{Poll} Favorite G2 Rom - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I thought about creating this poll to give people an opportunity to stop asking whats the best ROM in these threads. With this poll, it will show them the most popular roms that people have flashed and it will hopefully stop the questions.
So what is your favorite G2 rom?
Im currently using Cyanogen 6.1.1 in my G2.

meXdroid ROM, but that isn't in the list, so yeah.. ):

Really like meXdroidMod Ghost Chilli AIO
T-Mobile G2 | meXdroidMod Ghost Chilli AIO

meXdroidMod Ghost Chilli AIO kinda offended with it not being on the list

cm7 but thinking of trying ILWT cm 7, any comments?

I can really recomend you ILWT CM7 ROM. It is fast and smooth, battery life is great and many customizations before flashing.

I'm Using Ultimate Droid 3.3.0 On my G2
I know there was a whole lot of issues about blackdroid not giving credit and etc.
but its a Great Rom, besides that ultimate droid banner on the lockscreen..

I vote for g-lite

DD is Synergy - not on your list
I am using the synergy rom as my DD. Maybe you have offer an 'other' option in the poll

Bulletproof or anything "pyro" is always gonna be solid. I also like virtuous sense when I'm in the mood

I ran Bulletproof MIUI for a while and it was great but it sucked at closing apps that werent in use anymore and had lots of memory leaks. Running ICS right now though.

Best rom you have used

What's everyones opinion on this? there seems to be lot of variety. I have been using leedroid for the last few months and think its great. The main reason being its a sense based rom. I have tried different launchers but always seem to revert too sense.

I have used onix, bugless beast and cyanogen. I like cyanogen the best so far because of the customization extras. All 3 ran well though. I am using a moto droid though.

I have tried a few ROMS.
and i must say that there are quite a few good ones out there,
but after switching around many times...
my favorite ROM would have to be LeeDroid_2.2x
LeeDroid without a doubt
Cyanogenmod, because I hate Sense.
1. Miui
2. Miui
3. Miui
Sense ROM: Auarxtsense v8.0 (Battery ++) ,Leedroid v2.*
Non Sense: Cyanogen v6.* ,Opendesire v4.*( Battery + GPU )
Well since my new G2 went swimming in the hot tub tonight! My little slow Mytouch loves all cyanogenmod nightlies.
Sent from my HTC Magic 32A using CM Nightly 233 (CHM mix'd)
Sense : Leedroid 2*
non-sense : Defrost 6.0b
Next time take a look around before posting a redundant new thread:
Rate your tested roms
Maybe others also don't add new posts here, but post in the above linked thread.

Confessions of a ROM and Kernel junkie

I don't know what's wrong with me.
I have 5 different ROM's on my SDCard.
Cyanogen
Athena
Redemption
Redeptive rEVOlution
Skyraider 3.5
Why can't I just stick with one of them ?
And the kernels. My God, the kernels. I'm losing track..
Now as soon as Athena sorts out FB Sync, I think I'm staying there.
Until.....aaaaaagh
Just so you know for next time, this should be in general.
We all get like that I started themeing a rom myself and since then I've stuck with it.
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
I also have 5:
Skyraider 3.5
Myns 2.2 rls. 4
Uber Z Rom
Myns 2.2 rls. 5 beta
and OMGB - current ROM.
I can't pick one either.
I have omgb on my SD card and I periodically use it for a day every now and then but I just always seem to use it on days where I need a 100% working rom. Rather annoying how that works out.

My nandroids are
Uber z
Super z
My touch 4g
Miui
Cm 6 nightly 181
Incredibly reengineered
Still have a spot open for one for the weekly rotation.
I believe I am normal. Those who rooted their phones only to run one rom are not.

Mine are:
Miui
My custom gingerbread
Virtuous
Cm 6.1

I have 3 phones;
On my N1, it's cyanogen's and eVil's Sense HD
On my HD2, Core Cell's Win/Android
On my G2, cyanogen's and eVil's once again.
I got hooked on Android 3 months ago and i am a very proud junkie

I have a few:
Miui
Skyraider vanilla
Lithium
Skyraider sense
I like ihtfp's offerings so I run with skyraider sense. As of lately I haven't switched much but I will switch to Athena once he provides a black status bar and fixes FB sync. Can't wait!

You are not alone! I've got 7 ROMs on mine, CM6.1, Ruby 2.0.0, Lithium Mod, ShadowROM, MIUI, Evervolv GB and OMGB. I use invisiblek #21 for all of them, love the battery life.
Redemption, Redemptive and Carbonite Z & S. I am getting ready to try out Magnolia next.

Thank you for spelling "junkie" and "kernel" correctly, that puts you in the 99th percentile of all Android Junkies
You guys have your nandroids labeled? I always thought I was a big no-no to change the names of your back ups. I would have more if I could do that!

Fastest sense rom? Desire z

Hey guys I was wondering what your opinions are for the fastest sense rom?
I picked up a dz for my girlfriend the other week, rooted, s-off and flashed virtuous unity on it, it seems to be nice and stable but lags quite a bit here and there, especially when clicking on a contact shortcut for the quick menu, phone also has the unity3 kernel oc to 1.2, I would use cm7 but she likes all the sense stuff
Any advices would be great,
Thanks
i agree, im still using unity but its laggy, this is what i used before.... BLAZING FAST
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1096994
good luck
I would recommend Insertcoin or ported CoreDroid. Extremely smooth Rosie (smoother than Vision GB RUU)
thanks guys, ill be sure to check them out

I don't know how fast it is on other task but just do a comparison on the Rosie between stock 2.3 and coredroid 1.0 (sense 2.1 + 3.0). You'll how laggy the stock is
-----------off-topic. btw, yesterday, i went to a showroom and try out the galaxy s II. CPU is fast I admit, but won't stand a chance on UI smoothness compare to my DZ sense UI
check the official HTC OTA gingerbread update: flawless and zappy
you'll find two options of it, pure and untouched (except for root of course), at the dev subforum

Most popular Rom¿

Hey everyone I am just wondering what rom the majority of xda desire users use. Let me know thanks!!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
This should be a poll
RCMixS Sense 2.1/3.0 Evolutionary.
Agreed, set up a poll.
ROM's should all come with usage recorders to anonymously report stats about devices and ROM's - something like distrowatch for Android phones would be cool.

Cynagogenmod reaches the most users overall. I am not sure how it's on xda.
SwiftKeyed from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
I like:
Sense: InsertCoin (2.1+3.0) stable - using it now (latest 1.1.0)
AOSP: Oxygen-flashed this once in a while if I am bored with Sense (latest 2.2.1)
I am using MIUI after using Leedroid and oxygen, and before that star....something or other.
I have found MIUi to be easily the least buggy for me. I am now using D2EXT on it and it seems very very fast
Insertcoin 1.1 right now. Used leedroid and cyanogen before.
I think most people use Cyanogen, but i don't know for sure.
I'm back on stock for a while since i need a bigger SD card, my 4GB card is full.
It's a matter of taste I suppose. Some people want fancy/flashy ROMs while others want a slim bug-free stable ROM.
My personal experience with CM7 and, to a lesser extent, Redux, have been rather buggy requiring me to reboot the phone almost every day to fix a glitch here and there. Perhaps all the hacks and fancy features they add to these two ROMs is to blame for this.
But with Oxygen, I've not had to do that at all yet.
Im running Redux 1.2 themed with standard kernel atm. Great ROM for what i require with great battery life.
Looking forward to the new 2.0 redux when it is released.

Your Favorite ROMz!

Like it says. What is your favorite rom and why? I've always been a cyanogen mod Guy cause that's what I first started on. Recently I've looked into alot of rom's, I just keep coming back to cm. Post link to your rom also please.

OMGB 2.3.4 w/ Tiamat SBC 3.3.7 kernel
Been running above for last couple of weeks w/no issues. Have SetCPU O/Ced to 1152 w/ 128 min on Smartass governor. Awesome battery life w/ Seido 3500 batt.
Been tempted to try latest OMFGB nightlies, but hate to f with something that works so well.
