Hi, everyone
I have trouble witha my Desire, recently bought as second hand. It Soon developed problems with GSM signal reception. My Desire has radio version 32.49.00.32u_5.11.05.27, and kernel version 2.6.32.15-g2633d94. It uses to lost GSM signal, or become unavaible number, even don`t recognise aSIM card. I replaced my SIM card with new one at my provider, but the problems stay.
Looking forward for suggestions and advices. Thanks!

if you didnt rooted/ did any custom mods
i would send it to customer support, sounds like a hardware problem...
if you did modded you can try a other radio
if the problem still exist, i would flash the ruu and do what i said above

wrong radio rom updated ("no gsm")

Hi,
I finally managed to get windows mobile 6.1 english on my qtek.
But he still displays the error: NO GSM
So i called with Qtek & Tmobile and they said to me that i possibly updated a broken radio rom of some kind.
How can i fix this rom, i tried with a complete update thing (all three the roms). but it stuck at 99.9%. (i had it connected to the pc)
Is there another way of updating the radio?
I had the exact same no gsm problem while flashing wrong radio. Works great before with t-mobile sim card but tried to unlock sim to work with at&t and flash with the wrong radio and now this thing is brick with the no gsm problem. This uni been sitting in my drawer for several months now as a paper weight.

Continuous No Service

I was running WM6.5 and was getting no service on Vodafone UK at any time. It just failed to pick up the network. Then did Hard SPL and flashed with Deep Shining. Still getting the same. Anybody know how I can get a signal.
Thanks
Bad sim card maybe?
try the latest radio
SIM Card OK as it can be used in another handset. Latest radio? - any threads to show to do this.
Thanks

My phone has big problem - "No SIM Card"

Hi,
I had an OTA firmware update about a week ago and all seemed fine. Then a couple of days ago, I started to lose reception... and was unable to make/recieve calls. Initially I thought it was a network issue, then I discovered my work phone (also on Orange) had perfectly good reception. I decided to change network settings (GSM-WCDMA) and no luck. Then I thought I will change SIM cards, and now I get "No SIM card in phone". The original sim card works fine in my work phone, but no SIM card works in my HTC Desire!
Im pretty certain it has something with that OTA firmware upgrade. Also, when switching the phone on it constantly asks me to reset the time.
Any ideas what I can do? The phone is unbranded from CPW.
Have you tried a hard-reset? I'm not sure of the exact procedure, but I'd try that first, or maybe reflash the de-branded ROM to it??
I know the Orange handsets that had been de-branded SIM-Locked the phone after being flashed OTA (search the forums and you'll see) and to get past this you needed to get an unlock code from htccodes (or another)...
Hope you get it working matey...
Orange and T-Mobile have just recently made a merger so all orange and T-Mobile phones are having issues with reception, as for your issues have you got a stock orange desire or are you using debranded desire? If your stock try rerooting using a goldcard and see if this helps any

Sim card not detected after Rom Update

Hi guys!
This days I tryed to update my rom to pays v2.2 and leedroids v2.2, but after flashing the roms my Desire didn't detect the Sim card anymore (I tryed other radios, wifi always works, so I presume radio is fine). Also I can't access to software information-I get a FC.
Sim card should also be fine-works perfectly with "older" roms, like Pays 1.9.
I'm using an italian sim card from H3g-so only 3g network.
thanks in advance for any help (andsorryfor the bad english)

[Q] DHD No Signal

Hi, I'm a noob, forgive me. I bought my Desire HD from Singapore, which came unlocked. Then, I downgraded it, and rooted it. Everything went fine. Then one day, after flashing a rom and flashing the recommended radio (forgot which rom), my phone suddenly lost signal, and I have been unable to get it back since. It says "Limited Service Emergency Calls Only" It detects the SIM card, but when I try to connect to my home network, it says that my SIM does not allow a connection to that network. So, I flashed back to stock, both Froyo and Gingerbread, assuming that it replaces the radio with the default radio. (Is that so?) However, that does not work. Now I fear that I might have flashed the wrong stock rom, which might be the problem. Does anyone know what is the stock rom for the Desire HD shipped to Singapore unlocked (software number, etc) and how can I get it? Also, how can I check the rom's information (software number, whether it is for asia, or is it WWE... etc) THANKS A LOT
PS. I tried getting a replacement SIM. it does not work. it is a 128k sim card. (Does that help?)
Nicholas
Also, other SIMs work on my Desire HD. My SIM doesnt, but works on other phones.
