this rom looks like a stock 3.5 sensation rom we cant really have the same speed and battery life as the sensation hardware issues so it would be just the same as the other sense 3.5 roms probably exactly like prime XL 3d wit beats audio working on evo or Eternity from virus which i highly recommend viruses roms !
Prime XL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354283

FYI, "beats" is basically just a graphic equalizer. It's not the huge deal HTC is making it out to be. If you play music back with PowerAmp you can get the same effect by using the EQ.

thats what i was saying is that we do have "beats audio" on these 2 roms that i posted beats audio is not hardware its not like HTC took a dre beats audio speaker and stuck it in a phone they just modded some equalizer settings and boom a new product for them to make money off of suckers the issues that im stating is that he wants a port of a stock 3,5 sense sensation rom with great battery life and speed on the sensation which is completly hardware related to the phone we cannot have the same speed and battery lives on our Htc evos just by porting this rom .......
i wanted the rom for the theme im gonna ask the dev does he have one for the evo

asking for a theme is much easier then asking for a full port lol im sure the guys over at infectedrom for the eternity rom or those over at teamblaze would gladely make a theme for sense 3.5 like this one for you ....... it would be much easier then a full on port
heres virus and friends team website http://infectedrom.com/
heres team blazes website:http://blazing-roms.com/forumdisplay.php/3-Team-Blaze-ROMs
ive rooted my desire and now im thinking about a custom ROM but dont know which i should use.
my main priority is more internal space with a good look. i want something complete , without loads of bugs etc . i love the look of the new ics roms but obviously they are not finished
You'll probably end up using Runnymede AIO either way, so no point in further debating about it.
On a more rational level - Supernova extreme.

Absolutely nothing! That's the point
aosp all the way for me
Try MIUI rom!
Get something really blingy. Then you'll get tired of chasing millivolts and look for a stable stock ROM. Go on! Get it over with! Better sooner than later.
Try Mildwild oxygen
It looks great and is for me one of the fastest Roms I've tested.

What's aosp? I can't find it in a search . What are the perks of the recommended roms ?
Having looked at some of the suggestions I have to admit runnymede does look very nice and the beats audio would be great as I listen to a lot of music on my phone . But I take your points about the flashy aspect . Supernova extreme looks almost perfect , shame it hasn't got beats though lol .
But so far Supernova extreme is my favorite
Another vote for MildWild 3.2 here. Have tried LeeDroid, MIUI, MIUI-AU ICS, Sandvold ICS and CM9 beta, MildWild looks and feels like Ice Cream Sandwich, is blindingly quick and just works nicely.

Beats audio is just a lame ass marketing ploy of HTC. Lol. As for me I'm satisfied with the default music player plus dsp manager on aosp rom.

AOSP is Android Open Source Project. Rom build from AOSP doesn`t have htc sence but it is faster and far more stable then sense based rom, and of course it has better battery life . You have mentioned that you want more space. You should consider changing your hboot to data++ or oxygenr2 because you will have more space on internal storage but there is a down side, you will not be able to use Sense based roms. If you don`t know what is hboot you can read about it here

MIUI is nice if you want an i-phone look or I can highly recomend SMS by the RSK Team.

So I have my old DInc laying around, and I think I'm going to use it just as an mp3 player in my car via aux, and I was wondering what ROM you would recommend for that purpose?
I haven't been in the DInc scene in a long time so I don't know where to start. Battery life would be priority but with no radio use and a car charger don't even know if thats an issue.
What do you think?

Really any rom will do, but senseless roms are probably going to give you the best battery life. Really you could take any rom and just start stripping it down, deleting everything it will let you without messing things up, leaving only the bare essentials.

Not sure, i think a few roms had it half way working, but still not the real deal.
Yea an aosp-based ROM would probably be best in terms of battery, but if you're in your car, you probably have easy access to a charger so I wouldn't worry about the ROM too much.
Just install any ROM and use this script to kill all of the battery-sucking radios.

Factory stereo. Doesn't have any fancy eq features, but does have aux-in
I know the Inc didn't have Beats but I thought I did read it was ported over to some devices. I can definitely hear a difference with it on and off using my rezound, like i said. Just wondering though. I'll load up CM9 I guess soon as my microSD gets here.
Thanks for the tips guys!

so I'd flash this over CM7? Is that right?
I'd say Anthem is your best bet because it has battery life mods that help people get 20-50 hours on a single charge
the new update says it has beats and the anthrax kernal now if i use underworld latest kernal will i loose the full beats function as i know some roms actually have beats built in the kernal using special codecs and this enables full beats, hopefully someone will be able to answer this, like my new best friend diablo

I believe you will lose some beats functionality, its best to keep the volume+/beats mod and anthrax kernel,if you seperate them,it might not work as well.

Hi,
I`m running the Spazedog ICS on my desire and it is really fast (appr. 2100 pts at Quadrant)
If tried JB several times and it`s always slower and laggier.
Is there a real benefit of JB?
Right now I`m using a razr i with 4.1.2.
Great phone, fast, small, well build, but without all the goodies of CM not suitable for me.
The good old desire with the big community is still hard to beat.
I used to use spazedog ICS and I now use PA 4.2.2, and its definitely faster.
Especially now that nikez has ported ion to the kernel we use, and that most active rom devs have implemented it.

Paranoid Android. There's a link in my signature.
Vijendrahs CM10.1 ROM, and nikez 4.2.2 evervolv are also quite popular. You can find them in the development section, usually on the first page. Both of these ROMs have implemented ion.

JB has improved the graphical performance and subsequently pride of HTC Desire. The 3d rendering is a lot better than the previous CM7 ROMs. I used to play several heavy games on CM7 but I was disappointed at the stuttering 3D performance. Then I gave a try to JB ROMs and viola! There was a huge difference in the quality.
Plus, I'm a huge fan of sound, and I've got very sensitive taste for audio quality. CM7 ROMs, even with the DSP equaliser weren't good enough, until I applied the BeatsAudio mod to JB ROMs. There was this huge difference in sound quality too.

Cool but ...
I was using VJ's CM 10.1 ROM for the past few months. It's really fast and improvements all around the OS, the multitude of customisations!
One major turn off was the random reboots. Can't have that while working, so went back to GB.
I :good: the rock solid reliability of GB.
Games are definitely slower though. Not much of a problem, since I rarely play games on my trusty 3 yr old HTC Desire.
:victory:
my desire on all JB's 4.2.2 roms is a a lot slower in user interface(also in quadrant score) than GB/ICS

That shows your blatant insensivity to sound.
Beats audio is nothing but money making marketing thing, in order to get the full affect of beats audio headphones, u have to use them on something that has the software installed, which is bs if u ask me and they just another set of over priced headphones. I used to have a pair of technics headphones, they were half the price and much better sound quality. Ur paying for the name imo

Probably because like JB has smooth transitions do the games work slower. On ICS transitions are laggy so the games work smoother? I dont know really, just my opinion.

Beats headphones are widely known for their bad sound quality. Even they admitted that. As for beats audio app, it is just an adjusted equalizer, so if you have one you can control, it is even better then.
For JB roms the smoothest I've found were Nikez and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368911 it's true that gingerbread has the best speed then ICS but I get the impression that the great Devs are getting close on some new roms!
Because android 2.3.3 is very old..Use The rom of VJ 4.2.2..It is a very stable rom..
