Wifi not working after flashing to black 2.0?

Hi, my wifi isn't working after instaling black 2.0. My wifi card does turn on but no longer finds wireless networks. I even tried to enter in my wireless network with no encryption and it says not connecetd after trying for 20 seconds. I've tried to search for similar issues on this board but found nothing. Does anyone have the same problemm?
I have windows mobile 6. CE OS 5.1.195 (build 17740.2.3.0)
Rom version Pro black 2.0
Rom date 01/04/07
(irrelevant, i know) 1.16.00.00

Have you tried a hard reset? Most of us with Black 2.0 do not have wifi issues. I doubt if your issue is caused by Black 2.0

yes i've tried a hard reset, several times actually.

how many threads to we need for WIFI issues with WM6 roms, i think this is the 4th?

my wifi also dont working
it connect with the roter but can surf in M.IE

I know that my WiFi is not working unless I slide slider in WiFi control panel to the left ("best performance"). Without this WiFi is connected, but not working.

do i need to setup anything in my mobile to get the internet on my MIE
it connect to my router but i can get any page's

do you have an ip address? what is it?

yes i get ip add. from the router 192.168.2.102

I just upgraded to Black 2.0 and experiencing the same problem. I can pick up the signal find but unable to get IP from the router, it just said unable to connect to network. I'm sure my wifi is working fine as it was all working great with Black 1.1 Anyone have the same issue and care to enlight us? I'll continue and try to figure what the problem is exactly
edit - omg I'm a total idiot nevermind everything is working fine now

Wifi works great for me. Running CUSTEL's 2.02.

I also, have the same problem. I've tried alot of the new ROMS, xda,lvsw, now cingular black v.2.02, ever since i left windows mobile 5, it hasnt worked correctly. It finds networks, and can connect to them , but when i try to surf the web, it gives me some lost connection bs. I've been on this website looking for a cab or something to fix it, but havent so far! PLZ SOME1 POST THE MAGICAL CAB TO FIX MY WIFI!!!! ty.

Really Weird WIFI Problem

Greetings everyone. I've had a T-Mobile Dash (the black one) for quite a while now, but since I got it has a really weird problem with the WIFI. When I turn on the WIFI it searches the connections flawlessly, I can put the key on any connection or enter freely when is open. But then it says connecting and a few seconds later it says connections available again, as if it tried to connect and could not. This happens with ALL connections, unsecured, WEP, ect. I had installed every cooked rom available and also installed the stock one to see if it works, but alas, nothing works. Does anyone has any tips or tricks on how to get the WIFI working?

Have you considered that probably the router your phone is searching has a problem? or you tried in other location and still the same problem?

Thanks for the suggestion, but yeah, I already did that. I have tried connection in many routers and in all happen the same thing. It is a really weird problem and searching through the 3VO thread I saw somebody had the same problem but no answer. I am ready to just accept that my Dash is WIFI less forever. I have tried everything. But thanks anyway

GPRS Service: Disconnected

Im having trouble connecting the internet over 3g. Im on o2 and using Defrost (although the same happened on opendesire). When i type in *#*#4636#*#* under phone information is says GPRS disconnected.
I have entered many different APN's and have done repeated wipes, as well as reflashing new and old radios! Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? or anyone on o2 have the APN's that are working?

ha no ive not. Ive been searching for ages and found nothing. Strange thing was when i wiped and installed Defrost on its own it worked, it was only when i restored all my apps that it stopped working, so it must just be an app which is causing it. No idea which one though

any luck with your issue , Am having the same issue and would love to know if the issues is solved.

Trouble with WiFi, Android 2.3

I have some problem with Wifi on my Desire. I have installed Ginger Villain 2.0, but when i searh for wifi networks, i cant find my network. There are some other networks, but not mine.
Then i've restored Android 2.2 rooted, and everything is OK..
PS i also tried other 2.3 roms, and there is the same problem
Please, help me!

Change the channel for your wireless in your router settings. Change it to 12 or put it on auto. They work best but change it to what ever works for you.

I too have this issue with works WiFI
it only and issue on 2.3 ROMs, and is happening with every 2.3 ROM I try.
I can connect to home and mates WiFi no problem. I can connect to work no problem on any 2.2 ROM.
I have loaded a 2.2 ROM, signed into the network, saved the details in several WiFi managers, the reloaded 2.3 and the phone cannot see the network
What does 2.3 do differently/wrong compared to 2.2??

So no developers or anyone has any clue as to why this is happening in 2.3??

I hate to rub this in your face but I don't have any issues with wi-fi. Check my signature for my setup. Maybe there is a problem with the WiFi standard a/b/g/n, try changing the standard on your WiFi router (if it allows you).

Many people on the net have the same issue. And it's been the same with every 2.3 ROM I have tried. Yet every 2.2 Rom has worked fine so that suggests to me it's 2.3 issue and not an issue at my end.
I an unable to get access to the router. It's works one and while I have the password I will be shot if caught in the server room
So far it is only works router that fails to show up.
I installed WiGLE and it found if fine. The first time. Since then no go.

If you can see and connect to other networks, it could be a problem with yours. Hidden SSID? Wrong channel?
Maybe a radio update is needed?

Yes I believe it is a hidden SSID. I cannot change that.
I am on the latest radio.
I will read through that and give it a go and see what I can find

In that link it talks about setting it to scan 14 channels. I did that an BINGO straight away picks up the work WiFi on channel 13. SO it must be default 11 or 12.

[Q] wifi problems

hi all,
i have a problem with my nexus i9250 which is regarding wifi.
since updating to 4.3 i've had problems with connecting to wif and i found out it was a common problem among the i9250 users,
the solution i found was to install custom rom.... which i did.
problem is i still cant use wifi.
the weird thing is that when i scan for wifi with my mob, i find network of other people but i cannot find my home router.
any ideas how to solve this?
