[Q] After call freeze. - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I used to get this quite often on my x10, as in after a call the phone would freeze, on both standard non-rooted or rooted with custom rom. It only happens about once a month on my Arc. I changed a few build props(mainly the proximity) but it doesn't seem to be a sensor issue. Tried a setCPU profile where in call the cpu doesn't idle but it still seems to happen. Just want to know if it's only me or does anybody else get this?

phone crash after missed call

having strange problem where after a missed call - sometimes - the phone just dies and I have to take the battery out to reset. Anyone else seen this - I have a few task managers that I think may be causing problems so have killed these already.
Thanks
JK
I'm having exactly the same problem!!! It's a super strage issue if you ask me!
I can play games for hours or browse the web and it never shuts off... But if I miss a call it's apparently shut itself off and only way to boot it up again is to remove the battery.
It can't be a heat issue since it doesn't happen during gaming and other stuff but only missed calls seem to trigger it.
Yes I've cleared the phone log a couple of times but that doesn't make any difference.
same here........not always but frequently this issue appears.....
Tried different roms, now runing cool kingdom sense 3.0 and for 2 days no problems and today it crashed twice...
could it be the radio rom??? anyone any solution yet or would it be a hardware failure...
Only fix now is take out the battery......

[Q] Screen Flips Orientation, possible fix?

So I've have been having this issue on and off with my phone I have the Rhod210 US T-mobile Touch Pro2 with the most recent Energy ROM and for a couple months now the screen will randomly change orientation and it will do it constantly even if the phone is closed and on a level area. I also have an issue where this will happen after the screen has been turned off, after a minute with the screen off the back light will come on and the orientation will keep flipping from Horizontal to Landscape over and over again.
I have an overclock set on this phone but I didn't have this issue until weeks after I had my overclock set
Anyone else having this problem? Is my phone broken?
Is there a fix for this that I don't know about?
Thanks in advance guys
Honestly, it sounds like a faulty G-Sensor. Flash a stock ROM and see if the problem persists.
I calibrate the G sensor and it still doesn't make a difference. It seems to just happen randomly and for a few minutes or sometimes a whole night.
You should flash a stock ROM to see whether this is a hardware issue or not. If it happens on a stock ROM with nothing installed, then it is hardware. If it does not happen, then you've got a problem with the software on whichever ROM you're currently using.

[Q] Screen Won't Wake Up?

Hi everybody,
After running stock DK28 for a while, I decided to give rooting a try. I was able to root with no problem. However, after a couple days now, I have noticed that when my screen times out, sometimes it is unable to wake up. In other words, the screen turns off, and will not turn back on despite how many times I press the power button. The only way I am able to fix this is by taking out the battery and re-starting the phone.
The problem seems to be very intermittent and random at best. Any ideas what may be causing this?
Also on an unrelated note, I have noticed that if I leave my screen open and allow the phone to time out, the physical keyboard will light up and turn off several times by itself (this has been going on since I installed DK28). Not necessarily a problem, but kind of weird.
Thanks in advance for the advice!
Do you have setCPU ?
i know sometimes when people set screen off properties to low it freezes and needs a batt pull
Funny enough, I guess the problem started after I installed that. I cleared its settings and cache and uninstalled the program hoping it would fix it, but no dice. I figured that would fix the issue if it was related
i guess reinstall it and set the screen off properties a little higher maybe
400 max
100 min
ondemand
(My settings)
or play with the settings till it fixes since im guessing you never reinstalled the rom your on
I tried that once, didn't seem to help but I will give it another shot.
I am running stock DK28 ROM, maybe a fresh install will help?
o and you wouldn't happen to be on viper rom would you ?

Set it at 200 min.
not running viper ROM. I am running stock froyo with root access.
DiGi: Is that what you have it set on? I thought I read somewhere not to set it that low.
I was running on 200 min just fine. I haven't had setcpu on my phone for a little while though. I think 100 is too low and causing the problem. 200 didn't cause crashes for me.
I've been playing with the settings on SetCPU but to no avail. My screen still won't wake up at random.
Any other thoughts? I have again, un-installed SetCPU and am no longer using it but the problem still occurs.

Recently changed my phone to android and my phone wouldn't wake up every time it goes to sleep more. (Radio 2.10.50.2)
looked and tried a lot of suggestions (format SD, flash ROM, update setup.txt file and etc) but nothing worked until I flashed the new radio 2.14.50.
And it's been working fine for a day now (finger crossed).
Do you have adjbrightness? Theres a problem with it on galaxy s phone where it won't wake up that they haven't been able to fix and that may be your problem.
Did you ever figure out how to fix this "no wake up" issue? I had this problem out of the box with my mini. So does my friend.

[Q] Messaging notification doesn't always sound.

Just wondering if this was a common occurance? When my phone is on a lower volume at work, I've noticed when I get messages the notification sound doesn't always play. The phone still vibrates and I've made sure its loud enough to hear, it just doesn't play until I restart the phone.
Anyone else getting this?
Currently everything is stock apart from using Nova launcher. (haven't had it long enough to start playing with ROMs )
ive noticed this sometimes, but i think changing it from the message/emails settings will fix the issue

Background apps super low priority / not triggering

My SGS4 (T-Mobile) is a bit over 2 years old now. I had been running a modified TouchWiz rom (I believe it was this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2679913), but recently I started having problems where the phone was missing triggers - alarms wouldn't go off, TextSecure would receive all my messages all in one big lump only after I opened the app, stuff like that.
I tried reflashing a number of ROMs, and I've currently landed on a recent CM12.1 nightly, but I'm still getting this problem where apps running in the background don't seem to have enough priority to get the phone to wake up and alert me that something is happening.
Does anyone know of a way to figure out what's going on? Any suggestions on diagnosing this?
(I have tried messing with PrivacyGuard on CM12.1, in case it's a separate issue, but the problem persists with it enabled or disabled).
