Hi,
Now when we have option for face unlock on Galaxy Nexus Im get idea but don't know if this is possible.
For example I have enabled face unlock and lose my phone or someone stole it. First thing what usualy someone try is turn it on Camera will detect other person and phone will stay locked. Is there some application which in this case can send picture of people who would like unlock phone to some email? It will be great if this is already done or someone can do it...
So is there some app which can do this?
Nice idea!

doesn't mean that person stole the phone though lol and lets not forget privacy issues . 3rd party app maybe but definitely not google apps.
Look up "got ya" in the android market!I'm not sure if it is compatible with the face unlock feature though.. You should try it out and tell us if it works or not!

I don't think its a privacy issue if its my phone and I told it to save a pic of the person trying to unlock the phone unsuccessfully. Sure some of them would be myself in bad lighting but that's fine.

but i have got into another problem now where after disabling gotya and uninstalling it, i am not able to select the faceunlock feature and the screen looks like before.....how do i re enable these
Email the dew for any questions and ask him when face unlock will work...

i have no issues about when they will support faceunlock, i just want to re-enable the faceunlock feature as it is disabled in the screenshot
Check device administrators in security settings. Maybe reinstall the app, take away or grant it admin if it needs then uninstall when face unlock is available again?

if you go to settings, security, then choose clear credentials. give it a reboot then thats it. had this once with a customer from where i work.

Cerberus app is so easy to uninstall. Mybe the owner have to work out on a solution to glaxy nexus unistalling procedure cause now all can uninstall the app.
Is there really any way to secure our phones? It seems like if someone with knowledge of rooted phones could find it and just wipe it. Or is there a way to secure it from boot?

Cerberus can't be uninstalled unless u wipe phone in recovery ( this option would get rid of 100% of security apps ) or u no the unlock code to get to an app like titanium backup . Cerberus is a damn good app if not the best
a friend of mine has this for iphone. basically, when an incorrect pin is entered on the lock screen the app displays a custom message the user inputs and uses the front facing camera to take a picture of the person who is using the phone! really cool. any idea if anything like this exists for droid?

So....will the app automatically send the picture to your email or it requires you to select "auto upload to Google+"? I hope not the second option cuz I HATEEE the way Google+ not letting us deleting the uploaded pictures from our gallery.
I don't make a habit of complaining about permissions. But why do we basically have to give this app control of everything, Skynet style.

i know where is your question coming from - but i have to tell you that you would be surprised how many apps are accessing the same info as this one is. i dont wanna call names - but titanium back up - for example and much more. try LBE privacy guard and find out. almost all GAMELOFT games are asking for emei and even sms log or call log mate/location as well - so i think it will make no difference and if you wanna be able locate your device remotely or even make a pic you have to givea permision to the app providing such a service.
you have to live with it or not use the special "protection"

I loaded this and it works fine on my Galaxy Nexus. The only thing funny is that the pictures seem to be rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the way the phone was being held.
The version of cerberus I used with my GN has an option where the screen goes all white and then snaps a picture with the front camera as soon as the screen is touched.
I also setup Cerberus to email everything to an account that isn't setup on the phone so if the phone is gone, the person holding it can't delete the emails.

Good stuff! I was looking for something like this! Another app you guys may want to try is an app that locks down your apps with a password or pattern. I havent installed one on my Gnex yet but I used one on my EVO (actually, come to think of it, it was native to MIUI).
Hello everyone, I apologize for not having a fancy or pretty first post but I wanted to get this out.
Moles updated to 1.8 today and I have got a port for our CDMA devices working.
Things to note:
1. I have not thoroughly tested this yet as I just got it working. As always I would recommend a Nandroid backup before proceeding.
2. You must perform a full wipe before flashing this ROM unless coming from 1.7 - That includes data/cache/dalvik.
3. GApps are not included anymore and must be downloaded.
4. First boot takes forever so be patient.
5. Currently there are no Paranoid Settings in the System Settings menu. Instead open your app drawer and use the Paranoid Setting app to change UI.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's all I can think of that is imperative, please post with your findings as I'm interested in gathering information about what works and what doesn't.
Mediafire link to 1.8 here.

You can edit on the phone, some changes require reboot and others do not. If you make a change and nothing happens chances are you need a reset. Good question though, I'll update OP.

Pretty sure you can. I think you just have to change systemui to =2 in the padprop. there's a link in the gsm thread from moles about it. I haven't been able to try it yet, but I will soon.

Anyone else having issues with Gmail. I can open emails from one account but not another. The main one crashes. I cleared cach and dalvik and it's still happening. Removed the account and added it back in and still same thing. I can open emails from that account if I load it into the default email program.
I've tried to make some pad.prop changes and they're just not being recognized. Changed MMS.apk to 200, its still in 320. Rebooted as well. I'll try clearing caches and report back.
FWIW, no gmail issues here. I had a browser FC, but its all good now.

bill - I've seen the same with the pad.prop. It just won't save the changes. It's weird with the email. I can open the app and see the list of email but as soon as I attempt to open one it force closes. If I open the app and select the other account that email opens just fine.
No problems viewing individual emails here, but clearing caches didn't work either, also tried setting it to tab mode, didn't work. Any changes I make to pad.prop are being saved, but ignored by the rom

I'm saying that Google Wallet is not working on my AT&T Note II. I did this:
1. Reboot into TWRP and install the zip provided by Warlock in linked thread
2. Reboot system
3. Start up Google Wallet, force close during setup (the screen that says "setup may take up to 5 minutes"... etc)
EDIT: I didn't install from Google Play, I thought I did... but apparently the ZIP installs it for me? I go to Google Wallet in the Play store and there is no "Uninstall" option which means it must be installed in system...

Anyone with this done successfully wanna make a flashable zip? This would help all att users and that user also so they wouldnt have to do the mod over and over, just flash the zip.

Firstly, this belongs in the Q&A section. Secondly, try to uninstall the app then reinstall through the play store.

I had the same problem . I yesterday externally installed Swype kepboard and this problem seems to have arised since then. Not sure however if i can directly blame this on the Swype. Anyways, one sure thing is that this download is unlikely to be a genuine facebook update & its more likely to be a spyware of some kind.
This is what i did & it seems to have stopped popping up since then. Hold the Download till u get an "App Info" option. Then click disable instead of Force stop. It has'nt restarted for me since then .

The scary thing here is it really is a genuine facebook update; see the links I have included below. They are going around the Play store for this and future updates. Which is scary enough on its own because a smart hacker could mimic this in the near future to inject malware. Also, in my case the update failed and now I can't use the version from the play store or this one.
I have complained to Google play about this because they are violation the developer terms; I also provided "feedback" to Facebook! I would recommend others complain to both also to let them know how their customers feel.
