Hey, My first unboxing/review so tell me if I have missed something, The batteries are here For 2 of them, along with a wall charger with a USB port on, for £16 (Used to be £12) And on it's own for £8 here, There will be hopefully alot of pictures and info through out, and currently I don't know how well they perform as I have only had 'em a couple hours, or if that they are actually 1900Mah, I'll take of the whit bit later and find out, however, 2 batteries for £16 with a wall charger and a year warranty, I'm not going to complain
All the pics were taken with my SGSII and I have re-sized them, Hopefully they are not to small but I didn't want them to be huge, Also sory for any blur, I don't have the steadiest hand in the world
First the box, Starting right from the beginning here if anyone cares, Very simplistic, cardboard and says Made in China on the top, nothing too special.

Inside the box, Packed neatly.
What's in the box, the 2 batteries, charger and UK adapter (You'll see why later)
The charging unit, Which has (I think, Never been, there) a USA Plug built in, which...
Flips out to look like this.
The UK plug on it, (It slides right on)
Anddd,, Where the battery goes.
The battery (Both sides) With all the info on, Looks and feels high quality.
With the battery in.
Some of the instruction booklet (If you can read it)
It whilst charging, The light is actually nicer in person and more pink (Also fit's the original battery.. Obviously )
It fully charged/not charging, Blue/Purple light (again looks brighter and nicer in person)
Some comparison photo's between the Stock and Anker battery.
And that's all, I'll post how well it performs asap, But to be fair im going to give it the 3 recharge cycles as stated in the manual, Then compare it to the original.
Thanks for reading
great looking forward to the test results
wondering though how come some anker can put 1900mah in a battery the same sized as samsung and samsung cant do such thing as a default? hmm

Just turned everything on and clocked it up now to drain the battery , Should be done by tomorrow ,
I guess it's to save money on Samsung's half, But I'm not too sure either.
Intresting!
Subscribe this post, couse i'm really curious. Maybe i'll buy one for me
Had the same battery on my sensation, worked like a charm and gave me an extra 20-30% more juice. Don't know how it will preform on the SGS II though..

I'm curious too. My cheap Chinese battery's say their 1800mAh and is more like 1300-1400mAh which was no surprise at the time because its easy to print whatever on the sticker without proper testing. See here for proper testing http://translate.googleusercontent....h.html&usg=ALkJrhje4iAnKMYySrm1MUK2mZPX9GLr8Q and a few more batteries http://translate.google.com/transla...e/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-2-3500-mah-2430mah.html
The charger is identical to the one I got with my ebay batteries. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270758612241&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123
If you can't tell I'm a little sceptical about the 1900mAh claim but you never know. So I have also clicked subscribe
As soon as you tell me how it works, I'm buying it in the states. This one looks very promising. Is it the same size as the original? Thanks.
same size as the original, however as far as I can tell its ever so slightly thicker and heavier but not noticeable, also it seems promosing : D I've been trying to drain and I'm still at 16 percent, where as my stock would have easily died by now

It should improve after a few drain/charge cycles. Do you think this is the best battery without increasing the size of your phone?

Send one of these babies to eug, he is able to accurately measure the capacity.
Everything else is just pure speculation and I'm pretty sure these batteries will also turn out to be 1300-1400mAh.

maybe, even though however they are cheap, and seem to last pretty well, and I wonder if the warranty would cover it

You think I should cancel my order that I just placed?
i have had this for 2 weeks. Pretty good. Does the job. no overheating issues.
After the first 5 charge cycles the batteries take about 6 hours to charge in the dock, which is fine because trickle charging is good. And having 2 spare batteries, you can leave one on charge and have 1 spare with you.
Battery life increase....nothing spectacular , someone that knows how to test it should comment. I am interested to know the findings
Sorry but that battery didnt work. Already tested and the stock battery is more better. Just let the battery drain to 5% and you will see.
If these are in fact the same as the 1800mAh (1300-1400mAh) then they are actually expensive compared to them The charger is definitely inflated in price for just a different sticker.
so is this brand a good brand??
Damn well thanks for the info guys, 1400mah it is then,
I haven't done any lab tests but its feels the same as stock battery to me on day to day usage.
I bought from the brand because they have excellent reviews on htc sensation, people report 20% extra battery. check amazon reviews

Sorry if this already has been posted, I did not see it posted anywhere on here.
I just went to return my car dock at Sprint and they said they had just received shipments of Sprints' own extended battery + covers for sale. It was $54 after taxes. Comes with 2 covers, one white which is painted so it's smooth, the other a black that has the rubbery finish on the back.
Not bad for the price, I mean sure it can't beat the Ebay ones (which I ordered the 2 3000)
I am going to guess this is basically a Seidio rebrand?

Did you see any cases for it?
No I did not. I asked but they said they do not know of any coming out yet. I can't find this battery announced anywhere so it must be a brand new item from Sprint, guess I got lucky.
Sent from my EVO using XDA App
jesus it makes the evo look like a damn hunchback. i wish these companies would make these slimline only.
With phones outpacing battery technology by a very large margin, this is the only way so far. I mean there is the option of carrying a second battery, but that seems a little unnecessary. I'll trade aesthetics for convenience and utility.
Can these be purchased online?
mr2man07 .. how are the 3000mah batteries working for you, have you tested them? I've read eBay batteries are lower than actually rated as they arent regulated, even the Seidio's are falsely rated.
Thanks for the heads up, gonna pick one up tomorrow...

I do not even think they are announced from Sprint yet. I managed to get lucky and the guy told me they had them in stock if I was interested. Told me it was $49.99 and I jumped on it.
I have yet to receive them. They are still about a week out, maybe less. This one has only dropped about 15% over 5 hours of moderate-heavy usage. This is on the Fresh rom with battery-config script.
They are online

Do you know if they add the same height as the seidio 3500? I have the innocase extended on mine with the innocase extended holster ordered. I wonder if it would work with this battery. Also let us know how the battery does. I wonder how many actual mah it is.
I have no idea how it compares to a Seidio. I have not had the opportunity to do a comparison.

Keep us posted on the performance. I think it will probably been on par with the 3500 batteries.

30 minutes of Angry Birds, 30 minutes of Reckless Racing, 30 minutes of browsing and 3 youtube videos, the rest being standby with WiFi at 7 1/2 hours total time uncharged, it barely dropped 20%. Whereas my oem battery would be around 40-50%. This being on only the batteries first full chrage.
I love it, it is no longer mandatory to put the phone on the charger just to navigate to clients for work, or to be able to use tethering.
I am a Network Technician, and I use my phone a LOT during work days, and this battery will help me greatly.
Obviously, this is not for everybody. I see my phone as a utility, a tool for my job and a personal gadget/toy on off-hours, not some fashion device, so its "beauty" is not as important as its functionality.
Jesus H Christ, that backplate and battery looks bigger and crappier than my Chinese-made 3500mAh, which I got two of at just over 1/3 the price.
im new to the forums but been following and taking UR guys advice for a while....anyways I just picked one of these up today to. Last one at that. I was gonna get the 3500 mah battery from hk right before I bought this one but went with this since oem. I would like to see how long it last.
Update: its now close to 6 hours of being in my phone under heavy usage and it hit 15% and that was out of package with no charging.

Rule of thumb on these is most batteries are shipped with a 50-60% charge from the manufacturer . It also has yet to be seen if this battery is truely a 2600mah . As its well known from Batteryboss even the Seidio doesnt hold a true 3500mah charge . From batteryboss the Seidio is only holding 80% of its advertised capacity . If the battery from Sprint holds true to that ratio it still will hold a charge of 2080mah (This is just theory and estimated) . You should see an improvement over battery performance from stock . Give the battery a few charge / discharge cycles .
Just grabbed one last night and not really sure if Im gonna keep it. The main issue I have is my phone is completely naked now. Ive got no holster or protective case and Im paranoid about dropping it. Gonna try and see if theres some type of case at best buy tonight that will fit this battery even if I have to modify it.
As far as life goes, Just took it off the charger so gonna try and use it heavier than normal today and see what I get
I bought the same kind of thing for my X10 and loved always having a spare battery on hand. So I got a package for the Arc as well.
I gave the batteries the full charge/discharge cycle and they perform just as good as the original battery Also comes with a USB port and an extra Micro USB cord.

That is quite cheap. How are you finding the batteries though? Usually cheaper ones usually only have around 80% of their specified rating.
On an unrelated note, last night I actually found out what the word "douche" means. Quite funny

If that.
There's also the potential problem of them not being manufactured with the same quality control etc, so being more at risk of swelling, bursting, over-heating and generally destroying your phone in some sort of horrible burn-y acid-y way...

Ye, I wouldnt be able to put in a battery like that in my beloved Arc.
I just hate turning off the phone to change the battery.. Imagine the phone can run without a battery for some seconds
larger batteries are better, but you can't find original larger batteries so you have to depend on 3rd party makers...
I'm thinking about Mugen Power batteries now thought they don't have Arc compatible batteries yet... the nice thing about these is they provide larger capacity ( and also bigger size ) but they also make the back cover that can hold the new bigger batteries and they make a lot of them for variety of phones... just take a look at their site !
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/
I've looked at Mugen before.
If they release a larger battery for the Arc with a cover that basically fills in the concavity (ie makes the back flat), I will have to give serious consideration to it - if it's a reasonable bump in capacity that is.
If the replacement back were to bulge though, I would rather have shorter battery life and a slinkier phone though...

Well, there are crappy ones and good ones. I have used them (aftermarket) in my X10 without any problems whatsoever, so if you don't trust them then don't buy them. Don't whine and complain about something if you have not used it yourself.
I know what happens if you plug your device by USB all the time, it will break! When it happens to you, you will start a thread to complain about it and I will be here laughing
with all my devices ive purchased a cheap hongchong battery charger with spare chinese battery's. Originally the batteries are as good but after time they dwindle, thats fine though they cost bugger all.
Ive never had issues with swelling, overheating etc but I do not have a habit of overcharging things.
Ive used these style batteries in my diamond,hd2,g1,magic,n1,desire and soon the play.

Yep, 10 bucks is not very much. You can buy batteries alone for even less
If I want a second battery I'll go for original batteries... but I hate changing the battery ( infact I hate turning off the phone then turning it on again, and what I hate more is adding another battery to what I'm already carrying !! )
that's why I prefer larger batteries, sadly SE and most other manufacturers don't offer these, specially SE for the Arc as I know SE response will be ( larger battery will be larger physically and this will require modifying the back cover to be larger and this will destroy the design of Arc !! ).. I'm okay if that battery will just make the back cover flat, I can live with that... but I can't live with carrying another battery and the hassle of changing the battery...
Each to they're own I guess the one minute to change battery and reboot far outweighs having to place the phone on a charger.. I don't carry a spare its just if I'm at work its 4 pm and my battery is low I don't care because one minute after I'm home its 100% again...

By the way the watermark doesn't stop people from using your picture. If I have to I can remove it within three minutes and no one will notice it was there, but most people don't know how to do so or prefer searching for another picture to use for their own benefit... Best and only way to keep your pictures to yourself is not putting them on internet

Yeah, but such a large watermark takes time to remove. Removing it and reposting my image gives me all the proof I need of malicious intent. That would allow me to sue the violators ass off. I have caught people before and claimed damages from them, copyright law is on my side because I have that watermark on there in the first place
Hello, i have a question. Here is the 1800mAh battery, is this fake or?
http://cgi.ebay.com/1800mAh-BATTERY..._Accessories&hash=item2a10235567#ht_981wt_802
Thanks for the answer
For $10 that's a really good deal, even if they only last a couple of months
Hello there, Captivate people! Visitor from the Vibrant forums here. We found and tested an 1800mah battery that, while intended for the Epic Touch 4G, fits and works perfectly in the Galaxy S and all it's variants. I've personally tested it in a Samsung Fascinate and a Samsung Vibrant. The Fascinate was a tighter fit than the Vibrant, but the battery door closed just fine.
I've personally tested the battery over the past week and it lasts significantly longer than the default 1500mah battery (I'm a relatively new Vibrant user, so my battery is only a couple months old). The math seems to match up with the 1800mah claim. To be clear, this isn't as surprising as it would be if this were a random Chinese ebay battery. This battery is made by Samsung for the Epic Touch 4G. It's noticeably thicker than the stock Galaxy S battery, but not so thick that the battery door on the Vibrant and Fascinate won't close completely.
The battery can be found here:
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=28506
I spent quite a bit of time trying to find the best 3rd party battery for my phone, and lo and behold, the best one comes from Samsung itself.
If you'd like to read more than just my humble opinion, here is a link to the thread started in the Vibrant forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1262035
Hope this information is helpful. Enjoy your Galaxy S!
has anyone tested to see if this fits in a captivate phone?
Great question. Anyone have any contacts at AT&T/Sprint/Verizon to see if we can do a test fit?
I love CM7 but it drains the battery fast. 1850 capacity would be great and a nice boost.

I think everyone bought these on Sunday. It will be Friday or Monday before you see a report.
Just received the battery from mobilecity. I was leaving my home as I saw the package, so no photos or long term report. Initial impressions though:
Most importantly, the phone works. I'm typing this on it. The battery came with a 45% charge, so normal.
The battery is a little thicker than the original, and a little heavier. The back cover is slightly tight fitting.
Will try charging in a little.

Thanks man, my captivate came with no battery, and now I know, from which seller I can buy a good replacement.
Thanks for the pictures. Let us know how this performs over the next few days.
Could we get images of the battery stats screen? Also, how tight is the battery door fit?

Just got mine! It fits!
Here is the battery in the phone, plus attempts to show how little the battery size affects the back cover:
Basically, it's barely noticeable and is ever so slight. It just makes the latch a little bit harder to close, that's all.
Charging to 100% right now, will report on stats after it drains overnight and tomorrow.

Has anyone gotten this battery yet? Does anyone know if they will make a case for it like seidio made cases for the evos. Thanks
Looks to me like that battery would give an sgs2 the belly bump of a lady at 7 months with two buns in the oven...
Since it's unlikely you'll ever find a case for it, why not buy an extra battery or buy a power skin case?

Shouldn't it come with a case?

I tried the powerskin and it was a pos, all around the sides wouldnt fit right and the charged notification would beep a lot
I agree with the fit/finish issues on the powerskin case. Wished they'd made it fit the phone as well as the Vibrant version did.
The beeping on charge happens when you connect it to a wall charger that can't provide enough amps for the powerskin case. I've had the best results with the Samsung charger which comes with the phone but it will also charge properly from a computer USB port. The charger that came with my motorola bluetooth stereo headset will cause beeping when connected...
Anyway, I imagine this battery + case wouldn't be that much larger than the SGS2 + Powerskin... So, if Seidio decides to make a case for it I might buy both. Not much action in the US on the NFC side of things right now so having NFC enabled batteries isn't that important to me.
just got it guys....will do a review in a couple of days, but after i put it, set brightness to 100% and it took me about 4-5 hours to get it down to 15% from 46% seems pretty legit!
I ordered the battery, I will do a little review on it when it gets here.

I had the same experience. I had one for my HD2 & it was very well made & the battery lasted all day, but the t989 version felt like a cheap knockoff or something. Sides didn't fit, the leds were different shades of blue, and it died after only a couple hours. I ended up returning it.
Battery is the main problem with all those phones.one good thing they can do is attack a dollar panel to all the phones or make hydrogen fuel celled phones that would be amazing.

Quoting him and his screenshot with said number doesn't help
hmm thats not that much better than stock for me, my battery comes tomorrow. I wonder if the s2 doesnt charge extended batterys all the way. Are the volts right around 4.2 when its done charging? and how many cycles are you on?
its way better than stock

i concur i usually last 13 hours, i'm a real heavy user...when i say heavy meaning...wifi tethering, checking stock every 5-10 minutes via browser, facebook 30 mins, weather every 1 hour, 2-3 gmail account sync, watching youtube every now and then. using Tune in radio usually drain a ton of battery for me too.
i had the camero sinio battery, it seems to last longer than stock battery if anyone want to go the cheaper route.
so far the battery is awesome, I have 86% left and its been on almost 5 hours. thats with light use though. Also After a few cycles it will get slightly better.
Edit: 12h 8 min 78%

How's the fitment of the extended back cover? Any uneven spaces and whatnot?
Are you using the phone naked without a case?
The back cover fits great, and I am not using a case. You have to make sure it clicks in all the way so there isnt any uneven space. Also the phone doesnt get that much thicker because the battery in the s2 is longer so it doesnt even look like its that much bigger. I wish seidio would make a case though.
Hello there.
Im new here but i saw that there are a lot of posts about those batteries but there is no main thread to explain\share\review information about this batteries.
so I thought we need this one.
What is ANKER? Anker is a brand of batteries Fantasia Trading LLC company known more as a U.S. laptopmate
They have a website? Yes, [link will be here later]
What is special about the battery? The ANKER batteries reach a volume of 1900MAH Unlike the original Samsung battery [1650MAH], as of this moment is the most powerful battery-sized or enlarged with same size as original.
There is also a battery of 1750, does not interest most of us when the 1900
Okay, and how long a battery that adds me? It adds about 20%, of course it depends on the use
Do I need a new cover? No, the battery is the same size as the original so that it fits your device without the new cover
Is safe to use? Nothing is certain in this life, but so far everyone who has this battery was pleased ...
I heard about the guy that blew a battery ... has a documented case of a guy on XDA generic charger used to charge the battery outside the device, if you use an external charger use only original ANKER
Must use external charger? No, the battery is loaded in the device excellent with the original samsung charger.
OK, so where I buy it? The battery is not available for sale in all countries directly, but you can check\buy it from the manufacturer's EBAY or AMAZON store
What are most recommended initial charging? Recommended to 3 ~ 4 full discharge cycles (0% -100%) before starting to use a normal battery
more Q&A to come
reserved/reserved
I got this battery 2 months now and is really decent (i paid 11euros all included). With medium usage and 100 apps on my phone it's enough for one day. 50 apps and low usage with wifi on all day i get 50% by the time i go to bed.
Is this one really better than the stock battery? and is it works?

Well it having an extra 250mah will give it about 20% extra juice. And yes it does work.
Have a good day.

The reason I asked is because other brands on ebay claims the same but from what I've seen the other says they actually worse than Sam's original one and just fake.
it seems Anker is the only one on ebay which is works good?
Thanks

No this one is actually better. Not 20% but about 15%. It keeps me running for on day with medium to heavy usage.
It is a good battery at a good price. However, I have noticed that sometimes when my battery drops to <15%, the phone will just turn off right away without discharging all the way to 0%. Other than that it's worth the money.
I have had nothing but trouble since I bought mine. Bought froma reputable Ebay dealer.
Random freeze ups, phone would just die.
Tried multiple ROMS/Multiple kernels. Always thought it HAD to be something I was running, but when I went back to factory , my phone was stable again.
It's quite a drawn out story, but long story short, Im curious if I got a dud or if they all have a similar flaw?!?
No problems here. As other users wrote... it's not actually a 20% improvement but it is an improvement. I think that my battery is about 10% better but that's based on my average usage and observations.
Sounds like yours is a dud. I got two (had them shipped back home, then family shipped them to me since ebay seller didn't ship to Korea) and they work very well in my Korean SII, lasts longer than my stock batteries now.
are there any over heating problems with this battery?
Just brought this battery from Amazon for £10.99 will post update when I have got it and used it for awhile. Seems like a good bargain for the extra juice and the fact that it is the same size as original battery seems great
i am using it and i am fu**ing love it indeed

hi there you say everyone is happy that bought the battery -- iam not
mine lasted for 2 minutes before blowing up , iam not the only user that has had this either
if you read the amazon reviews for the sensation anker battery and the sgs2 anker battery other people have had them blow up as well
you say to only charge them in an offical anker charger but 90% of the places that sell them sell them with a cheap chinese charger and you havent shown any pictures of the genuine charger or anything which is a bit useless -- for those wanting to know it is white and has black writting that says ''anker'' the cheap chinese chargers are black and crap
also laptop me or whoever they are didnt give a monkeys about the battery blowing up and when i emailed them they didnt respond -- great customer services that
iam sorry but for £16 you can buy a genuine samsung battery with a bigger mah rating that can als be charged in an offical samsung desktop charger why risk house fires etc with an exploding battery and dodgy chinese charger
i wouldnt recomend the anker battery to my worst enemy let alone a forum full of sgs2 users looking for a bigger battery
a quick google of ''anker exploding battery'' will bring you back quite a few hits of other users and exploding batterys one guy had one explode in his phone

thats my battery after 2 minutes in the charger and here is the thread that i posted in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19695771&postcount=5
also why another thread on anker batterys?? we already have a few in this section already running what makes this an offical one?? is the op laptopme pushing their batterys or something??
I got two of these batteries and one charged off the ebay.. I'm using it for more than 20 days and it is working quite good. would say the battery lasting at least %10 to %20 more than the stock battery and I'm loving it
Thanks
