Anyone know how to keep the volume from changing? Everytime I plug in something to 3.5mm the volume is always set to half. I would like the volume to be at max everytime I plug something in

Does anyone know of an app that mocks headphones being plugged in so you can toggle louder vulume settings using voodoo sound? I know there's volume boost apps but they all don't work, voodoo is the only one that I know of that does.. It'd be awesome to have one, although it'd probably mess your speaker up using really loud volume.. any ideas? Thanks

Even if there was one voodoo wouldn't make it louder because voodoo changes the amp setting in the phone and the amp settings don't affect the speaker no mater what!

Talking on the phone practically makes my ears bleed it is so LOUD. Does anyone know of an app that allows you to lower the volume beyond what the normal settings allow for? Is there any other way to accomplish this task? Voodoo sound doesnt seem to make any difference on call volume, even when I am using headphones on the call. Thanks!

I think that controls the mic gain, not the earpiece.

I have always been able to adjust the call volume via the side volume controls, when in a call
Ie: when on a call, turn the volume down the same way you would the ringer using the side buttons, and instead of seeing the media volume change, you should see incall volume adjusted

Yeah I do that but even at the lowest setting it is obnoxiously loud.

maybe your ears are just overly sensitive or something is messed up on your phone, rom, kernel, something... wipe and fresh flash see if your problem persists. I can turn the volume down below my level of hearing, but I also have slightly damaged ears from too much gun-play without hearing protection.
I would love to know why its loud.....cause i want to make mine louder....i think im going deaf

Switching to CM7 seems to have fixed the issue somewhat though the volume controls in call are a bit eratic now. I am pretty sure it was rom related as it happened to me on 2 of marcusant's roms. Maybe he likes loud calls lol.

Try the volume+ app in the market. He has free and paid versions but you can get the paid verszion for free on his website.

I believe the fix that worked for me was to disable hifi record in the voodoo control settings. Hope this helps!
Record settings in voodoo seem only to control mic gain (or mic loss, when I enable them no one can hear me! ). My earpiece is also obnoxiously loud in calls- on every GB rom I have tried. I would definitely like a fix for this.
No amount of wiping and flashing between multiple GB roms has ever fixed this.

disabling the Voodoo hi-fi play and record settings definitely fixed the loud call audio problem for me in gingerbread on the epic, sorry it's not working for you.
I have the latest version of CM 10. The problem is, every time I hit the play button on my headset, my ring we goes up. Most of the time, I keep it on vibrate and this becomes a problem. Even if I put it on vibrate while I have the headphones plugged in, it still raises the volume. Is there any fix for this?

Fairly sure this is an option which is incorrectly set.
Check all the options in your music player and then all the options on CM10.
I believe PowerAmp has a whole section of options for how Headsets should behave for example.
I just had to disable beep on headset in PowerAmp and now it works good. I would never have expected it to be that!
Is there any way to change vibration intensity for notification?

So today the volume stopped workin on the e4gt i gave my son. When i turn it up it says warning listining to loud music could be harmful as if the headphones were in. The phone still rings so i know the speakers not broke. Dose anyone know what this could be?

same thing happened to me, use a q tip to clean out the inside of the headphone jack, if that doesnt work wait a few days and it should go back to normal, thats what it did for me
You tried a battery pull yeah?

Wrong section to post this in. Should be in the Q&A.
I would try battery pull first.
Qtip wotked

Hello, can someone confirm this...? Make sure volumes are all the way up, and simply hold down power button till you get the menu to pop... Do you receive the sound you get when you receive notifications? It's weird because I never ever noticed it before and I'm new to nexus... I just want to know if it's glitching or if it's supposed to do that.

The pop with your volume up, defending on your notification audio, may just be your Nexus 7 trying to play audio thats slightly frequencies than your speaker is intended to play. It also could be a few other things with the speakers (Volumes too loud with that notification, maybe?), it isn't just the power button and you shouldn't have to worry.
No... It's because I enabled the accessibility shortcut. Thanks anyway haha
