Has anybody noticed occasional and pretty annoying lags with the phone? I have owned the phone from Saturday and haven't noticed any issues in the past couple of days. But this morning, noticed lag on several occasions, many for 10+ seconds.
Noticed lag:
- When trying to update gas price in the Gas buddy app: The whole phone froze and didn't come back up for 20+ seconds. Restarted the phone and everything went back to normal.
- When receiving a call when the phone was asleep: First, I couldn't swipe the 'answer' button. I tried the swipe action, but nothing was happening. After few tries, the answer button went to the right of the screen, but the call still didn't start. It was few seconds of agony before the call connected and I was able to talk.
- When trying to send a text message: Started typing the recipient's name, got list of names from the drop down and selected the recipient. The phone froze for 15 seconds at least. Tried to press the home button frantically did nothing for several seconds. Finally I was able to get to the home page.
- At this point, I killed all the apps and services from the task manager.
- Tried to send the text message and was able to reproduce the lag.
- Restarted the phone, no lags.
Earlier this morning, I enabled flash on a website for the first time and visited a flash intensive website. Not sure whether that has anything to do with the lags.
I tried evo 3d couple of times before giving up on it for good because of build issues in both the phones. I'm desperate to like this phone because I dread going back to TP2. Hope this is not a recurring issue.
ive never experienced ANY lag with this phone. And I consider myself a power user
I have experienced this on two occasions. I've had the phone since Friday. Once was before I rooted, the other after I rooted. I didn't have to reboot either time, just waited for about 30 seconds. Hasn't happened enough to see a pattern. But, the one after I rooted occurred while using Gas Buddy. Hmmm.

Hi, all. Please forgive a newbie's probable lack of etiquette.
So I've had my AT&T Tilt2 for a couple months now, and everything's been working beautifully. All of a sudden over the last few days, a few really annoying issues have popped up out of nowhere.
1. Out of the blue, Opera will no longer connect via WiFi. It had been working, now it doesn't
2. Periodically I'll look at my phone, and instead of "Start" in the upper left, it says "Messaging" and the clock is frozen at some earlier time in the day. A simple touch of the screen clears the problem, but it's annoying.
3. Sometimes, "Start" is replaced with "NewsBreak" and an error message ("Access is denied") has appeared as a running app in list in the upper right, but never actually pops up as an error message unless I choose it from the list. When I clear the error, "NewsBreak" goes away.
4. The sliding keyboard is sometimes unresponsive (messaging, internet, doesn't matter). To get it to respond, I have to click the physical "start" button at the bottom of the phone, then close the start menu. After doing that, the keyboard works fine.
All these problems started about the same time without having modified the phone in any way. Anybody ever seen these before?
Thanks!
p.s. Audio from the built-in speaker is really distorted. Is that normal for this phone, or is my speaker faulty?
Not sure why you have problems but windows does get corrupted from time to time. Just today I had to hard reset and load a saved known good back up when the phone would go to sleep and not be able to be turned on with out a soft reset.
Hard reset it, loaded backup, resynced and all is good now. Somthing must have got goofy.
Hey, I'm having serious issues with my GS3 lately, I got it a few months ago from Sprint's suckish replacement plan.
The problems started a few weeks after I got the device, so I can't send it back or else they'll charge me, I've tried flashing different ROMs and restoring to stock several times and nothing seems to work.
The problems are: The phone randomly shuts down(crashes?) and I have to hold the power button to get it to turn off and I just guess after a few seconds, let go and hold the power button down again to turn it back on, the lock screen freezes, I have to turn the screen on and off a few times before it responds, the phone randomly reboots, it just turns off and back on without any type of animation, it just simply does it, the phone also, in some reboots it optimizes apps as if I had just updated and sometimes it deletes my contacts and text messages.
I have no idea what's going on, I've been trying to bear this problem but I just can't take it anymore! >3<.
I've tried the "Ultimate freeze/crash" thread to no avail.
....
I just tried flashing the new MOAR Rom and it still keeps doing it, my phone runs fine for a few hours before one of the things listed above happens.
Bump...somone please help ;-;
Hey all,
I have searched the web, but most of the info I found relates to the screen going black during calls, which isn't the problem I'm having. My screen is actually fine during/after calls.
This is happening to me randomly and is just the home screen. The lock screen and notifications are still visible when this problem occurs.
I can randomly press the screen hoping to hit an app and they open fine. Sometimes when I back out of the app, the homescreen returns to normal although it can take a few goes, sometimes I have to restart the phone. It isn't happening all the time, in fact before today the last time it happened was Wednesday. I'm just worried that it will become more frequent and as is stands I am still under the 30 days in which I can return the phone for a refund.
I was using Go Launcher Z, although I have returned to the default launcher in case that's what the problem is. Phone has all updates installed, is on 5.1 with the build number LMY47D.
I cannot boot into recovery mode to wipe the cache partition, I must have tried about 30 times. Majority of time the phone just turns on, a couple of times it came up with the option to do a factory reset.
Would appreciate any help
Hello everyone, I just recently got a G3 and it was working fine for the 1st 2 days, no issues. I was sending a text to a friend earlier today and after it sent, it completely froze. After doing a soft reset it took forever to boot up. Once it booted up, it seemed to be fine. about an hour of operation, the screen looked as if it was freezing because it wasn't recognizing any of my touches. i decide to flip the phone sideways to see if it was actually frozen but it changed to landscape just fine. Sometimes it comes back to life then goes off again shortly after, and other times, i have to soft reset. I've tried the following to no avail.
Took the phone apart and cleaned both connectors.
Re-flashing the rom.
Trying 4 other roms.
Returned to lollipop stock.
I can't figure this out for the life to me and worked my ass of to be able to buy this phone. Any help would be appreciated as I can't afford to spend any more money on it!
I also have this issue, it's been ongoing for a few weeks. There will be short periods where it can work just fine, then it just freezes up and does not register any inputs. The content on the screen continues to run as if nothing happened (videos and games keep playing). Turning the screen off, waiting a couple minutes, then turning it on can sometimes give me another minute of use until it freezes up again. Also of note, when the screen is unresponsive and I press the power, it will dim to very low levels for a few seconds before going fully black. When the screen is being responsive and I press the power, it goes straight to black, as is normal and expected. From my testing, I've concluded:
1. This issue is not app dependent. It can occur at any time, and is not caused by alarms or overlays, such as blue light filters.
2. The issue is not from the specific battery I use. I've switched out between multiple batteries and used different chargers, none seem to affect the frequency of freezes.
3. Temperature may have something to do with this. When waking the phone after it's been sitting out in the cold, there seems to be a higher likelihood that it will be unresponsive. This is not always the case, which makes concluding that the issue is hardware related difficult, but some correlation seems to exist.
4. This issue started occurring shortly before I began having the popular "SIM Card Removed" issue, which I've yet to resolve (though can sometimes get the SIM card to work)
I am running stock 6.0 D85030p AT&T. I will post here again if I figure something out, but I have been trying for weeks without much success.
I've bought this phone a little over a month ago from Metro PCS through the $100 promo and was liking it's useful features. However, like a week later, it started to randomly freeze almost daily for almsot a whole minute. It got so bad I couldn't use the phone at all and has to do a quick reeboot (Holding down Volume down and powerbutton). This worked the first few times to fix the freeze. One time for some reason when I tried to quick rebbot to revcover from a freeze the phone actually got stuck on the LG boot up screen :confused. It took me almsot 2 hours to get it back on and when I did it was freezing horribly and stuttering. I decided to do a factory reset to see if that fixed. It fixed the horrible stutters and frequent feeezes, but as of now I still have issues with random freezes. It'll freeze at the strangest times and annoys the heck out of me especially during YouTube binges. Is my "new" phone actually refurbished, or is this a software/hardware issue. Has anyone else expericed this?
my q7+ freezes all the time in games. some are unplayable because of it
