I just obtained a G2...and this is my first time using Froyo. I had a motorola milestone with 2.1. Anyway, I noticed that now...the thread's background color is white, with text msg font in black. I wanted to know if there was anyway to have 2.1's style of text threads (black background w/ white text)? Thanks...
this is actually not a difference between 2.1 and 2.2, this is a difference between motorola's motoblur ui & vanilla android.
and currently, no. srry.
you can use handcent or chompsms to get a custom the look for sms

Only thing is that the milestone...well my milestone did not have motoblur installed into it. My old G1s cupcake had the same sms thread style. I don't understand why they didnt give us a choice...eh

They didn't give us a choice because they said we can't have r cake and eat it too. But anyways when prem work comes out we will have a choice. But I like the white so I'm good

This only works on sense ginger roms, no?
This will only work on gingerbread sense roms. I'm pretty excited for three point oh. I'm waiting for a full port though. There aren't many good, updated gingersense roms available IMO.

Will this work with never-rooted Gingerbread Desire Z?
To anyone using miui there is a lockscreen in the theme manager download section that is more or less the same lockscreen from 3.0

Agile Lock in the Market is a much better Sense 3 lockscreen. The one linked in the OP is from the Doubleshot aka the myTouch 4G Slide, and it's not the complete Sense 3 lockscreen. It doesn't have shortcuts, widgets or customizations.

Regarding using the Sense 3 lockscreen? As noted this is a replacement lockscreen that looks and has similar features as the Sense 3 lockscreen, decided to check it out.
So, bought the full paid Agile Lock app for $1.40 from the android market...so far so good. Lots of settings and also on screen widgets + apps.

Is there an MIUI lockscreen style for the incredible? I am tossing around ideas with another dev and thought this might be a nice addition. I'm not really going for the iPhone look, but I like the slider lockscreen with the "phone|unlock|sound" buttons and the slide up style.
I think your best bet would be to use widgetlocker and try to find an MIUI theme. Assuming you're trying to get that lockscreen without actually running MIUI.

Yea, it needs to be cm, that way I can compile it from source. Thanks

You can always create it if you have design. I can create lockscreens. I'm working on a hc look alike. Its the concept hc thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039060
And the source. It is not integrated into cm or omfgb. But can be easily.

Sounds great! I'll try to come up with and idea for the lockscreen. Thanks!

Except I'd like to make the icons android green instead of white.
Can you make it with phone lock and message icons? When holding down and sliding up phone/message icon it opens that up. When holding down and sliding up lock it simply unlocks home screen.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
That seems to be easy. To me it basically looks like an extension of the lense style lockscreen. If it would work how I think it works that makes it easier on me.

When will you have time? I'm really stoked about it!
Not today lol. Idk. I'm busy right now. Can't do anything till my finals end. I've had to put all my projects on hold. Once i start going you'll see a thread in dev that will bring joy. ;-) just wait a couple to a few weeks.

Ok. Sounds good! Hope you ace your finals!
what has come of this project?
Firstly, I apologize if I'm off on anything I say here and am definitely open to direction. I'm a bit new to the game but have taken a deep interest in the modding community and modding itself. I generally just read from the sidelines but I seem to be in a pickle at the moment.
I am currently running ARHD 5.2.3 (Thanks, Mike!) with several Sense 3.0 mods including the 3D Rosie. I absolutely love it and it doesn't interfere with the mod or anything and the performance is still amazing. Well, I've been thinking about doing an actual case mod with a wrist mount and I remember seeing the HTC Flyer had the 3D Rosie in landscape mode, too. Now I'm aware of BeatMod, the Flyer ROM for DHD, but I'd really like to stick with Mike's ROM. Is there a way to get the .apk for the Flyer Rosie by itself so I can use the landscape 3D launcher or because of resizing and HTC widget issues will I have to use a ROM that is built around the Flyer port?
Im not sure but you can always try it. Download the Beatmod zip, extract it and search for rosie.apk. Do a nandroid, move it to your phone SD card and then replace the rosie.apk thats already there via Root Explorer.
That's true. I might give that a go tomorrow after a good night's rest.

I went ahead and loaded the .apk. It works to an extent before it force closes. Judging by the way its reacting, its having a problem with old 2.1 widget sizes. I lose the dock at the bottom completely (it might be there but below the edge of the phone screen because of size issues), Friend Stream doesnt show anymore, my news widget is off-center to the top-left, and when I go to add a widget via the personalize button everything is a mess and not as descriptive as it should be. When I fumble around and finally hit the right button for widgets and start looking through them it force closes. Any tips on the next step to get this functional?
Doesnt seem like you'll be able to use it without the Flyer ROM then. It wasnt designed for other ROMS and thus doesnt work properly.
BUT you might want to try to find out which kernel is in the Beatmod ROM, then install it to yours. It might make a difference.
I'm wondering how 3D Rosie differs from the Flyer Rosie as I am able to use it on ARHD. I'll probably shoot a message over to Seo and ask about how they modded 3D Rosie to work.

The only thing i can suggest to experiment with is the DPI. as far as I know DHD uses 240 while flyer uses 160. Try playing through LCD density changer as well.
Alright. I'll give that a go. I did read something about that while I was looking around. That could fix sizing but I'd still have to tackle function.

Good luck! Please post here about your results I would be interested in have a rotating homescreen on VU Rom
I was searching internet (mainly google) for an AOSP like status bar theme for the Droid Razr M and all I can find is the theme for the Razr i which isn't compatible with the M, causes systemUI to stop working. I was wondering if anyone could create one, I'm sure others would love to have this theme as well. I'll upload the neccessary files if needed. I tried creating one myself but can't find anything to properly decompile the systemUI.apk as well as others.
Yeah i second it, I hate the status bar and lack of quick setting on the Razr M. I have done some editing of the system UI at one time and I have seen an article on creating your own quick setting panel but haven't had the motivation to sit and see if it would be possible for me to edit or not. I have been using xposed moduals to see if I can edit them that way which helped some but would like asop quick panel setting without a 3rd party app Ive been using.

An AOSP status bar icon theme has already been ported to the Razr i I was just hoping maybe someone could port it from that to the Razr M, they have the same display resolution it's just the Razr i's systemUI apk does not work at all on the M, trust me I've tried.
I'd also be interested in one of these. The Verizon signal icon is the one thing that keeps me from wanting to stick with a stock ROM.

I didn't pack it for Safestrap, didn't know you were locked. You could try...or move it manually and set permissions [0644].
Let's just say luckily I had a backup of my stock ROM (because it has the best battery life of all for some strange reason [but I digress]) also, do you think its possible to port this status bar theme to the Droid RAZR Maxx HD as well, that's another phone (locked bootloader as well[safestrap only :confused :] ) that doesn't have this theme yet. I still have the M but I'm selling it

Do you know if the Razr M mod worked properly?
9.30.1 Deodex
I'll test that when I have the time
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using XDA Free mobile app
I can't seem to install the deodexed theme without systemUI.apk not working on boot, so I used 7zip to transfer files from the theme apk and the stock one and it has a few small issues. When connected to WiFi and data is on, it reverts back to the 4g LTE icon that's stock, when there's no data traffic, the 4g icon is aosp but in the position of the 4g LTE with network traffic icons under it. I'll provide the screen shots in my next post

You need the /values folder.
Are the pics from the M or HD? If there from the HD, I assumed it used the same set of icons but I guess not. I'll look through it again.
