go to your dialer and type this *#*#checkin#*#*
you should get a notification after it shows reboot phone and you should get it soon.

Ok, I did that i typed it in the dialer, then restarted my phone, and still nothing, i did that about 10 mins after you posted that, i figured i would let it go the night before i respond. any other suggestions. im considering just rooting but i want to keep getting the otas without any hassle.

I can assure you:
1) If you wait for the OTA you may have to wait even longer to root. If that is something you want to do, it is a moot point otherwise.
2) Be patient, plenty of people haven't received the update.
3) This is the last OS update for the Inc. You will not have another update to look forward to as this phone has been updated twice in its shelf life.

Some people at androidforums.com seem to think the update might have been pulled so Verizon can fix a few issues (like leaving Sprint stuff in the build.prop file). I have no idea if this is true or not, just passing it along.
There are still people on androidforums.com that have not received the ota either.

I haven't heard of anyone getting it for a week or more. I'm guessing at this point they had enough complaints that there's some retooling going on. I'm expecting 605.4 in the form of another patch but it's just my own speculation.

I mean users who root know NEVER to accept OTA's so it just puzzles me why they unroot and accept them (the gb ota). I guess its like the tootsie roll pop....the world may never know lol. Sorry for your loss (ur phone).

HTC Inc2 Update- My thoughts

We're all trying to be really patient with the status of our phone S-Off, and I was thinking about the update that may (or may not) be coming to our phone. I am personally not going to update when it comes out, just to be on the safe side. alpharev is obviously doing good work for us behind the scenes, and I don't want to screw up my opportunity to get S-Off and root when they release; on the off chance that an update might prevent that from happening.
Obviously, this is just my paranoia kicking in, but I've seen some people on HTC FB that are claiming that they updated, and now can't root. Thoughts?
lol, ease off the crack rock budy, it will be here any day. I havent heard any news of an update comeing the next few days anyways, so you wont have a choice most likely.
The unlock is rumored to be released "soon" (within a week was mentioned, but probably a bit optimistic), while the next update is rumored to be August (this is only a couple months away, btw). Keep in mind these are rumors.
AlphaRev will likely want to break the update to maintain device compatibility so more than likely they will keep up.

Not sure how I'm on the pipe? I'm just saying that I'm not going to install the update right away if I have a choice. Thanks though.
I was wondering about the GPS fix that HTC is working on for the Dinc2. What if we are rooted and that is pushed out? What happens then?

Someone will dump the updated rom, and make it available for rooted users. The only way this update can mess something up is if HTC decides to fix the exploit that currently allows the phone to be rooted... but from what they have stated publicly, they are moving away from that direction and mind set (thank god).
Eventually a DEV will incorporate all the fixes that the OTA update has into their ROM/stock ROM, whatever. and I think it's great we have a recovery ready for when alpha drops the S-OFF. it's better than getting S-OFF and having no way to flash anything..

Just quoting you again, and bumping the thread, in case you missed this:

Once rooted, a RUU can be torn apart and made into a root friendly ROM. We can still get all of the benefits of updates even if they do patch exploits.

Battery Life-Extending Firmware Update: Got Yours?

If anyone gets this update please let us know! I am currently still on "N910AUCU1ANIE" and have not received the update for "XXU1ANJ4". Look forward to see what positive enhancements this has, have read good comments about the positive impact on battery life.

The update mentioned isn't for the AT&T variant. No word on when we will get our update.
That's for T-Mobile variant
Even if we do get an update, there is no way I am applying it. I want root, and don't want to risk any chance that I might miss it.
At Att pace for updates we wont get it until next year and when we do it will mess our phones up.

You might not have a choice. AT&T is known for force pushing updates to phones and without root you can't stop the OTA push service so you don't really have anything to worry about. Unless you disconnect from the network, you'll eventually get the update without a choice. This happened to a lot of people on the Galaxy S4 when they patched loki. Many went to bed to wake up the next morning with there phone rebooted. Some didn't even notice planning to install loki the next day only to find AT&T pushed the patch to there phone unless you remembered to disable OTA service.

No Lollipop Update

I have not received any update for Android 5.0 yet. I find this pretty odd considering it has been out for a long time. Everything seems to be functionally normally, but I never get any OTA update notification and it says I have the latest updates. Is this something to be concerned about, or am I just extremely unlucky to be one of the last ones to get it? Thanks.

The Nexus 7 is experiencing issues with L. My dad's device also didn't get it yet.
However, nothing stops you from flashing the image yourself from Googl's developer site.
This is the first time I've heard of this. Thanks for giving us all a heads up!
Oh wait, there's only about 10 other threads on the first page about this very issue.

I just got update to Nougat on AT&T

Did anyone else get updated, my phone is not rooted or unlocked. so far update looks sleek, need to explore a lot.
enjoy all.

Mine is updating now but stated "security update will install?"
Looks like the N920AUCS4EQG1 update Nobarb found for all of us and referenced as unreleased a little bit back. (Thank you once again, Nobarb for all your hard work!!)
Probably just another security update. With the S8, S8+ and now the Note 8 forthcoming I can't imagine Samsung throwing us any more bones for our good old Note 5.

My apologies...I may have misunderstood what you were talking about. I just got an update yesterday and it was the QG1 update which brings in the July 1, 2017 update.
If you are not fully up to that build, keep trying for an update. You might try manually pushing your clock ahead a day if it is restricting you by the time limit.
I also received this new update and installed it. No difference in battery life or performance whatsoever... Just security updates.
Ever since my phone was updated to Nougat, it has been randomly rebooting (sometimes once a week and sometimes twice in 10 minutes). I can still use it fine but I'm honestly getting tired of finding it stuck at the "Enter PIN" (encrypted phone) screen after restarting. So I'm missing important calls without even realizing it when the phone is in my pocket. Anybody else seeing this? Suggestions welcome.
I did a cache wipe at least 10 times now and that didn't help. Don't wish to do a factory reset... It's a pain to setup android the way I like.
Thanks for any help guys.
someone can give me firmware N920AUCS4EQG1, im out side US,pls!
