u can find RMK on roozwiki and his virtuous site..
also if ur rooted without XTC clip DO NOT install this, or if u do take out the new 98 hboot, itll take away ur root.
all u really need from this is the radio

I'll be updating my roms using this base. Look for a release later tonight.

as long as you were not one of the few testers, you should be fine. The releases version of alpharevx and then revolutionary stopped hboot updates.

Thank you jcase. Also....good to see you here.

Thanks for clearing that up, sorry about that, awesome feature they did!
I was able to install CWM recovery and everything with the ***LOCKED*** .98 bootloader, is that because I used XTC clip?

Yes, permanent S-OFF is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

I'd love to have a clip for cases such as these, but I don't feel like putting that much down for something like that.

This is not a ROM, it is the RUU from the OTA update that was just released. There is a ROM built off of this RUU for root users now.
refer to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161411

I already have the radio. So could I just unzip remove everything but android.txt and system.img then zip it back up and flash it that way?

[Q] How can I update my radio?

Hi all,
Basically I haven't kept up with the rooting and xda community since early this summer. I have a custom ROM with radio 2.05 and I want to update to 2.15 because my phone has had some signal issues and I'm thinking this is it. I am not s-off and from what I'm reading I have to have that to update the radio correct?
Any help would be appreciated.
Check this out, and be sure to fallow the instructions. Be careful, fashing a radio is about the easiest way to brick your phone. Be sure to check md5 sums, have a decent charge and don't pull the battery. Hope this helps.
Yes you need s-off. Use unrevoked forever.

No you do not need to update hboot, but you do need to be s-off. The only way to update the radio if your s-on is to do a complete ruu, whic will update everything to the latest ota.

hi need some help

hi im new to the desire hd forums and im stuck on downgrading from gingerbread 2.3.5 sence 3.0 i dont no if its the updated 2.3.5 or came shipped with 2.3.5 i bought the hanset with that stock rom so ive created a gold card and yet i still cant downgrade with the pg98.img thing and i cant unlock bootloader root or anything with easyaccsesroottool any help would be great im normaly good with this stuff but ive hit a brickwall
Downgrading and gold cards are for AAHK (or for manual S-Off). AAHK is retired, so unless you want to S-Off manually, you should unlock your bootloader instead. What error messages did you get with the Easy Ace Root Tool (which is an unlock tool, not an S-Off tool)? What does your hboot say? Also, please use more understandable punctuation and capitalization. It makes it easier for us to understand, and therefore help, you.

2.0 is not an hboot version...it might be 2.00.0029 or 2.00.0027 but not 2.0. If your Build version is not supported at the moment, then you should create a goldcard and flash a ruu which build version is supported as stated in the OP of the tool.
Im on 2.0.0.0.27 so just a gold card and latest ruu?

I'm yet to read this method in dhd forums....
Here's a little trick I learned over in legend forum (thanks to blay0), from the downloaded exe file, run it, then find the Rom.zip file extracted to temp folder.
Rename Rom.zip to PD98IMG.ZIP put it in root of sd card, reboot to bootloader, should then want to update system just say yes.
This is the method I updated my dhd hboot. No need to go through all the nonsense that ruu does

Just use the latest unbranded one. If you have a goldcard you don't need to find your phone's specific one.

Does anyone have a recovery image made after latest OTA?

Hey everybody,
First off a few weeks ago I recieved the latest OTA update installed it and didn't think anything of it. Anyways recently I tried putting on a custom ROM and finally start messing around with my device. Apperantly though the latest OTA update has updated my hboot and radio version making it incompatible with all custom roms at this point, I think people are working on a fix, but I don't I don't know when or if that will come to light.
Anyways stupid me didn't make a backup because I didn't think I'd need it. I played around with my last two android phones (not htc and much easier to modify IMO) and never went back to stock. Anyways my question is, is does anyone have a stock recovery image made after the last OTA update? I'm assuming I could flash that and my phone would work? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what I really need and someone could help me at least get my phone working again? I appreciate any help I can get, thanks for reading guys.
EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention, I'm on virgin mobile in the US.
You need to ruu, find the right ruu for your phone and do it. It will downgrade your hboot so you will be able to install whatever you like

I don't want to say your wrong because I'm new at this, so forgive me If I'm just ignoran t , but I don't think that will work for me because I've already tried using the RUU and flashing it manually and it keeps telling me,
Hboot version is older!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot.
It doesn't seem to be allowing me to flash a RUU with a older version of hboot, or I could be wrong but I don't know what I'd do differently this time.

I think it won't let you run the ruu because you are dev unlocked. When you open the ruu exe file leave it on the welcome screen then search your computer for Rom.zip (it will be in a temp folder with a long name.) Grab the recovery.Img (or signed_recovery.IMG whatever its called) flash this on your phone via fastboot (fastboot flash recovery signed_recovery.IMG) now type fastboot oem lock. That will relock your bootloader. I think the phone turns off after that. Put it back in fastboot then type fastboot oem rebootRUU. Now run the ruu. I take no credit for this ill post the thread link when I find it

use bl-tool to relock and set supervision

and if you can't access to recovery just relock it with cmd

He wants to return to stock. Meaning he wants a proper ruu. A flashable zip isn't technically considered stock.
So the other stuff I added into the original post were useless?

Haven't you heard of Kitchen? Crossfire has probably used kitchen to make the stock roms in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143410 Flashing the non rooted one is just a back up of a fresh European Rom turned in to a zip and the process of flashing the zip is way more efficient and easier than re-locking the bootloader and then flashing ruu which may take 10mins+.

[Q] Downgrade Verizon HTC One M7 4.4.2?

I updated to an HTC One from an iPhone and I was loving it completely until the KitKat upgrade came out. I absolutely hate the upgrade. I tried looking around but I couldn't find any guide for it. This is pretty much first experiences with Rooting for android.
So is it possible to take my Verizon HTC One M7 running 4.4.2 KitKat, HBOOT-1.56.000, S-ON to JellyBean 4.3?
If you need any other information, I will try my best to find it and provide it.
Thank you so much

So from your custom recovery, you flashed a rom, you did a full wipe beforehand correct? As long as you have an unlocked bootloader (says unlocked at top of bootloader screen), you shouldn't have any issues flashing a rom.

I got a new HTC One from my phone retailer. It's running 4.3 which is amazing but it constantly asks to update to 4.4.2 is there any way to root it without weaksauce? Weaksauce re-roots it after launch and doesn't have it permanently rooted and s-off'ed. I'm sorry but if you could direct me to a place to fully root it and then i can just use firewater to s-off it and then i can just do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856632
to cancel the upgrade notification.
Thanks a lot for the help everyone

if your running 4.3, your fine just run firewater and do what it says. Read the second part of the instructions, for temp root method. trust me its easy and it works

install a custom recovery. the recovery will provide the root. i like twrp2701 myself. but this will allow you to perm root your phone. Or, install a custom rom with root baked in. sense 6 is real nice
