You can either go to settings > about phone > system updates and see if it pops back up. It won't let me post the link to download the update manually but go to the Tmobile support forums for the G2 and search for 'download update'.
Are you rooted? If you're rooted it won't work. Go to the dev section and pick up the pre-rooted OTA ROM.

Hi all, this morning i woke up and thr update finally got pushed to my phone. I clicked update and my phone restarted however i had a yellow triangle with the droid guy. I restarted my phone via cwm, but now i cant get the update. If i go to system settings it still shows 2.3.4 but it says my system is up to date. How can i get the update again? Btw i am rooted on stock rom.

The OTA will not work if you have CWM on your phone. If you used sfhub's auto root method to root, you can run it again and remove CWM by installing EG30 only but I don't know if the update will be pushed to your phone again. If not there are a couple ways you can install the OTA manually in the Development threads.
See FAQ #E12 in the 2nd post of the Auto Root sticky:
e12) I told it to install the EK02 update, but something went wrong, now it won't prompt me again, how do I install EK02?
Thanks so much! Ill try it when i get home from work

Moved to Q&A.

Well now you cant run an update with a custom recovery on board and since you started it there is prolly a file or the OTA server thinks you have it installed and is not offering it again.
Best thing to do on phones where you have custom recovery? Look here on the boards for the Stock ROIM of the version you want. If you wanted it un-rooted [no super user] then look in the returning to stock thread, if you want supersu (have your phone rooted) then look for a ROM of your choice based on the Android Version of your choice they range from hardly any changes [the ones that say only busybox and rooted are usually just stock ROM with just those 2 additions].
You want to use JB which Samsung has not even upgraded the T989 to yet [completely stable and I have been using it as my Daily Driver for month ].
First download ROM Manager from Market and have it flash CWM Recovery
Go to development section here and find the ParanoidAndroid thread and download the Nov 18 dated file and Gapps and flash those
Now you will have Android 4.1.2 - Jellybean! Enjoy
I have stock rooted 4.0.4 and it asked me to update. Do you think T-Mobile is releasing an update? Anyone else getting it?
I'd like to keep my wifi calling so i havent moved to a 4.1.2 rom.

I've been receiving an update as well. Problem is every time I go to update since my phone is rooted but running the stock rom, after i reboots to start the update it sends me to Clockwork Recovery...which actually brings me to ask my question here instead of starting a new thread. I really don't want to un-root since I make use of the cracked Google Play for a couple of my apps Do I really have to un-root just to receive T-Mobiles update?
Right now Im outside of the USA how can I force or manually install the 4.1.2 update. When I try to just do update it in settings says im not in USA so wont let me.
There are files available out there that allow you to do this. I rooted/unlocked my phone and it crashed a few times so i factory reset it. After it was up and working again it would not update back 4.1.2 again. I was on lg optimus g-irc and somebody there gave me a file i used to install 4.1.2 but it required root and unlock to install correctly. Hopefully this helps. I don't have links or anything other than this information. Does this help?

So at least according to "About device" I have build:
I317UCAMA4
From what I could find, thats the latest version, but I strangly got an update notification for an update and wanted to do the download (180MB+, dont remember exact, might have been 170MB something), but afterwards I had to do some work and wasnt paying attention the next time I looked and accidentally restarted it (rooted with TWRP so naturally the update failed)...
Where can I find this update file on the device? what folder? section?
Thanks
Found it, now just gotta find the AT&T Stock Recovery to flash with Odin!
The only stock recovery we have is bundled with a rom..
Just Odin push the UCAMA4 rooted build from Mr. Robinsons thread in the development section. ..then you'll have stock recovery. ..and can take the UCAMH3 update. ...and done....g

Have a ATT S3 running 4.1.2 / I747UCDMG2.
I got the popup for the OTA update which advised if I go to wifi it will download. I did not hit continue and just hit the home button.
I do not have root, and want to make sure I do not get the update... Any suggestions? Would disabling "Google services framework" work?
Thank you in advance.
No one?

What I did to avoid the 4.3 update on my new phone on 4.1.2 and my wife's phone was to allow it to download, allow it to begin instalation when it got to 50 % I pulled the battery and reboot it. It worked that way for me on two phones without root.
Has anyone else done this? I don't get notifications for it anymore.

If you installed a custom recovery OTA will terminate between the download & installation. It installs via recovery & requires stock.
If you try this be ready with Theramsey's move just in case.
