...nice and without bias....
Every one month with WP7 I've seen has been pretty balanced excpet for Cnet. The problem is Cnet has the biggest reach of all the ones I've seen.
Just wait for iPhone 5. CNET will give them editors choice, editors pick and phone of the millennium award.

That's more of an opinion piece than a review. Most of them are, really.
And of course everyone is more balanced except for CNet. The CNet review was the only one that didn't praise it.
Duh, right?
Yeah, she praised the OS. No bashing from users.
Just a quick study.
She mentioned her gripes like lack of multi-tasking. It's not that she or everyone else praised it. It's that Molly Wood's review was filled with inaccuracies

Geohot has just updated his simple blog mentioning that he will start his way to jailbreak iPhone 7, he may want to make Microsoft mad. I think this kind of jailbreak will be more simple than the one on Apple's iOS devices.

perhaps a more appropriate way to deal with jailbreakers
I'm going out to buy a Windows 7 phone
As usual, it's expected that Geohot will add a singificant progress and transformation on the Windows Phone 7 jailbreak scene. By this step we can say that Geohot is the first hacker who beats three giants like Apple, Sony and Microsoft. Stay tuned.
actually MS is totally cool with it, check out what brandon watson (director of WP7) tweeted at him.
welcome geohot!!!
Holy balls thats amazing! Go microsoft!
yeah first they turn a blind eye to us getting PVKs and even give them out to admitted HD2 users, now they're welcoming a famous iPhone hacker and offer him a free phone,
I'm starting to change my mind about MS if they keep this up.
Well, WP7 will sure need jailbrakers after first update.
For now, its cool.
They're as cool as Google with Android. Do whatever you want, but piracy.
For the most part I think MS did a great job in setting high-quality standards for their first gen phones and I'm very satisfied with my Focus. But the greedy power-nerd in me wishes the phones came with HDMI-output.
I'm a little confused as to why MS would leave this out actually. It is coming standard on a lot of high-end phones now. Unless they plan to use the Xbox 360 as an AirPlay-like streaming box (I don't know if you can do that as of now because I don't own one), how does MS expect to offer a competing video out feature?
I remember hearing a story about how MS was planning to introduce a USB-out feature and if they do that would be great because it would be cheaper than the ripoff third party HDMI docks. But I'm worried it won't be able to match up to HDMI's quality.
Anyway, I know this isn't a big deal and it shouldn't be at the top of the fixes/additions list for MS. But can you blame a guy who recently got a 50-inch? I want to use the damn thing for something besides football!
EDIT: I found the PocketNow article about USB A/V out. http://pocketnow.com/windows-phone/report-microsoft-bringing-microusb-a-v-out-to-windows-phone-7
they miss a standard IO port for using external addons hardware too

We are all over the WWW as a reference point
I love the part where they mention and actually encourage you to root your device and then mention that it voids you warranty but then also that you can unroot.
Props to ALL THE DEVS who have made everything we enjoy possible.
Xda will take over the world one day.

Nice: I have noticed xda being referenced in many online sites (like mobilecrunch) as wel as in the good old fashioned hardcopy magazines.
Probs to all the people making this site the place to visit for all mobile phone related tips & tricks, dev work and Q&A

Dell isn't on the list....wonder what that means....
They still haven't fix the only WP7 phone they released, maybe this isn't such a loss.
True, but I prefer the Dell set-up compared to the other phones (vertical slider phone, with AMOLED screen)....
the design from dell is good
but dell killed their own device. I have no sympathy for dell
But then again, Nokia isn't on there. So maybe don't read too much into it?

Nokia was on there, I watched it live. See that big empty space in the middle, there was a big Nokia logo appearing just there.

According to engadget it doesn't mean much. Only that while LG, Samsung, HTC and the three new manufactures have now more or less announced a new Windows Phone 7 (or at least promised to release one), Dell was not yet able to say they will.
Time will tell and Dell might be back or not, but I guess it's Nokia that will sell the majority of phones.
I know this is a long shot, a veeeerrrry long shot BUT, its still worth it.
Who has used WebOS? Who misses it? I know I do, and would love to see it running on my E4GT. Seeing as HP open sourced it and a team of developers started porting it over to android, I was wondering if any of our devs would be interested in giving it a shot??
Just trying to keep this bad boy alive and miss how awesome WebOS was and can't believe devs didn't back with apps.
I guess Palm and HP had a very poor marketing team. Anyway here's the link!

I've always been interested, but sadly I can't develop roms..
I believe something like this would require a custom built kernel specifically for WebOS. Which I don't see it happening.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Correct, and with us having no kernel devs (they are always the first to move on lol) it's not very likely.. I bet it would run better than any Palm/HP device ever ran it tho lol
