When you go on to phone, on the top tabs you see one thats named "logs", how can i set it to permanently show ONLYYY call logs!?
When in the Log hit the menu button, view by and select what you what to show. I set mine to all voice calls

Well you never said you knew that in your OP now did you.
After you reboot and if you go to the log and select one of your text messages or voice mail when you go back into log everything goes away except voice calls so looks like it may just be a glitch that will hopefully be fixed with a update, but maybe you know that already as well.

lol no need to get mad... i didnt mean to give you an attitude... yea i did what you did and that works, but ill have to test it and see how that continues as i use it (what i mean is if it will stay permanent), so ill need to test it out thanks!

Something that drives me crazy is the call log. Idk if its a samsung or touchwiz thing, but I had the Epic last yr for a few months and never tried a laucher to see if it changes. Is there a way to get rid of every single call? If I were to get 7 calls in a row from the same person it shows it 7 times. Is there a way to just have it show once rather than having your call log show every calls incoming and outgoing from "Joe".

sorry, this is my first galaxy phone... im sure there is a mod or at least another request thread for that matter....
Yes you need a modded logsprovider.apk. Now that root is acheived I am sure many things will be coming soon. Hopefully CWM will be next.

I'm using linux and trying to edit these images with GIMP is extremely hard to make them look smooth. I never used GIMP I'm use to Photoshop and my laptop won't boot up with Windows 7 I think my partition is corrupted. So I'm stuck with linux until I can figure out how to fix my laptop. Would someone mind editing these 4 images with the color code 8d8d8d? To match my other Gingerbread icons the time it would take to fix my laptop I would already have left for work I just need those images to release the final to my rom.
Solved-Can someone help me find these four images in the status bar that has the charcoal blackground. I just need the name of the images or if you know exactly where they are that would be even better. I've been looking all day and can't find them. I've extracted 8 roms and some themes and still can't find them.

Text message notification is in system\app\Mms.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\stat_notify_sms.png
4G icon is in com.htc.resources.apk\res\drawable-hdpi but I dont see the one with the !. There is another one in res\drawable\
3G icon. The only place I found it was in com.htc.resources.apk\res\drawable\
The USB icon is in framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\stat_sys_data_usb.png
Though I think I've changed this one before and it didnt take so there might be another one located somewhere else.
There also might be more of the other icons in additional spots but these are all I could come up with. Hope this helps.

Thanks A lot man I was would have been looking forever for the text message notification.
The 4G notification I found but I don't think that's the one that shows up but I'll try modifying it anyway to see if it works.
3G Thanks I wasn't sure if that was the hotspot image or not.
The usb samething happened to me also.
I'm trying to do the last fixes before I take my rom out of beta and those 4 images was giving me the hardest time ever. I appreciate it

That's the funny part. I don't really know what he changed to get it to start in the first place but all I do know was we changed some setting on the computer it was much easier to use the website then the phone. It was driving me nuts because I was flashing a rom at the time and out of no where the phone stopped working to I brought his phone to work on it and it just started to work. So I guess I would start by turning of Google voicemail in the settings and then you might have to give it a few to start to work then you should be good to go.

Nope we seemed to change them all but we ended up just disabling it at the end because he did not like Google voicemail anyway sorry I wish I new what would have really worked but all I do no is that Google voicemail was his problem at the end. sorry man but trust me that was the problem.

It should be under settings/phones,you would do this from the google voice website once you sign in online the settings are on the far right,the tool icon.
Soooo stupid. I chatted with Sprint customer service and anyone who is having this problem heed my words. They told me to take the battery out, wait for 30 seconds, and restart. At first I was like...your sh****ing me right, generic advice...really Sprint? Then I did it and voila, my phone could make phone calls again.
I really don't even know how to search for this because the only device I know of that I could compare the functionality I want is the iPod Touch. I moved to Verizon a while back and got the Galaxy Nexus. What I would like to do with my Epic is remove all of the phone functions and leave it as a WiFi capable device similar to the iPod Touch so that my son can use it to watch videos and play games. I keep airplane mode turned on, but I keep getting some notification about voicemail not working and I would prefer it to not be able to accidentally dial 911 since Sprint is required to allow that call if the phone tries to send it.
Are there any ROM's that do this, or is it easy to remove the necessary files? I currently have ACE2.0 flashed, and I love it, but I will switch if I need to.
Didn't someone just post this exact same thing? Delete dialeractivity.apk and there will be no dialer.

I found this when looking for something similar for a used Fascinate.
I haven't tried it yet, but intend to when I get some time in a couple weeks...
Looking at the package it deletes several apks and installs a "radiooptions" binary that gets run via script at boot-up.

Whenever I use the stock sms app and receive a message, I get this weird thing going on (screenshot is included). I'm running the the latest stock rooted OTA (LI3) currently but before then I was running MIUI and I didn't experience this issue.
It ONLY happens with the stock messaging app. I tried it with ChompSMS and other things to reproduce a 'ticker' notification in my status bar and I don't get it with anything else. At first I thought it was a defect with my phone but seeing as how only one app is causing it then it must just be the app.
Anyone have a clue of what this could be or a fix? I'm currently waiting for the stock OTA to complete downloading so I can reflash but it's taking a while.

This thread can be deleted. I reflashed the stock ota over my already stock set up and it fixed the problem.

Yes I did. But look in my status bar beside the first letter of the incoming text message after my name. It was a strange thing going on. But it's resolved now.
Edit: It's back. I'm not sure why but I'm actually not bothered by it at the moment. If anyone could tell me, still, why this is happening it'd be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about that phantom-like pipe character in front of the "T"?
The only thing I can think of is a corruption in system/framework, but I have a feeling that's just me reaching for an answer.

Thanks. I think I figured out why I got that weird thing, I changed some font files so I was able to see emoji natively and I forgot I changed them.

Correct, you are on an ICS modem. ICS modems are not compatible with jellybean touchwiz ROMs

Thanks man that was a very amateur mistake on my part I flashed an ics kernel modem and rom so I could el29 the project x rom And forgot about the modem thank u man

Also one more problem I have is I have a persistent voice-mail icon but when I call my voice-mail it says u have none I tried to call myself from another phone to leave a voice-mail and it gives some error should I make a new thread for this question or do you think you can help?

Unfortunately, I have never encountered any problems with voicemail.
There's probably a solution to that somewhere around here. Do some research, if you can't find anything then make a new thread for it.

To get rid of the icon, go into app manager and clear your voicemail cache. If you're not getting voicemails at all, from anyone, delete the app and reinstall it. You can get the .apk from pretty much any stock or custom rom, including Project X Good luck

You should, yes. Go into your app manager and see if there's a "voicemail" apk, might look a bit like a tape cassette.

Just installed project x and it's great..I'm getting addicted to this flashing.only problem is network is unknown.hint..anyone have any ideas.. Other that this Rom is super..really customizable.gone take some getting used to

You can use Erikalins stock app and DL the sprint vmail then install and update and see if you can delete icon then

Hey man... just seen this after searching up a little after you're pm.. when are you getting that error( in the playstore )..I've seen that error before.. I just can't remember when or where..

need a little more info to help out. What network is unknown? Data? WiFi? Did you do a clean install? Are you on the correct modem?

you should PM the maker of the ROM. His name is Bilgerryan. i looked through Erikalin's app and only say the Voicemail widget.
