Hi guys!
This days I tryed to update my rom to pays v2.2 and leedroids v2.2, but after flashing the roms my Desire didn't detect the Sim card anymore (I tryed other radios, wifi always works, so I presume radio is fine). Also I can't access to software information-I get a FC.
Sim card should also be fine-works perfectly with "older" roms, like Pays 1.9.
I'm using an italian sim card from H3g-so only 3g network.
thanks in advance for any help (andsorryfor the bad english)

Hi, everyone
I have trouble witha my Desire, recently bought as second hand. It Soon developed problems with GSM signal reception. My Desire has radio version 32.49.00.32u_5.11.05.27, and kernel version 2.6.32.15-g2633d94. It uses to lost GSM signal, or become unavaible number, even don`t recognise aSIM card. I replaced my SIM card with new one at my provider, but the problems stay.
Looking forward for suggestions and advices. Thanks!
if you didnt rooted/ did any custom mods
i would send it to customer support, sounds like a hardware problem...
if you did modded you can try a other radio
if the problem still exist, i would flash the ruu and do what i said above
greetings
Hi, I'm a noob, forgive me. I bought my Desire HD from Singapore, which came unlocked. Then, I downgraded it, and rooted it. Everything went fine. Then one day, after flashing a rom and flashing the recommended radio (forgot which rom), my phone suddenly lost signal, and I have been unable to get it back since. It says "Limited Service Emergency Calls Only" It detects the SIM card, but when I try to connect to my home network, it says that my SIM does not allow a connection to that network. So, I flashed back to stock, both Froyo and Gingerbread, assuming that it replaces the radio with the default radio. (Is that so?) However, that does not work. Now I fear that I might have flashed the wrong stock rom, which might be the problem. Does anyone know what is the stock rom for the Desire HD shipped to Singapore unlocked (software number, etc) and how can I get it? Also, how can I check the rom's information (software number, whether it is for asia, or is it WWE... etc) THANKS A LOT
PS. I tried getting a replacement SIM. it does not work. it is a 128k sim card. (Does that help?)
Nicholas
Also, other SIMs work on my Desire HD. My SIM doesnt, but works on other phones.
Hi,
propably after android auto-update my phone could not recognize that SIM card is inserted.
It did not recognize : 2degrees.co.nz SIM card (128k) and Telecom.co.nz SIM.
However another simcard (vodafone.co.nz) is always detected correctly, so SIM card slot is OK.
Now regarding to software :
I had primou kernel before ~ some version from may 2012... I reinstalled that today to 3.0.16-g133e482 ABM018#1 kernel with myONEv RC4.0. FX but ISSUE is still the same :/
I am wondering how i can recognize whether my HTC ONE V is GSM or CDMA phone ? Maybe that`s the thing. I bought my HTC in europe and i am currently in the New Zealand. I used 2degrees SIM in past few weeks but then i started to have problems with it...
I am quite hopeless because i do not excatly know where is hidden problem.
Thank you for advices.
Hi guys,
I got a Samsung T989 T-Mobile yesterday with stock Gingerbread Rom, i flashed recovery cwm and rooted the phone.
I flashed a 4.1.2 rom, everything was working good except that the phone doesn't detect my sim card.
I Flashed various roms and various modems, restocked to 2.3.6 and 2.3.5 still having the same issue.
I also tryed some tested sim cards and still no sim detected.
I don't even know wich baseband came with my GB version, is there a way to find the good stock rom ?
Radio tryed :
UVLI1
UVKL1
UVKID
UVMC6
UVLDE
UVLE1
UVLI4
UVLH1
Any idea ?
Today i made an upgrade from kies to 4.1.2 UVMC6, still same probleme.
Is it a hardware probleme ?
Little up guys ! i flashed all supported firmwares on sammobile, none of them get the sim to work.
I am not sure if this will help you, but I had some phone not recognizing SIM type problems too, and the problem was if the SIM card was not in the exact right spot the phone would not recognize it. So I would try to scoot the SIM to one side of the slot or the other and that fixed it. Also if I dropped the phone it would say "SIM card removed" "restart device" and I would have to reposition the SIM card. I hope I helped someone
