Headphones for my new phone. - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I recently swithed from the Nexus S 4G to ge new Galaxy Phone. It's a great phone, only downfall for me is that I can't use the Headset Button Controller app. Whenever I press the center button it doesn't respond. If I hold he button down to adjust the volume, it just turns on the the Voice Activation stuff. I'm using the Sony headphones from my iPod Touch. They worked great on my Nexus S 4G and I had no problems with the Headset Buttkn Controller app.
Any help would be great.

[Q] How do I used a wired headset to access Voice Dialer or Vlingo?

Hi guys, I've searched everywhere I know and found apps like JAYS headset control which has given me volume control and the like on this one button headset but coming from the iphone world back to android I find it extremely frustrating that I can't configure a long press on the wired headset to open up voice dialer or even better Vlingo. I'm on 4.02 stock. I live in China and ride a scooter most places and constantly have the headset on. Bluetooth is not an option here because of the noise. So, is there an app I am not seeing that gives me full headset control and configuration?
Thanks!
OK, have progress, after posting this question I found an app that works! It's called Headset Button Controller, there is a trial version and it successfully starts Vlingo and tells you the time in any number of configurable button presses. Now there is nothing I did on my iPhone 4 that I'm not doing better on my GN...

Is it possible to program or access more Bluetooth commands?

When I had a crackberry and had it paired with my Bluetooth on my car I could hit a button on the module in my car and it would launch voice dialing on the berry. With an android phone it doesn't. I am wondering if there was a way or an app that could monitor for the button or give me the same Bluetooth config of the berry so I could gain that back.
I love hands free dialing and I've tried apps like vlingo but they seem too unusuable still.
Any suggestions here would be great!

You should check out tasker, it can pick up blue tooth commands and perform what you want.

Unfortunately that didn't work for me very well.
It seems like the button in question doesn't register on android at all.
Not sure if that's the 'fault' of the car's audio system or a weakness int he btooth apk.
Oh well.
Probably should just get a headset.

I have Sony MW600 connected to my phone, and when I push the hang up button on that one, voice calling starts up.

[Q] 3 button headphone support

I flashed awesome beats on my phone and then bought the in ear bud beats by Dre and the volume rocker doesn't work obviously because its not supported on my device. Anyone have any solutions or software to get the 3 click buttons to work on the gnex? I'm rooted and running jro03o on my phone fyi
3button headphones
I'm hoping someone can give me guidance on this if its possible to have support for the volume rocker on my headphones or not. Please help. I don't like the apps in the market that let u use the play pause button to skip forward and backward either using 2 or 3 clicks. Oh and running liquid jellybean maybe that can help
The chrome button and mic work out of box. Otherwise, sometimes not even apps can help, I know volume will probably never work, but hey, Mic and chrome button (Google Now shortcut) beats nothing working!

The control talk is designed for iPhones and contains a special method of communicating with the device. Our android devices don't support that but we have support for the center button.

Beats pro by Dre possible to use phone headset on S3?

I recently got a pair of beats pro by Dre, which are awesome. The included cable with Mic and volume controls does NOT work with my android Samsung galaxy S3. I can hear music and even people talking, but the Mic and volume controls do not work.
The cable is fine, it works fine on my wife's iPhone the way it's supposed to. Mic works, volume control works.
Is there another android specific cable? To make the Mic and volume with with my phone on these headsets?
There's one for iPhone cable..

Headset button

I received my new Bose MIE2 mobile headset. Anyone have any idea how to gain control over the button? I'd like to use it to mute/unmute while I'm on a call. It seems to end a call instead. I tried various headset button controller apps in the market but they all seem to fail taking control of the button despite their debug mode showing they are interpreting the button press (any idea what setting is retaining control over the function)? Thanks!
Just see if Bose has an app on the market. If not then you might be sol

I've done a ton of reading. Its not a Bose issue. Its an Android issue. They changed something in Jelly bean that carried into Kitkat where the phone call app owns all the headset button input. There are third party apps out there that worked prior to the change. If you debug you can see the phone receives the button presses but the apps just can't control them. Seems ridiculous that we can't even program one button whereas iPhone has three button headsets that work.
