out and search the same video and then it will play. Is there any way to fix this issue??

You can try clearing data in the app but my guess it is more stream related. Next time try toggling airplane mode on and off and see if that works. Then it is a 3G issue which you kick start when you pull the battery.
Do you BONSAI?
I ran into this same thing yesterday, and I cleared the data and everything was back to normal. Kenny was right on point, hope it works for you too.
Pulling the battery is a power cycle and seems to be the only fix. I have also noticed that after an unknown amount of time all video playback and even video recording stops working (android system, flash still works) til I power cycle. I'm thinking it has something to do with the in app between video ads. Anyway, I'm back to pulling my battery at least twice a day.
Some youtube videos are unplayable on mobile devices, like android and ios devices. This isn't anything we can control, the makers of the videos (usually music videos) decide whether or not the video can be played on mobile devices. You can try opening the video in the browser and playing it directly on the page, but chances are it'll be choppy as he'll

You pull your battery twice a day? I suggest a few things:
1. Get insurance on your phone
2. Put phone in driveway
3. Run that thing over AT LEAST 12 times
4. Get a new phone
If you're serious, you need to get a new phone because something is certainly wrong. I'm currently on about 120 hours of uptime, as in, time since the last reboot.

The power cycle is to force YouTube app to work. I watch a lot of video. The phone runs perfect otherwise.
Did you try clearing the data in the app?
Yes. Also force closed and cleared from app manager.
I had the issue where it force closed as soon as I opened it and clearing data didn't work. There was actually another entry on my phone that was causing issues. I think it was in data\data. I deleted all youtube entries (searched with root explorer) then cleared Dalvik and downloaded and installed youtube from market. Worked fine after that.
Same here, same thing happens to my visual voicemail, neither will work until I power cycle. Then they will both work fine for a while, then randomly stop again.

There are three different errors, "not available in your country", "not available on mobile devices", and "there was a problem while playing, Touch to retry" that last one is the one that makes the youtube app unusable.
In your experience, does Dolphin HD often stop responding?
Every few minutes, while waiting for a page to finish loading, an error box pops up, saying Dolphin HD has stopped responding, Force Close or Wait.
I click on "Wait", and the page finishes loading. All is well until the next slow-loading page, and it happens again and again.
Does Dolphin do this to you?
Once in a blue moon it does, but it doesn't happen enough to really bug me. I'm trying to think if it does it on my phone, but I don't browse that much on it since I have the tablet.

Thanks for the reply, @reverendbill.
I uninstalled Dolphin HD, thien reinstalled it, and so far it hasn't choked.
(Crosses fingers).
Ive had this happen to me for awhile. Uninstalled, reinstalled, and they did stop for awhile... just to come back again. I went back to stock browser.
I wonder if its a cache thing, like when you exit, you have the option to clear it out. Wonder if that helps.

Dude, dolphin hasn't given me the first problem yet. What are you running with dolphin? (Like plug-ins) and what else do you have installed that requires internet besides keeping track of updates?
ummmmm............ could you repeat that?
I'm having this really weird issue with these two apps for a while. Basically I would keep getting connection error in the Play store or on Youtube every few minutes or so, then I would retry and everything would be back to normal. Odd thing is that I can have a browser open in a side window and go to google or any other website just fine while this issue happens. I'm not sure if there's more google apps affected. Hell one time it was so bad that Youtube refused to load for a good minute or so, I opened a pen window for the browser, loaded up the same youtube video in there and it started playing before the app even loaded it (kept giving me connection error).
I have Adblock Plus running in the background so I wonder if that's what's doing this..but it seems odd for it to affect these apps.
Any ideas to fix this?

I don't have Adblock but I have issues with YouTube App aswell. It works most of the time flawlessly but sometimes like you it seems to take to long to load so what I do is close the app fully then launch it again and it works fine, I also had another weird issue of whenever I played a video in full screen and changed the tablets orientation it would dim the brightness to 0% (even changing the screens brightness to 100% wouldn't cause the app to brighten up) and hoy a "small weird box with what looked like signal bars next to it", this hasn't happened the last few times I used the tablet but its just bizarre so deffo something is up with the App that's for sure.
So this is a problem I've had since switching to the Note....videos play fine on youtube but eveywhere else, I get nothing. Some examples - if I load Facebook in the browser (doesn't matter which, I currently use Now), I get the video preview but when I press play, goes black. If I try to load a video through tapatalk, black. If i try and watch a youtube vid attached to a play store app, black screen (unless I jump over to the YT app). This also happens when trying to watch any video on a web page and in Reddit Now. Videos work just fine on Instagram.
I'm stumped. Ive switched the video player back and forth in Dev options with no success. Has anyone had this issue?

Well that worked one time and then stopped. I was able to load an instagram video in the browser, but since then, its back to nothing working. Removed Flash as well.
I really dont want to reset the phone, and likely wont. Its more of a minor annoyance than anything else. Still sucks not being able to play any videos in a browser.
