For the most part I think MS did a great job in setting high-quality standards for their first gen phones and I'm very satisfied with my Focus. But the greedy power-nerd in me wishes the phones came with HDMI-output.
I'm a little confused as to why MS would leave this out actually. It is coming standard on a lot of high-end phones now. Unless they plan to use the Xbox 360 as an AirPlay-like streaming box (I don't know if you can do that as of now because I don't own one), how does MS expect to offer a competing video out feature?
I remember hearing a story about how MS was planning to introduce a USB-out feature and if they do that would be great because it would be cheaper than the ripoff third party HDMI docks. But I'm worried it won't be able to match up to HDMI's quality.
Anyway, I know this isn't a big deal and it shouldn't be at the top of the fixes/additions list for MS. But can you blame a guy who recently got a 50-inch? I want to use the damn thing for something besides football!
EDIT: I found the PocketNow article about USB A/V out. http://pocketnow.com/windows-phone/report-microsoft-bringing-microusb-a-v-out-to-windows-phone-7
they miss a standard IO port for using external addons hardware too

Seems all the good audio synth apps have left the Windows Mobile platform. Does anyone know of some which work well on the Touch HD. Some can still be gotten to run but the resolution messes up the GUI unfortunately.
u look someone of this

sooooo, it's been a while... what's up with it? Any progress? Is it done yet? is it programmable or you just play with fixed sounds like in omniano or those iphone pianos?
Everyone is making pianos and drums and stuff, why not make a soft synth with wifi/activesynch/bt midi? Even if it's a port of an open source vst synth it'll be kick ass
in any case, i suggest everyone interested in music making on wm to try sunvox. It's resolution independent and so f*king brilliant
According to http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire...artphones-as-apple-closes-the-gap-on-android/ , WP7 sales in Q4 is about ≈ 1.4% total

Hmm, it's definitely not good...
They don't, but at the same time, keep in mind that the iPhone 4S came out in the previous 3 months, which is going to heavily skew the numbers.
After the next 3 months, with the new Nokia phones coming out, I think MS will see an uptick for sure.
Yeap no surprises there; I have a WP device my self and it runs perfect but when I can't transfer files via Bluetooth to some one who needs the ASAP or I can't freaking attach an audio file to mms what do you expect? Especially since this technologhy has been around since forever! Come on Why can't I add a simple wallpaper to my start screen? because MS says it takes away from the Metro UI? That has got to be the gayest **** I've ever heard. No one wants to use the stupid ass cloud for everything; granted it is good for extra storage and is excellent if your phone breaks down and you need your data back but not for everthing. Zune, don't get me started on Zune, the reason I got a WM device verses an iPhone is because of iTunes and now Windows pulls this B.S. where everything I do has to be done through Zune? This is MS own fault and they better wise up or they will loose.
Is this US or worldwide?
No feeding of the trolls please.
I found a very great Acessories! I think you like it too!

I smell spam.
Yep, definitely smells like spam around here.
You are kidding, right?
There is ONE reason to use a mobile phone as a camera, and that is ... its small, and you always have it with you. No matter how good the camera in the phone is, its not as good as a real camera.
Carrying arount that gigantic piece of equipment totally screws up the idea of mobility. And every photograph that wants to make high quality photos with a zoom lens will buy a real camera for that reason anyway.
Its like buying an electric car, and because of its limited range, installing a fuel engine and a tank.

Yep, and a realy amateurish one. Posting 3 minutes apart, posters from the same country, both new members. Spammers arent what they used to be anymore.
great!:good:
Shattered my One X's screen a while back and finally built up enough courage to replace it myself. When I took out the old LCD there's handwritten notes on the back, I'm assuming they didn't do this for all of them, so thought it was mildly interesting enough to post here.

It's chinese for "You got rickrolled" HAHAHA
They do this on production lines all the time. QC marker pens stuff. Some supervisors use the back of components (that customers will never see) to do quick mathematical sums.
I had writing on it, too. I can make a photo tomorrow
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
The dude who designed the Honda cbr fireblade used to (very occasionaly) sign his name and write things like "happy bikin!" behind the fairing of a random few on the line. A kind of Easter egg I suppose.
Happens all the time, search wiki for 'easter egg'. Though yours is probably just QC scribbles.
When I bought my Motorola Moto G I knew it has no sd-card slot but it comes with OTG compatibility. So I started to search good but not expensive solution to extend the phones memory. So my eyes stopped on Transcend JetFlash 380 USB OTG Flash Drive. The manufacturer strongly recommended to check the compatibility list, and I did. Happy that my phone will work with this pendrive I ordered it. How furious I was when it did not work. I downloaded the app made especially for this usb called "Transcend Elite". That didn't helped either. So I contacted the support of the Transcend firm about my problem. They answered and told to wait for solution. Today I had a hunch and rechecked the compatibility list and boy I'm glad that I took pdf version of the previous one. My phone silently without contacting me was took of the list. I am angry and going public with this problem here on XDA. The manufacturers can't deal with customers like that it's foul play and it's time to show the red card. Everything is in attachments pdf with dates and url to the site so anybody could not tell my that I talk nonsense.
