xda iis help needed.

hey guys..
i'm a new member to this site and i found the things talked about a lot interesting.
and would like to try out some of them but currently i think i'm in a diff situation wherein i have a xda iis (blue angel) which has traveled down my family chain for the last few years.
i have absolutely no idea about anything in it.
and somehow it is in bootloader mode through the execution of the enterbl.exe file.
now i'm unable to restart it by hard reset. and am unable to connect to it through mtty.exe
i was looking around in google until i stumbled on here. i did find the information valuable here. but i couldn't find the part to help me out.
has anyone faced such a situation.
i'd be greatful if u could plz help me out.....

thanks for the link but i already tried that...
i also tried to hard reset it a number of times but no use.
i tried to open it by connecting it to my laptop but i can't open it in mtty as well
gives an error that the port can not be opened.
also the bootlog mode automatically closes after a few mins and its difficult to come back to even this phase.
ryt now my cell is just completely switched off.
and another thing i had a windows mobile 2003 version not a windows mobile 5.
besides that i dunno anything ..
not even the language code or the area of purchase.
help me if u guys can..

How about this then ... ?
Try the following:
1) press the D-Pad centre button and then the mail button
2) press and hold the power button, then (keeping the button pressed) use the stylus to press the reset button - hold both for 30 seconds and release
Let us know what happens!

thanks for the tip but no use still....
i tried to remove the batterey overnight but its no use
then this method also is not helping.........
can i have it done at the local mobile shop.
or would that be useless as well...??

Looks like it's your only option now!
I'd check the prices for a BA on eBay first, just to make sure that you aren't paying anymore than that to have it fixed!?

Whats happening with the S?
I had one in 2004 and sold it earlier this year.
Could be the battery is not holding it's charge?
Does it power on when connected to a USB port/mains?

Is my i780 TOTALLY dead?

After applying a 6.5 ROM and trying to revert back (with SPB Backup file) to 6.1 the phone went dead
I mean totally black with no lights - nothing, cannot be turned on.
I recharged the battery, tried all sync cables ... but without success
Is it garbage time? or...can be saved somehow?

You can't revert back to wm6.1 using a backup. You need to flash a wm6.1 rom.

I cannot turn the device on, therefore cannot flash it

Oh. Maybe there's an emergency mode for your device. Is it an i780? I' ve never heard about u780 so i think you pressed the wrong button.

oh...thanks, I edited the title
Emergnecy mode for Hard reset, etc? This is not relevant since no power is even shown on the device
when I press the "power" button the led doesn't light

Hardreset-->Turn on the phone keeping pressed green and red button (it should work)
If hardreset doesn't work reflash but instead of normally turning the phone on, turn on the phone keeping pressed enter and fn (black and white) buttons

sorry m8....i had a similar issue. my i780 went dead...and i had to turn it back to the service center. they told my mother board had fried....and i had to wait a week for a replacement. the support guys wont know you've flashed a new rom...just stay quiet and u'll get another mobo.
what is it that you last did? here are the possible things which triggered this for ME -
1. i'd left my i780 in the sun for 4-5 hrs (in my car dash)...and it was burning hot....so this might have fried something....but it worked fine till that evening before it bricked
2. the same day (after i'd left it in the car)....by evening, i turned my wifi on and left it that way for 4 hrs or so....so over abuse of wifi might have bricked mine?
3. i'd flashed wm6.5, then heroes 6.1 rom.....so was it the flashing around?
4. maybe just samsung has some hw issues with the i780...
bad luck dude!

I don;t think the MB fried...I did #3
I just cant believe that it totaly bricked it, I mean I would have assumed that I can evie it from any stage - but this is like I am holdnig a brick and no more
Someone suggested to open up the back cover and clean the battery terminal - will try this as well
Service Center is not an option - I bought it in Thailand

i took it over to service....at service, the representative opens it up right in front of you and checks if its a minor fixable problem - then and there. So the service rep tried all possible stuff and couldnt manage to get it working. So, eventually they had to send it to higher level service, which took another 4-5 days...and finally they reported a dead mobo which was then replaced under standard warranty.
this sucks dude....i think you're having the same problem with your device that i had. You need to try your luck with service and hope that they give you a free replacement...i think they have worldwide warranty, you could tell them you lost your bill/blah...best bet if you ask me. Or paid service i'm guessing...
sorry m8....this is starting to worry me on the quality of samsung's hw....hmm (never had a single problem like this on any of my htc devices)

If you enter to bootloader (recorder + power button at the same time), cant flash another rom?

i had that on mine as well, yesterday!
take out sd card, take out battery let it sit for a couple of minutes, put in battery again, try sd card in as well...and simply try holding bootloader-grip and resetting it with stylus a couple of times in alll diffrent kinds of alterations...mine eventually came on again
to sum it up:
do all you can and dont give up--chaces are rather high its just a software-thingy

Maybe it helps to resolder the CPU.
I did it with my P3300 when its starts to get withe screen sporadically.
For me it helps.

now i can enter to bootloader and i put the original wm6.1 its turn on but after a few minutes its give a white screen and i can't see no things

Sorry for this news, but i think its a mobo problem You should check that (if u can) or give that to a service.

Phone always has a white screen, but seems to work

Hi Forum,
I got a dash with the WM 6.1 from this great forum.
Somehow since yesterday the screen turned completely white
There was no physical impact on the phone what so ever...
When I turn the phone on, the screen is all the time white... but the phone is still working since the alarm is still ringing....
I've tried already the following:
- took the battery out for over 6 hours and tried again
- with and without sim/sd card
- to reset the phone but with no success since I cant see anything (2 softbuttons, powerbutton etc.)
- putting WM 6.5 with no success with the Error 270
- pressing and holding any button
- tipping the jagger for 3 times
- and finally hitting the phone
All these steps didnt use me anything...
I'd be gratefull for any sudgestions
Maybe the screen is just damaged and its not because of the software...

Hard-reset will be best option and can be done blind since it's button sequence as known then green key, i knopw that peeps have done it blind and with you spending enough time it will be sorted... The other option is bootloader and flash your stock ROM as won't get an error 270

ok about the hard reset.
I hold both buttons beside green and red button then while holding i turn on the phone (power button more then 3 sec.) after it turned on i let go of the buttons and press the green button (I pressed it a several times). What after that?? will everything happen automatically??
if yes then the hard reset wont help since its still white...
unfortunately I dont have the original ROM anymore (WM5).
Do you know where I can get it??

Can you sync with your PC? That's something that you haven't state in your original post.

From what you have posted in the first post, looks to me like your phone has suffered water/moisture damage. Classic white screen, nothing shows, display turns off after default timeout seconds, phone functions smoothly. For this to occur, you dont have to dunk the phone in water, phone in pocket when exposed to light rain, snow will do it.
If this is the case, the first thing you can do to salvage the phone is to remove the battery, otherwise the charge will short circuit more, leading to irreparable damage.
Second thing, try and keep it open for 24 hours or more and try ONCE more, just once, if the moisture has been evaporated. If not, remove battery again.
Next you will need to find a service center where they will dismantle the phone and physically air dry the PCB, and hopefully if it hasnt already shorted, it will come back to life.
The cost for this could vary from minimal to astronomical, depending upon which country you are in.
Do not take my words for granted, do a google for phone water damage, find out if those are your exact symptoms.

yes I can. I already saved the contact list The phone is perfectly working beside the white display...

I really dont think thats the case. Since I was sleeping on the couch, the phone's alarm went of like at 11 and it was all ok, then 30 min later the screen was all white
And the night before I left the phone at home...
Bringing the phone to some service center is out of question, since I live in Germany... If possible, I'd have to repair it my self...
By the way the Display time out works too... Somehow I got the feeling that it wouldnt use me anything to change the display

install this on your computer http://www.mymobiler.com/
it will silently install on your s620 when it syncs with activesync and you will be able to view your screen from your computer monitor
if everything works buy a new lcd from ebay and replace it because its probably broken

I installed the programm and I can see my display on my monitor
Then I hard reseted the phone
Installed WM6.5 from the forum successfully
But the display is still all white
If anybody thinks that the problems any way not from the display please do tell.

My impression is that you have a hardware problem, maybe your screen has something loose. If you state that you will fix it by yourself, you can read the sticky on how to take apart your dash.

There are also power management settings that will turn the display white, however if it is white all the time, then it's probably hardware. Loose connections does sound possible. I'd check that first

You can try the following:
*- COMPLETELY disassemble your phone.
*- Take the PCBs apart on a table or something.
Then... take an hairdryer!!!
You have to dry your PCBs: take a PCB in your hand and do the work.
Be aware of not using TOO HOT air, or you'll melt all.
If it doesn't work, try to dry your LCD.
Doesn't work?
Okay, then the only 2 possible fixes are:
*- Replace the LCD Flex Cable if not integrated in the LCD.
*- Replace the LCD.
Hope that you'll get your phone fixed and running

[Q] Z1c suddenly died/bricked (stock lollipop)

I'm new to this forum and haven't rooted or installed custom roms before, but maybe you can halp me with my problem.
The other day i was on my way to work, at home my phone was working just fine, but when i arrived, it was dead.
I put the phone on charge for the rest of the day, but nothing happened, only a dim flashing red light. Tried to reset in all possible ways.
I charged it with a usb power meter and it draws only about 20mA intermittently...
When connected with the sony bridge for mac software the phone isn't recognised at al. I tried pc companion in windows XP (in bootcamp).
and then the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over.
I don't want to sent the phone out for repair, because there are a lot of pictures and other private documents on the phone and i can't erase the phone myself. Who knows what happens when the phone is repaired.....
Is there a way to get the phone back to live without erasing?

open the sim card slot you will find a small red button (Reset button) there next to the sim press it until you feel 3 vibrations then don't turn on your phone charge it until full then turn it on if it didn't then again press the reset button and don't turn it on , go to pc companion>support zone>software update>repair my phone . and this will be your only hope and i'm afraid you will lose all data on internal storage
