Can someone point me in the right direction to get hulu working on GB 2.3.4?
I've attached the libflashplayer.zip. Extract and you should have the libflashplayer.so file. You'll need Root Explorer and navigate to data\data\.com.adobe.flashplayer\lib and paste the file. I just modified that file and it's compatible with Flash 10.3. Please upgrade your Flash prior to applying this. Then use Dolphin HD and set your browser setting to Desktop. Then Hulu should load. That's my work around. This works regardless of which ROM is installed (2.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.4, or 2.3.5).
P.S.
Please hit the Thanks if this helps you out.

Is there a hulu app or is it a website? Should I download another rom that has hulu and extract it?

There is an app, but it requires you to use an outdated version of flash. It may not seem like a big deal until you visit a site that no longer supports the version.
The website method allows you to watch full screen too. It'll be/act the same way it does on your pc.

Since EPST 2.2 within FroYo won't allow you to change the PRL(the ##775# trick), I need to install EPST 2.1.
Where can I find that? (And how do I replace it?)
I'm fully rooted with netarchy custom ROM.
Thanks.
Here you go....
Thank you for the file.
Now do you know which folder I have to place it in?

If you're rooted, all you have to do is place it on your SD card, and open it with a file explorer (I use EStrong) and it will run the install. From my understanding, if you don't have root, you cannot install from the SD card so I don't know how you would go about it. I rooted my phone as soon as I got it so I don't even know what it's like to NOT have root.....lol.
Whoops, wrong thread, sorry, didn't mean to necro it :/
I could use a little help here. I downloaded and installed the above file to my HTC Hero running Froyo 2.2 and I am still unable to use the ##775# option. Any reason why this wouldn't work on my Hero?
And yes, I do understand that this is not a hero forum, however, It also seems that most of the Evo guys found their roots in the Hero, so help a brotha out

I just had to reinstall EPST from 2.1 following a ROM change. I did get it to work by following these steps:
1. Initial attempt to install from SD gave options to uninstall / run. I uninstalled from here.
2. in Root Explorer went to system/app and renamed the original EPST.apk to EPST.tmp in case I needed to reinstall (This is optional).
3. Copied the EPST 2.1 apk to system/app.
4. clicked EPST.apk from w/in Root Explorer and prompted to install from there.
5. Closed Root Explorer and tested ##775# again. It now works, just as it did on Myn's ROM.
Hope this helps anyone still having issues with ##775# resulting in no action.

this will work in 2.3.?
No. This won't work in 2.3. Bummer!

Has anyone found the Modded Adobe Flash Library file for the newest Market Version (10.1.106.16) yet?
I heard it was floating around unrevoked's IRC channel, but I have yet to see it pop up.
Patiently waiting in the mean time.

Here you go. All packaged up with Hulu. Make sure you update Adobe in the market first.

You don't need a modified flash file. The zip file attached above contains everything you need. Pay attention to the last sentence in the post. You NEED to download the latest version of Flash Player from the marketplace. After you do that install the file you downloaded above from recovery.

Doesn't work. I updated Adobe in the market, then downloaded this .zip and installed it via recovery and now I get "Hulu is not supported on your platform".

Check your path for the libflashplayer.so file.
Is it data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib?
You could always try ripping the .so file out of the zip and just pushing it with root explorer or adb.
I tried doesn't work for me either... I tried doing it both ways.

Root explorer method I mentioned above worked for me. I'll try and see if I can get the update script working.
I tried the root explorer way it didn't work for me still get the error.
Ok it works it just doesn't survive a reboot.

Working for me even after a reboot. Wonder if it's ROM related? Are you running an AOSP? Anyway, I'll tinker with it a bit more and see if I have any luck.
Yep I'm on aosp 2.3.2. Either way thanks I can deal with doing it manually.

I know there's a thread for this but I'm not finding it anywhere. Why can't I play flash videos anymore? What's the fix/workaround? I click on the video box and it appears to be "playing" but it's just a black screen.
I posted the instructions in the MIUI thread, but they apply for the AOSP roms so here is a link to that post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19562913&postcount=1629

Thanks for this, but I'm navigating to data>data>com.android.browser, and I don't have any file or folder named app_plugins. Could it be in any other location?
Are you using the stock browser? If not, you have to go to data>data>insert.package.name.of.your.browser And you do have flash installed, right? I would uninstall flash and reinstall the market version and it should create the folder.

Hi all,
I've uploaded this root method because it is the only way I have been able to get root on the first try every time.
Your results may vary. If you don't get it first try, just try again.
Here are the methods I have tried and had fail:
UnlockRoot
Doomlord v1
Doomlord v4
TPSparky
SuperOneClick (Any Version)
So here you go! Here is a method that I have had 100% success with. I will be editing the script to try and make it more clean and less work on your part in the future. I will post new versions on this thread when I get them done.
Required Downloads
LG Nitro HD Root.zip
Enabling Root Rights
Enable USB Debugging and Unknown Sources.
Unzip the zip file to the location of your choice.
Run the file named “Root.bat”.
Follow the instructions on in the CMD window.
Notes
Here is a list of the apps that I have found will brick your Nitro if removed:
AT&T Address Book
AT&T Navigator
Google Play Books*
Google Play Movies*
Google Play Music
Google Play Store/Market
removal of at&t addressbook and navigator doesn't brick your device !
i confirm this !

Thank you for your input. But, I have removed both of them individually and bricked it. Also, several others have reported in other threads that it has. I believe it just depends on how much luck you have.
Just tried... no worky.
Again, I am trying to root on 2.3.5. Zerg fails, SOC wont make it past rebooting adb...

Matt your instructions for root say to extract from zip, root.bat. But your link takes me to a apk root file not a zip file...
can you be more specific or maybe the link is misdirected?
are you saying this is a root method via apk from phone?
IM starting to remember why I sold my g2x....nothing changes eh LG??

But as to what? Run the apk on your pc o_0
His directions say dl zip, yet there is no zip it directs you to a page that looks like what may have been in the zip? Still not clear
The apk root ...it shows up on the phone but still unclear.
Need the link fixed or to be clarified please Mattman when you get a chance thank you.
Edit: is the zip you were refering to the lg tool that reverts you to v18f ?
If so will this work on official ics release via lg tool.
Thanks again in advance

Terribly sorry... The privacy settings on my Google Drive must have been reset somehow.
I've fixed it so that the zip should show now.
But it now says that you have binned the file. It works right, doesn't it?
Mattman your script isnt working.
When I hit "any key to continue" it flashes..but its not flashing anything.
Cmd window turns off (checked process not running at all)
nothing happens.
No instructions , nothing. cmd. window just exits.
so guesse thats another brick wall for root on lg updated firmware to ics.
Mattman sorry but this method does not work.
Or I should say it did not work for me.
I even put togewther my own rendition of your files that you compiled still would not work.
In fact I am now convinced the ONLy root method for the nitro running it the one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30209937#post30209937
Im not saying anything against your method, it looks solid, but it would not work.
I tried it on v20c and v18f.
I now have root but want to say your efforts and work are appreciated.
I hope this is not considering hijacking the thread I wanted to post this for others with the same issues.
EDIT: Mattman I been searching through the threads and seen that you initialy used this method off of 2.3.6? Meaning you rooted from 2.3.6? ( from the cwm thread you came up with a way via script to run cwm) I am wondering maybe your method only works from 2.3.6? what firmware did you originally root from?
i tried this method on my v20c and my wife is not working.. and never get root??
please help me

yes.. i'm agree with you.. nowadays i can root with your eady guide to unbrick the phone
Does this work for anyone who has followed his steps and also 'not' on the latest firmware like Mat mentions, just want to know before I get my phone??
If you look up Flipboard in your playstore, you wont find it because its not available for Tablets yet, sure you can go and change the build.prop file and then get it, but there is another way;
Instructions:
Download the Beta Version of Fliboard from here
Then, Install it as any other normal APK, run the app and it will itself tell you to update to latest version, and voila...
(sorry if this has been posted before)
Nice find!! Thanks
