I am currently a sprint zero user with touch pro2. Just got a htc Dinc from eBay and feel it is much better than tp2. I am seriously thinking about dumping zero and switch to using pageplus prepaid. But before I do this I d like to ask around what plan you guys use? Thanks.

I'm using PPC UTnT. I talk a lot.
I've been using Pageplus prepaid since I got my Dinc 17 months ago. Very happy with them - Verizon network service at a much better price than Verizon.
DInc with CyanogenMod 7.0
PPC TnT1200 for now but thinking about flashing to straight talk. I need more data.

Page+ as well. I usually do the TnT1200 but some months I text a ton so I have to upswitch to the Unlimited.
1200 shared with wife, unlimited data and text as im on an alltel plan still. Get great service everywhere, even in the country.

Holy cow, still on Alltel plan?! VZW made me switch over less than 6 mos after they took over. I told them to take a hike once I saw they weren't changing prices.
We have the unlimited everything plan talk, text, data, but we pay mucho.
Probably won't but any more phones from Verizon for fear of losing our grandfather status. Read somewhere that we will get one round of device upgrades before we are forced onto a tiered plan. Can anyone confirm this?
Yo, I sent this!
Page Plus here as well. You just can't beat the price on the Verizon network

I was just checking out their plans. They're good unless you want to use data, then they're pretty bad. With the amount of data I use, I couldn't use a plan from them.
Is there a way to get data on the LG Nitro using a gophone plan I kno they have the $65 plan now and it comes with 1gb of data but before I spend my money I wanna see if its a way I can get data enabled and working well I gotta the icon to come in by changing my apn but the guy who activated my sim says this phone can only get talk and text. Anyone here using a GoPhone plan if so are you getting data? Any help greatly appreciated
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
The guy who activated your sim is retarded. If you get the $65/month smartphone unlimited w/1gb data plan your data will certainly work on the Nitro HD since it's an AT&T phone. I personally think that's a monumental waste of money each month, but whatever, it's your decision.
Why do you say that its a waste of money is there a better plan out there

StraightTalk SIM for $45/mo with a guaranteed 2GB of Data and Unlimited Talk/Text.
It's what I'm running and I love it.
Yea but since I bought the phone off craigslist I can't get the unlock code from at&t doesn't the phone have to be unlocked to use straight talk

AT&T won't give you the unlock code, but you can still acquire the unlock code for your device for under $10 from sites like this one: http://www.cellunlocker.net/lg-unlock.php
Will it still get 4g
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
StraightTalk works on AT&T so no unlock. Mine isn't unlocked and works just fine. Also, 4G is there.
So it doesn't have to be unlocked to use a straight talk sim? That's great
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
You won't get LTE on Straight Talk, but HSPA+ is still better than nothing. To me LTE is essentially worthless when you only have 1GB.
Lte will blow thru 1gb in one day I'm just trying to make the right decision the ppl at straight talk said I had to unlock the phone 1st then here I hear something different. The guy I bought this phone from got the unlock code from at&t but it doesn't work so I'm kinda sceptical about trying one of those unlock sites but $45 sounds better than $65
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
If it's an AT&T Nitro? Then you're fine, just make sure you buy the right sim for AT&T. The person you spoke to didn't give you the correct information. I took a locked AT&T Nitro I bought from Craigslist, stuck the ST Sim in and it works perfect.
I'm going to try that

Unlock codes for LG's are 99 cents on eBay with misterunlock
I'm sure there are others, but I used that service with both of mine.
Do they sell straight talk sims at wal mart or something

Couple of questions?
I was approved for up to 10 lines with no deposits and wanted to add 3 lines. Ok so me and my brother, mom, and stepdad have been on a cricket family plan forever... but now that im on TMO, I wanted to bring them all over to TMO... simple right just pick up 3 N4's... here is my dilemma...
My brother who will be on the plan isnt a problem (he will get a N4), however my Mom and stepdad don't need an N4 while my sister and her husband (who are on TMO with an adequate pair of mytouch 4G's) would love the N4..
QUESTIONS
1. Can I add 3 lines (thru the online $50 N4 w/ 2yr contract) and then when the phones arrive simply give 2 of the N4's to my sister and her husband in exchange for their MyTouch 4Gs, and ultimately just have them insert their sims into the N4s for it to work or maybe after upgrading to lte sims? While having my mom and stepdad insert their (im presuming lte sims) into the MyTouch 4Gs without any problems...
Sorry if this is completely newbish or doesnt make any sense... just trying to do something nice without having to spend 100 extra bucks (+ two unnecessary 2yr contracts) but will if I have to haha)

I think, as long as all the phones are on TMO, you can swap SIM cards without any problem.
That was your question, right?
diffence between two is.
Mytouch 4G Regular Sim.
N4 micro Sim.
you might need to get a new sim card or adapter .
1. If my mom and stepdad have their N4 LTE sim cards in my sister and her husbands MyTouch 4Gs and vice versa, my sister amd her husband stick their non-LTE MyTouch 4G sims into the N4's... all 4 phones will completely work?
2. Since my sister and her husband obviously have their own plan('s), will this affect anything or will they go on paying their bill, as will I, normally without a hitch?

So is it possible to ask TMO to link your number up to a sim that doesnt "work with" the phone you are signed up to pay them for 2 years lol
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
You can buy a T-Mo phone and sell it for all they care, just get the phone paid for (as in monthly payments if applicable) and don't report it as lost, if you have an insurance replacement. As for the difference in SIM cards, anyone can go into a T-Mo store anywhere and get a new SIM as long as they have an account in good standing. No charge for SIM and you can put it in, activate it online yourself. Easy.
I've done all these without hassle.
So if my sister and her husband are still making payments on their MyTouch 4Gs then it wont work?

U need to buy 2 new regular tmo sims. When u go to activate ur sim online, u have to enter the sim id code and with a phone number, it can be any number. When tmo sends u lte sims, just add ur bro in law and sis to those sim cards. Parents, ud have to regular sim cards

There are no issues here... Doesn't matter if phones are paid off or not, as long as they're not reported as lost or stolen. As someone stated above, all you need is the proper SIM cards or adapters for the smaller SIMs to work in the MT4g

So far it seems N4 is microSIM while MyTouch 4G is regular SIM... how would I solve this issue

Sweet, so here is my plan of attack
Tomorrow:
Buy 3 N4s each with 2 year contracts and 2 sim adapters
Then:
Wait for everthing to come in
Then:
Call by brother up and tell him to come pick up his phone (cancel his cricket line) and transfer his number to the N4
Then:
Call my sister, her husband, mom and stepdad and tell them to come over with their phones. Give the 2 MyTouch4Gs, 2 N4 SIMs and 2 Adapters to my mom and stepdad and close out their two Cricket lines and transfer their 2 numbers to the N4sims (MyTouch4G's).
Then give the 2 N4s to my sister and her husband (would they need adapters too... how do you fit a Mytouch4G regular SIM into a MicroSIM slot on the N4?)
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
im asuming my sister and her husband will have to activate their lines onto microsims and then since they will use the N4, just not use the adapter

You need to do the Tardis mod to you Nexus 4. You do have to be rooted for it.
Actually you can cut your sim, buy a punch or call a few shops and see if they have a sim punch.

Easiest way would be to get the 2 adapters for your parents sim to work on the mytouch 4g. As for your sister and her husband they should just ask for new micro sim cars which cost $10 each and they can keep the same number with one call. That's what I would do at least.

So just a bit of an update..
Tomorrow three N4s will be on the way...
1 for my older brother (who will surely let me mod to my hearts desire )
Two others, 1 for his twin sister and the other for her husband (who so happens to be the guy who got me into rooting/modding android... knows his s***)
A few things left standing are whether I can have multiple tmobile accounts/plans? As I currently have an individual "value" plan but "internet N4 deal" requires "classic" plan. Furthermore, will Tmobile allow me to switch out of my value plan, just 2 months into it, without early term penalty?
So far I figure the puchase to be $300 plus tax (~$360) upfront. If im unable to merge my account into a classic plan than those 3 separate lines will be $218/mo. If I can merge than im assuming I would just add 30-35 to the $218 monthly...
Considering I was payin $223 just a few months ago for 1 huawei ascend and 3 ZTE X500s through cricket, im pretty happy with the overall trade off...
To think, $1000 total (only $650 if you include mail-in rebates) for 1 GNII and 3 N4s ! LOL ! while going from slow 3G to fast 4G (better service) and increased the monthly by barely $30/mo lol
How long is shipping, or if there is any back orders, as my mom stepdad and brother maybe without phones for sometime
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
2/18/13... so heres the scoop.
No, T MOBILE didnt let me switch my GNII individual "Value" plan to (required for online sale) "Classic" plan without paying additional termination fees etc.
I also wasnt able to add a separate account under the same name. Nor would the deal work on a "Value" family plan as the down payment increased to 200 per line and 20/mo for 20 months would be added per line to the monthly
But was still able to capitalize on the online deal by just having my stepdad put the required "Classic" plan under his name. As a simple breakdown
1 "Classic" family plan for 3 lines
3 Nexus 4's for 339 down after tax and 2 day shipping
Monthly unlimited Talk Text and Data for 218/month
Throw in my phone line and its 293 total a month for all 4 lines...
Im stoked, especially knowing that ill be getting 350 bucks back in rebates over the next few weeks

So. I'm 99% sure I'm making the Jump from Verizon to T-Mobile. I currently have the note 3 on Verizon. My basic questions are any complaints about service? How's the LTE? And how's the GPS lock on the note 3 on T-Mobile. I have read some have problems.
Man. Can't wait to have an unlocked boot loader haha.....

Depends on your location. I've had verizon, sprint, and now tmo. Honestly if you told me to switch to tmo 5 years ago I'd laugh at you. I'll laugh at you now for not considering it.
No Contracts, jumping is superior to edge, less expensive, almost same speeds as Verizon [I get 35 most of the time] (but who really needs 50mb Down?). And unlocked bootloader

Make the jump NAO!!
They pay your ETF, there service is only getting better and stronger since they bought spectrum from Verizon, tons of roms with very easy root methods(one doesn't even trigger knox if you don't care about flashing roms and kernels) but yes tons and tons of custom rom and kernel options over here on T-Mobile.
You guys do have Beanstown(love his jellybeans rom to death) scrosler(cleanrom) hashcode(insanely smart dev that helped create safestrap(or he did it all by himself apologies if I'm wrong) that I'm sure you'll miss but there's still ways to flash your carriers rom as well as the international n9005 roms with the wifi nfc blue tooth. Zip fix.
I really did my research when considering which carrier I got my note 3 from, hated sprints network on the note2,verizon was too expensive and locked down bootloader unless you bought the dev edition which cost more too, then att was no better with its subpar service and locked down bootloader. To hell with all them!!!,
T-Mobile has always been my favorite cell phone provider and their service has always been great(love their free wifi calling) there always doing their best to throw out great deals to get you to join. I still prefer and always will just buy my phone exchange outright and pay anywhere from 30 dollars a month for unlimited data, text and 100 minutes anytime talk, or if I'm needing it just pay the measly extra 20 for unlimited talk text data and 4g Lte.

Just made the switch from at&t a week ago and could not be happier. Yes the coverage area is not as good but I'm sure it will get better. I work for the railroad and take trips all over Texas and the service is spotty, however for the price and customer service I have received you can't beat it, contract fees were paid easily and the switch was flawless. Loving this note!
Already have 2 contracts on EE,then mine and the wife's lines both on t mobile still are Due upgrades and in also looking for a new SIM only line for youngest daughter. Contacted EE about my upgrade to a M9,the price up front and contract price are ridiculous, and very low data allowance. Anyone especially had any good deals,I want to stay with EE if I can and with 5 contracts in total you would think they would to keep my business, but they are not playing ball

I got a free handset with 5GB 4G data allowance and unlimited texts/calls for £31/month out of them a couple of months ago which was less than I was already paying for a smaller allowance so I'm happy enough.
I believe it all depends if they're on a push to retain customers or not when you try to upgrade. Get some prices from other networks and ask them to match. If they won't, then ask to leave. You might be put through to the retentions department, who can offer better deals than the regular upgrade team.

You don't have to actually use your PAC code. Someone from retentions might call you in the next couple of days. If not, call and say you changed your mind about leaving or just go to a different network if you can get a better deal.

They probably will call you. Honestly, I get fed up with having to dance around with them and threatening to leave every upgrade, just to get a decent deal when I've been a customer since even before they were T-Mobile. You would think loyalty would be rewarded, but they always give better deals to new customers.
Good luck.

O2, unlimited calls and texts, 3gb data a month. £36, £0 up front. That was the lowest tariff in the uk at the time of my upgrade. Upgraded through carphone warehouse by phone. Really easy. Good coverage. Lots of bonuses via o2 more etc.. Honestly can't fault the service, but the phone.. Different story.

Go to carphone mate, they'll have all the deals and the phones will be unlocked, if the deals aren't good enough and you really want to stick with EE then it'll be a case of going back to EE and bluffing.
EE is a bit pricey but I really don't mind as when it comes to customer service they've always been good with me, Orange were the best in the past, apparently o2 have good CS skills.
If that's not an issue, just get a virgin sim, 15 quid a month, think it's unlimited everything, not 4G though. They also use the same network as EE.
