Mango is almost ready for all..!!! - Windows Phone 7 General

Where's my phone update? This table provides update status for Windows Phone customers outside the United States. First, look up your mobile operator on the table. Then check to see what stage the update process is in. If your operator isn't listed, look for "All other operators" to check status. See the United States schedule.
Here's what each term means:
Stage 1: Testing
The software update is undergoing mobile operator network and quality tests. These tests can vary by mobile operator, software update, and device. Updates can include Windows Phone or device-specific improvements.
Stage 2: Scheduling
Microsoft is scheduling the update for delivery. This phase typically lasts 10 business days or less.
Stage 3: Delivering update
Microsoft has started to send out the update. Important: To help ensure quality, software updates are typically sent out gradually and/or in batches, so it might take several weeks before you receive notice that an update is available for your phone.

Do you have a link because the official page hasn't been updated in 2-3 months.

It sounds good.

What is your source?

Yeah, official link or this is a wind up

Got the same link it is from the official Microsoft site for the 7392 Update. So nothing new.
I am looking through my history now.
Edit: The link i think op means http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/features/update-schedule-world.aspx

More like he means the site that has been up for the past hour.
mango.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-US/default.aspx

Not really exciting....
Has been running mango RTM for a month,it is impressive...but now i think is turn for HTC to roll out their updates to fix up the camera on Mozart, still barely can take a nice picture and still no flashlight for the Xenon flash on the back.

The link!
Here's the link!

Thanks for giving the link because i forgot it to share.!!

Orange UK is showing as scheduling so that should be what counts. Two days ago Sprint had no idea when they would update the HTC Arrive and now it seems they're doing it today so let's wait and see.

The problem is, sometimes the people you speak to do not have a clue. Either the information isnt filtered down, or they just do not care enough about their jobs to keep informed.

Also check this http://mango.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-gb/howto/wp7/new-features.aspx from MS UK

That page says Mango is available now

Windows Phone 7.5 ("Mango") is now available to install on some phones. Look for a notification on your phone soon.
That is interesting

This thing is rolling out so fast the Microsoft sites can't even keep track of the information properly. Still waiting for those people who said "no current devices will have it until 2012"

YEAH!!!! OMG ITS coming

Update Blocking Carriers - Name and Shame

Ok, so it appears some carriers have blocked the first update that does nothing to WP7.
To take a quote from WP7 support:
[Some Mobile Operators have the right to skip one update if they wish.
However, they can't skip the next one, which would be an acumulative update and would include the previous one.
So if your mobile operator decided to block this one, you will be getting the early March one (which will include the Feb one too)]
from Microsoft Windows Phone Forum
The concern is if they block an update that does nothing, what will they do in future?
So, lets try to isolate which ones havent updated yet - if you have a BRANDED handset that HAS OR HAS NOT been updated :
U
- name the Carrier/Branding, Handset Model and Country so others know.
As updates hit these phones, I will append the date of the update to the handset on the list.
No update
ATT LG Quantum
ATT Samsung Focus
ATT HTC Surround
T-Mobile HTC HD7 (US I assume)
T-Mobile Dell Venue Pro. (US I assume)
Telus LG Optimus 7
Telus HTC Surround
Orange HTC 7 Mozart
Orange (France)
SFR (France)
Telstra LG Optimus 7Q
Telstra HTC Mozart - UPDATE - Mid march maybe
Vodafone (Spanish) LG Optimus 7
Now released
O2 Branded HD7 Released 3/3
Vodafone Netherlands HTC 7 Trophy - Released 6/3
Vodafone (Australia) HTC Trophy - release - some other regions also 3/3
Optus - Released 3/3
Vodafone AU - released 3/3
There is also a list of carriers who are apparently confirmed to be pusing it out - but I would debate this to be totally accurate (as with the above list) as they too are sourcing their information from posts by people who may not necessarily know if their phone is Branded.
http://wmpoweruser.com/carriers-who-are-confirmed-to-be-pushing-out-updates/
My t mobile hd7 has not received any updates so far.
None of my US branded devices are recieving anything

my unbranded devices received update love though...

I think there was an article somewhere stating that this update is being rolled out in steps to ensure that it goes out smoothly.
i think it is quite probable that MS is also sort of dipping its toe in the water before it dives in with the first proper update.

Of course this is possible, but then they go post things like:

At this stage, I am just compliling a list of branded phones that have not been updated - as they get updated, I will ammend the list and append the date of the update next to the carrier.

Well, in the support team's defense, they probably wouldn't be given that information, especially the Twitter branch of it... At least not this early. I think they're just tiering the updates, and maybe holding them off until they fix this Samsung issue...
Bass Ackwards
You need to compile a list of people that HAVE received the update, not people that have not: Microsoft directly said the first update would NOT be rolled out to everyone.
Also, what's the big deal ? It's just a pre-emptive update, not something that actually matters.

Actually, it has the first batch of OEM software updates, so it does matter.

No new games to Germany, NZ, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea for weeks

Just a heads up, for the next month or so, it appears no update or new game (at least indie) will come to these nations:
- Germany
- New Zealand
- South Africa
- South Korea
- Brazil
The app hub team completely screwed the update and you now need a Rating Certificate (nobody has it) to post in those countries. Said to be fixed in 'maybe weeks'.
You might see a few coming in the next few days, as they were already submitted previous to the update. But probably not afterwards.
What do you think ?
Yay, luckily it looks they found a workaround...

Mango Update: Carriers Status

What we know so far... The carriers below have tested and approved the update and are waiting on Microsoft to deploy it.
Official word from Microsoft is Mango will start rolling out between September 26th and October 9th.
Vodafone Australia
Optus
Telstra
Telus
Bell
O2 Germany
Deutsche Telekom
SFR France
Orange France
O2 UK
Other information as follow:
AT&T to start rollout on September 27th for HTC Surround, LG Quantum and Samsung Focus Rev. v1.3 (supposedly as there's no official word directly from AT&T to consumers)
have not deployed on telstra yet
Talked to O2 in UK and they just say they cannot say anything about it. Useless company and useless staff.
Oh Oh Oh, I have confirmation from "3" UK that they are..doing absolutely..nothing. That was 3 days ago.
I did post this in another thread but I think it got ignored because of countless "WHERES MY UPDATE" posts.
Give my email address to /b/ and I will kill all of you.

I heard some, probably not accurate, stuff, that AT&T should be rolling out Mango on day 1, which _could_ be as soon as Monday. But don't believe me, it might be HOAX.
Oh and Windows Phone CZ on Facebook asked if we are preparing for Mango update in upcoming DAYS
AT&T said, "AT&T will be among the first to offer the Windows Phone Mango update to its leading portfolio of Windows Phones this fall." Not sure if that means you can get it on day 1.

[Q] France version of Galaxy note 8 still not recieving 4.2.2..Why?

According to sammobile, countries from Germany to Malaysia had received the 4.2.2 update, the earliest from August. Why do France still not received the update? Is it that hard to release it there?

Same thing here in Canada. I know that Samsung has a reputation of being slow releasing updates but in this situation the update has been released in other regions for weeks so why the hold up?

Because you have a branded phone and your carrier releases the updates later than c432 which is stock no branded. Also the build number may differ from stock c432.

you can rebrand your device to another region code. Search for "rebrand [device name]. This is dangerous territory so be sure you really know what you do unless you wanna have a very pretty paper weight.
New 163 firmware has appeared on Firmware Finder for those interested.
C782 still on .120
All updates for C782 go through operator approval even if you have bought a SIM free device from Carphone Warehouse. This process takes a long time and if one network rejects the update then will cause further delays.

What has it got to do with whatevef network your on? I have a sim free phone and can use multiple sims.
Are you effectively saying that no networks in the UK have approved the update for their devices and as such everyone is being delayed even though your device is not restricted by carrier bloatware and settings

Correct. C782 is a UK specific firmware that comes on all carrier provided handsets and through retailers like Carphone Warehouse. Huawei no longer provide carrier specific firmware.
C432 EU firmware does not go through any carrier approval, so updates are rolled out quicker. UK updates are provided by Huawei but they have to be approved by the major carriers. Three, Vodafone, EE, O2. Only when they approve firmware will Huawei make it available.
This is why the UK is still on B120 with B150 (build 3rd August) is pending approval. EU meanwhile has seen 3 major updates since B120.
If you have a bootloader unlock code, it's well worth changing your device to C432 so you can get updates quicker, and get away from the BS that plagues the UK update process.

Thanks for the full reply. I never thought that would be the case. I assumed I had purchased a completely 'clean' phone as such and would not have the update issue. In fairness the phone has been performing great but I don't like being left out of all the update goodness that comes along.
Does the c432 latest updates bring much in the way of improvements to the phone and would be worth changing over too?
