I have a droid charge and I have it rooted and rommed. My wife liked it, so she wanted me to do her incredible 2. So, I got it rooted and I chose miui rom, but I believe I did something wrong because the phone constantly freezes. I formated the sd card, and now I can't get it to work, as well I need to remove this MIUI, but I don't know how. can someone please help me i am new to this
Download another ROM and wipe and flash. You may have to use another SD card since you killed the other one.

I'm running a rooted Froyo 2.2 (OTA) HTC Incredible with s-off. ROM Manager and premium are installed via the market. ROM Manager is showing only Moto Droid 1 ROMs (i.e., Bugless Beast, etc.).
Now, I used to have a Droid 1, but even with a fresh, blank SD card in the Incredible it still shows only Droid 1 ROMs for download. No Incredible ROMs at all.
Any thoughts on how to correct?
maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling rom manager, or flashing a backup or new rom to see if it still does it.
Sounds like your build.prop is messed up. As far as I know, that is how Rom Manager decides what ROMs to show you. Is your ROM completely stock or have you flashed something on top of it? Oh, and this is not the correct section for this. Why does everyone purposely NOT post questions in the Q&A section?

Sorry for using the wrong section. I actually did post this in the Q&A section but wasn't getting a response. I posted then in here since I figured most devs don't bother going to the Q&A sections...
Presently, the phone is completely stock (2.2 was on it out of the box) other than being rooted (unrevoked 3.21 RC) and flashed with unrevoked forever s-off. I'm in the process of choosing which ROM to install and that's how I noticed ROM Manager wasn't behaving properly.
Try emailing [email protected]. Koush should be able to help you.
I had the same problem going from a G1 to the Incredible.
I also ended up with the Youtube bug on Virtuous 2.7, so I ended up formatting my SD card, followed by a factory default/wipe, partition wipe, and full reinstall. That fixed both problems.

Not looking forward to a full wipe until I'm ready to install a new ROM. Guess I can always manually download and install, and do the wipe & format at that time.
Just seems like such an odd bug. I'll try emailing Koush and see what happens.
Issue resolved.
A complete wipe of the phone while in recovery mode (Clockworkmod) did the trick. ROM Manager now sees it's running on an HTC Inc.
Weird, but at least it's taken care of.

search site for Z4root and then plug Ascend into computer, mount SD card so it shows up as a storage device, copy Z4root to SD card, un mound SD card so device is back to just charging. Also very important, on the forums is step by step how to use Z4root including steps to follow. I have rooted 3 Ascends without a problem with the steps from the forums.
holly cow getting closer but still not working card is formatted z4 says phone is rooted apps2sd says it needs to format card so i try that and it still says same thing even though card is formatted but it doesn't recognize it as so tried link to sd and it says cant auto mount partition PLEASE help phone has no custom roms do i need to install one usually i am good with this kind of stuff but 4 days later it still not working oh and super user is working i noticed in some post it didn't if phone was not rooted

Head over to my site, MyAscend.org - there is a custom ROM called Icarus that has all the bloatware removed, apps2sd, OC kernal, and more. It's really to install, you will just need to use an older version of clockwork (not the one that is in ROM manager). There is full instructions, just go to the developers post about the ROM. he released this rom on my site, and its a very good one. My phone is soooo much faster now!!!
You can't have apps 2 sd on stock ROM btw.

really didn't want to do the rom thing i guess i will just have to wait for the update from everything i have been searching supposibly it suppose to be out by end of month if not then i will do the rom deal i feel it would be pretty crummy if they dont do an update i have had cricket service almost since they started and this is the first brandnew phone i have bought from them cause it was a droid so if they dont fix i will be very and i do mean very upset with them so cricket lets get the ball rolling

I have a problem with my HTC Desire, that it gets stuck on the white screen with green HTC logo.
I have been using Neophytes AuraxTSense 8.1.3 for a long time, due to this problem. I wanted to test the new "true" Gingerbread ROMs, so i flashed a new ROM and the recommended radio.
I wipe everything - Data, cache, dalvik and battery.
When i reboot it get stuck on the logo screen as before mentioned.
I made a new partition on my SD card, because i read somewhere that it might be the problem that i was having. It formatted my SD card. So i don't have my recovery's anymore.. i thought they were saved on the phone itself :/
The ROM i have recently flashed/is flashed now is Leedroid 3.3.5
I hope you can help me..

I have been using the search, but i did not seem to find anything that could solve my problem.
Hold down and power, wait a moment then choose 'recovery', does this take you into your recovery? If not, find the right ruu for your desire and flash back to stock. Unless you are s off, and have sdk installed that's your only option I think.
Yeah, it does take me to recovery.
But, wipes doesnt work.
Nor does Clear Storage
Did u restore ur system in recovery?
Ur phone seems to turn into semibrick.
There are some ways to fix it,use google.
There are no recoverey, due to the format on the SD card.
I made a log, and mounted the USB storage from recovery

You have a few choices:
1 - Restore your phone from a Nandroid backup using the recovery console.
2 - Restore your phone from a Nandroid backup using Fastboot (if recovery doesn't work)
3 - Download and Transfer a new ROM image to your phone through recovery mode / by putting your SD card into your computer. Re-flash the new ROM and see if you get any further.
The issues you are describing are all too common, which is why you have received very little help. Do some searching with google and sort as much of it out for yourself, you'll learn much more that way.
Ok, so I have a my touch 3G slide. I bought my first one a year ago and it just had to be sent back for a hardware issue. I rooted it and LOVED it. So I get my new phone and root it. Difference is, it came with the new froyo, so it has not cooperated like the first phone. Here is my issue. I know it's rooted, but for the life of me I can't install a new rom! I tried rom mananger and it's like a dead fish. I can download a rom, but nothing happens when I try to install it. If I try from recovery, I get error messages. Like it won't read the zip files on my sd card. oh, and what happened to apps2sd??? I can't even find it in market now. Is my sd card bad? Do I need to unlock boot loader? Is it because I rooted with froyo? I even tried to unroot and i get the same error message. Something about image not found??? Pleased help! I've been searching for hours and have gotten no where.
I believe that you are not rooted. You can't root a MT3GS with froyo on it. You have to downgrade to 2.1 for it to be successful. Also apps2sd is not on the market because most devs don't agree with theirs apps being moved to the sd card so it became virtually useless. You could try the easiest thing which is to get the stock 2.1 rom and just flash it with recovery. Remember to put it on the root of the sd card or it wont be found.

I was following this thread after having installed Beanstalk 4.4 for my HTC One X. I wanted to return my phone to original again, but this seems a lot more difficult that changing the Beanstalk.

Mounted to USB in recovery and then copied the ROM over the the phone, Rom installed fine and phone now up and running again

There is another way I use to keep flashing ROMs without copying them into my sd card, thats is more fun for me , which is sideload , try it, it seems faster for me
