This project aims at getting the open source android OS to compile and run on HTC Hero. No Rosie or any HTC apps will be ever be added to that rom. Once fully functional, it could be used as a base for cookers.

so do u mean that if i install this cupcake version then i will be able to install themes made for g1??
I don't think it is that easy, on 1.6 the G1 had 3/4 pretty nice roms but the themes only worked for 1 of them @ the time and each revision of the ROM requered a revision of the theme, even when staying on 1.6 all the time)... So there is more specific stuff in the themes then some png's

Overview
This BETA build is a port of a recent WWE 2.1 Legend dump. You'll be pleased to know that the speed of Rosie is double what it was before.
This is a very solid build, which is incredibly stable.

WHEN INSTALLING> Follow this process:~
1. Nandroid Backup
2. FULL WIPE (Might work without if coming from Villain 4.0 Beta
3. Flash the ROM
4. Follow the setup wizard
5. When Sense has fully loaded, reboot.
6. Download Spare Parts from market and set transitions to FAST.
7. Restore/Install all apps, then reboot again> this should cache some of your apps, and speed up the system.
8. Test, Test, Test!

I haven't tried Benham's build without the changes, so I couldn't tell you.
The first blindingly obvious difference is that all apps show in the market.
Other than that, it should be slightly quicker right from the go... but give it 2-3 days, and I'll HUGELY improve the speed.
Updates should all be no-wipe, too

Hi all,
as I switched to XXJW4 firmware as well now, I started creating the well-known Boeffla-Mod theme also for this fw.
You can choose between the known "greenish" stock theme and a blue themed mod (my personal favourite).
Version history:

Battery icon with percentage numbers (green or blue circle)
Animated charging battery icons
Connection icons turn to green/blue when fully connected
Statusbar icons changes for blue theme
Extended power menu
Quickpanel icons (ICS style)
Transparency effects in pull down
Change overscroll glow to white for stock theme (blue for blue theme)
CRT off animation
ICS window animations
Autodetection of odex/deodex version to apply
All apks Zipaligned
Just flash (in CWM Recovery) one of the attached versions, you do not have to care about odex or deodex - this will be handled by the installer automatically:

Screenshots can be found in the thread for the XWJW1 version of Boeffla-Mod.
If you want to undo, just flash the rollback file in CWM and you are back to XXJW4 stock.
As always: Flash on our own risk! Make sure you have some space on /system left before you flash. I can and will not take any responsibility for bricked phones.
And on a very special request, I want you to know I used partially apktool (1.4.3) to do my mod. Also I used smali/baksmali 1.3.2. These tools have bugs as any other software of course, so it might come to unexpected side effects.
On top of that:
I understand, many people would like to have slight deviations of this mod, different battery icons, different overscroll glow colours etc. However, I honestly do not have enough time to fulfill all your special requests.
I build this mod only for my personal use basically, so it is like it is.

If you want to still have different Battery Icons etc, I recommend you to use the UOT kitchen (http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen) with which you can do a lot of additional tweaking yourself.
Just extract the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk files out of the Boeffla-Mod zip and load it into kitchen. As soon as the new files are built by kitchen, flash the zip file after Boeffla-Mod and you are there.

thanks for the encouraging news. Especially as the jw4 firmware seems to be a bit more sensitive in general (especially the kernel where Stratosk had hard fights last night, but successful).
I will take a break for rest of today (ok, I have to admit I need to watch the champions league game FC Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid + keep an eye on my local hockey team), but will continue working on the first 4 points in the todo list by tomorrow.

Ok, everything seems to work quite nicely! (sorry to make my feedback so late, I've been very busy today ^^)
I noticed something not correct yet: on the "stock" (green) version, on the lockscreen, the notification saying the battery should be charged is blue and with the old battery style...

just to let you know, I will take a quick break on developing this JW4 version further.
Reason is quite easy: There is a leak of a new, apparently unbranded XWJW5 version available at Samfirmware.
Some users already installed it and reported some good news (translation issues on lock screen fixed, more fluid tw4 browser). I would like to install it myself and have a look whether it is feeling better and really has the translation issues fixed.
If so, I would rather tend to continue on XWJW5 instead.
Will keep you posted...

However, if the JW5 was really better, i will flash it too, also because the semaphore kernel 2.7.4 is already working on JW5.

It seems quite similar, but obviously not exactly. Someone reported he tried to flash Boeffla-Mod XW4 version on XW5 and ended up in boot loop. So there are some differences.

Well, I downloaded I9000XWJW5_I9000OXXJVC_ORS and repackaged it, so it is now a 3-part FW again that can be cleanly flashed via Odin.

I think Woefulderelict created this and has a forum dedicated just for this......It became official because of him,so it is actually not that good to post someone else's work without even knowing who made it
Most of the work to get this working was on the part of TeamWin. Dees_Troy was the one busting his hump to fix the bugs. TeamWin is also responsible for the images they distribute.
If people would like to contribute to TWRP I strongly suggest you look into creating beautiful, original themes for the 320x480 devices. All you really need is a zip utility and some XML knowledge to deal with the backend. Translations are another option. I've been thinking about putting together a base package with all the language blocked out for easy translation but, people don't seem to have much interest in it.

At the moment I am trying to port Adi Aisiteru Reborn Transparent Statusbar Guide/HowTO also to your device i9100G. I already did a couple of these mods for many devices and roms, and with this one I seems that I have difficulties to realize . Would anyone of you help me out and test the 100% transparent statusbar for i90100G and CM10.1 Nightly 0725? That would be really nice and if I/we can get it to work and you are interested in, I will update the thread title and provide you a proper mod thread with80% and 100% transparent statusbar and perhaps with else .

No, this one not sorry....it has to be done of each rom and device individual...if it works on i9100g, we could think about doing a version for i9100 too...to stay tuned and hope of good testing results (with me) !
one user just confirmed that it is working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43984030&postcount=381...so it shouldn't be a big risk to try it . And the universal flasher creates a backup, which you can reinstall if it doesn't work or If you do not like it.
