MIUI style lockscreen? - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there an MIUI lockscreen style for the incredible? I am tossing around ideas with another dev and thought this might be a nice addition. I'm not really going for the iPhone look, but I like the slider lockscreen with the "phone|unlock|sound" buttons and the slide up style.

I think your best bet would be to use widgetlocker and try to find an MIUI theme. Assuming you're trying to get that lockscreen without actually running MIUI.

Yea, it needs to be cm, that way I can compile it from source. Thanks

You can always create it if you have design. I can create lockscreens. I'm working on a hc look alike. Its the concept hc thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039060
And the source. It is not integrated into cm or omfgb. But can be easily.

Sounds great! I'll try to come up with and idea for the lockscreen. Thanks!

Check this picture out: http://tapa.tk/mu/ad7e3b54-1093-f34b.jpg
Except I'd like to make the icons android green instead of white.
Can you make it with phone lock and message icons? When holding down and sliding up phone/message icon it opens that up. When holding down and sliding up lock it simply unlocks home screen.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

That seems to be easy. To me it basically looks like an extension of the lense style lockscreen. If it would work how I think it works that makes it easier on me.

When will you have time? I'm really stoked about it!

Not today lol. Idk. I'm busy right now. Can't do anything till my finals end. I've had to put all my projects on hold. Once i start going you'll see a thread in dev that will bring joy. ;-) just wait a couple to a few weeks.

I am on CM7, installed this, but didn't work for when I enabled it, the lockscreen was skipped. How do I (I guess) turn off the cm7 lockscreen so I can use this?
Just downloaded. Works great and it's a nice addition to the ICS 2.1 theme since there is an android 4.0 lockscreen.
What I hate is that the lockscreen is translated but... the original characters from the previous language are still there. Kinda ruined it for me. I won't be using it till that can be fixed. Otherwise it's perfect.

Yeah some of the lockscreens have Chinese characters, and others don't.
I actually posted this app in zandermans thread last week.

I was surprised it didn't get more attention. The lockscreens are my favorite part of MiUI.

Forum pool on when we get an official ICS update

I read the forum rules and online gambling isn't mentioned. Any good guesses on when we will be getting 4.0? I am betting $5.00 on 3/30/12.
I'll take the end of February for $0.00... They have to add all the unneeded bloatware.
Way too optimistic dates above me ^
Id say about a month after the sgs3 is released
as soon as bubby finishes cm7 they can do ics, lmao

Okay, then you just throw on the Trebuchet launcher from CM9, or even the vanilla ICS launcher, and your problems are solved.
Dang, you wouldn't even have to have Root for that. Just like when I bought this phone: Touchwiz 4.0 didn't even make it out of the Best Buy parking lot before I had ADWEX running. (and Touchwiz 4 actually had a slim chance of survival, because it's the best version they've made so far, to be sure.....)
However, ADW won out merely because of the sheer speed factor.
(And yes, I know that Touchwiz is still there, lurking underneath, but it's really almost transparent compared to HTC's Sense or Motorola's Blur thing....)

EDIT: Oh, yeah, the pool for "official" release: February 21st.
I think you should make the launcher look more in favor of the new flavor. The people app is royally renovated and I am looking the look. Any idea if you can make the theme of the whole phone look like that?
1. Making the status bar transparent
2. Vertical scrolling of the apps menu. Scroll horizontally to go to widgets menu.
3. Changing the whole background to white (pearl white) with black roboto font, or at least an option to do so.
4.to make apps on the dock bar run continuously so that there a no lag when trying to open them.(everyone I try to open the people app, it takes sometime to load and it's irritating)
5 instead of grey background on every pop up menu, a blue white themed menu options would be great. I am new to xda, so if this is in a wrong forum, please feel free to post the same in the right forum.
I greatly appreciate the work your are doing. Good luck!

Unofficial? January is looking pretty likely so far.

My request was not exactly a theme. the status bar becoming transparent can be viewed as hiding the status bar. scrolling options is definitely launcher. and keeping the dock icons in homescreen running use definitely launcher again. and yeah dude you missed something. And as long as you don't do anything productive there's no need to lol. And this is me being polite.

You can accomplish this UI with the current apps on the playstore... Desktop Visualizer, Widget Locker, Multi Live Wallpaper and a little Gimp/Photoshop to make the wallpaper and some time... boom you have a very basic UI I think sharp isn't going to go anywhere with this.

I don't get why they put icons inside of squares. Its like putting an icon inside an icon which leaves you with a 3 column app tray. Think about all the scrolling you'd have to do.
The lock screen is cool and I'm sure the app store will have something similar soon enough.

its similar, use multi-live-wallpaper and set crop to "Fit to screen" (this is my version of it) if anyone wants it. I personally do not like this UI but I thought i would take a step toward what some ppl want. Ill make the icons 2mrw if you guys want em. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ffkbkwgxqvm681a/FEELUI.rar Enjoy!

this is more than just a home screen transition.
nothing out there (that i have seen at least) gives you vertical scrolling on the home screen as well as horizontal scrolling.
also, the lock screen is more than just a widgetlocker theme. the clock wont be on the bottom, and it wont scroll, the lock screen wallpaper wont scroll, you cant slide the lock icon up, and get the options, you dont get the nicer looking missed call/mail/sms pop ups.
this goes MUCH further than just some skin.
I just read an article about this from The Verge and i'm intrigued. The developers created Next interface and seem to be onto something. They feel the desktop is an unnecessary step to get to the app tray. Fair point, why have a bunch of apps then hit a button to get to your other apps? In the quest to be pc-like, Android has a desktop and widgets. Great, but I do see the point being made here. Oh, and notifications were redesigned.

Yeah I have a feeling that will get reworked.
Double pull down sounds like cluttering to me, I hope not.
Seems ok. I would think of an alternative method to access those controls though. They are kind of hidden away to be fair. Maybe implement tabs such as in Sense or Miui.

Double pull-down for settings make total sense to me. One thing I don't like about the SIII and TouchWiz is with the quick settings and everything at the top there is less room for notifications (as the article points out). It also looks cluttered and it seems like there is way too much going on on the pull down menu. Plus I don't change my settings that often but when I do it's somewhat awkward to pull down the notification bar and then click the little settings icon. It would be easier to swipe down once for notifications and then swipe down a second time for settings. Or, what they could do is have two finger swipe down go directly to quick settings.
This is from a sense 1.0 rom. Obviously custom but works similar to the 4.2 2 panel set up.
Super convenient.
Interesting how much stuff the devs on xda have created that is merging into official android.

This was a feature taken from newer releases of Sense that were brought to older releases. My first Android phone was an HTC with Sense 1.0...the toggles were never seen until Sense 2.1 got released, then devs got to porting them to older releases.
Not really a "classic" rom if it has a bunch of Sense 2.1 features...
Hey I didn't name it. I just used it.

I don't know about anybody else but I'm sold on the double notification bar. Seems like the best middle ground between notification widgets and the settings menu without obstructing the notification panel.

[LAUNCHER/APP/WIDGET] RAZR M 3D Circle Widgets [LAUNCHER/APP/WIDGET]

I am actually a Motorola Atrix 2 owner but have been using this launcher and widget for months now...really enjoy it and read that someone on an HTC 4G device was able to install it as well via CWM. Well my girl has an Incredible 2 and I decided to give it a whirl and whaddya know? It worked. Here's a DB link of mine of the zip: http://db.tt/PxWxjC79 Here's the thread where I got the download link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906402 Enjoy and I would advise a wipe of cache and davik cache as well before flashing the zip. Heres some attached screenshots. If anyone wants to or can make it anymore better or mod it up for the INC 2 device itself, feel free. Hope anyone enjoys it as much as I do!
P.S. If you flick the circles they flip to the other side. Clock being analog one side and digital the other. Weather you can add cities on and on and on...(as many cities as you want.) And the battery's opposite side is a settings icon for a quick setting short-cut. Also fogot to mention that the left side is first page on launcher. Far left is quick setting page and far right is where you can keep adding pages and what not. Preview allows you to swap up pages too. Couple side notes as well are scrolling wallpaper does not work with this launcher. The dock is like stock moto with app names showing without edit option. AND the weather may start out on C° reading so in settings youll have to change to F° if thats your preferrence. IMHO I love the widgets and its so worth it. They're really cool.
