Atrix OEM Silicone Case - Atrix 4G Accessories

Searching for case I found what seems to be a genuine Motorola Atrix silicone case that replaces the battery door protecting the side, back and adds some edges to protect the screen. Do you think it's real moto case or some cheap chinese crap? By the illustration inside the case I judge it's the real deal, It looks like the one that was on the battery door. If you are using one please post some pictures.

UPDATE: I've looked around and found that the case is indeed a genuine moto case, but they shut down the production. Also the green one has better feel to it than the green one.

I have it...the silicone is cheap and flimsy. Some people like the case, I do not. Switched back to my commuter case after 1 day.

oem case
I have this case. I bought a few from cnn.cn and they came the other day. I'm pretty happy with it, not too sticky for slipping in and out of my pocket, and very little additional bulk. If anybody wants one, send me a message.

hi all
I want to buy the blue case... but it's hard to find it...
someone here can help me ?

bye and thanks if you can help me

I recently (2 weeks ago?) searched for the same case and was unable to find it. The .cn site ran out of stock and it's nowhere to be found on amazon. Seems like a limited amount was produced and now it's just gone...

hi
on ebay the seller "digital-home123" have 2 pieces in black/blue but not directly on ebay...
Big problem he want 25$/piece.... too much for me... I'll pass my turn, I love this case but not at this too high prize !!
Maybe the seller will be a nice guy and reduce the price.

CNN.CN has them.

Email them. They tend to be fairly responsive.

The only problem I hate about the silicon cases is that they stick to everything.
If I put it in my pocket it gets really sticky.
I prefer the TPU rubber cases. Otterbox cases are too bulky imo.

The oem does not stick.

So is there any place to still get this case? Does it replace the back cover or sit over it? I ask because the speaker grill on my back cover is destroyed and I want something to put over it.

poor protection
I had this case, and stopped using it. It had a nice feel to it (and fit all the docks!), but the silicone started "peeling" after a few months. The final straw was when I dropped it and shattered the screen. Granted, that may have happened with any case, but I had my doubts even before it happened - the silicone is just not very thick and doesn't seem like it would provide much protection.

I bought one of those ~1$ case from ebay, but didn't like it.
I think I'll just buy a new cover when current one get really too scratchy.

All things OEM ruggedized discussed here.

a lot of rave about this case and i must agree. minimalistic cases that don't add a lot of bulk are the way to go!
i'm definitely ordering one when i get mine. thanks for the pics. i can clearly see how high it raises in the front.
have you had any issue with the case scratching the back of your phone? or if it decreases signal/GPS? (see this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764406)
This case fits perfectly. I haven't noticed any difference with gps either, it wasnt working before the case and still isnt working. As for the case scratching the phone, I dont think that will happen because the case isnt hard enough to scratch and I still have the plastic on the back of my phone.

i have this case and it does fit well, i'm not a fan of the back, but alas this is really all we've got right now. i also noticed that i have scratches on the front bezel near the top and bottom of the phone. i think maybe dust or debris get trapped there and just start to rub. i dont think there is a way to fix it though. i had the same issue with cases and the metal bezel on my iphone.
What is this case made from, and how does it feel? Just curious

I think most people have found them at AT&T Stores, though they can be found online if you search hard enough.
See: hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761355
I picked up a body glove from Best Buy. I waited until they unboxed them and tied it before I went and checked out. Great fit, flexible but thick and offers decent protection. Not what you would get from a hard case, but one of the better gloves I have tried. 24 plus tax.
This is the case I am using until Otterbox releases something I like better. I am not too sure I need an otterbox but I have no issues with this case (body glove)
It fits just fine and offers enough protection for my needs.
I picked up the gel case from samsung's website that says galaxy s on the back, it is pricy at 30 bucks but it fits and looks awesome and has actual raised buttons which is great,i had an all black one but this is a sweet phone and I want it to look sweet, if you spent 200 or more to get a sweet phone spend 30 bucks and get the nicest case made that looks awesome as well, ya know what maybe it was 20 bucks can't remember

Ultra Thin 0.3mm thick case, works with official extended battery, pics inside.

I ordered one of these 0.3mm "thin" cases the other day and it arrived today. Initially it feels quite weird and paper like out of the packing but once on the phone it feels pretty good. It has about the same protection as the official mesh case and there is a small lip above the screen bezel that it wraps around so isn't going to pop off if dropped like the official case does.
It is matte textured so won't get finger marks or grease marks and also the bump in the speaker area is less pronounced than other cases so feels sleeker in the hand. It works perfect with the extended battery!
Yes it's very thin and I don't know how much it will protect against heavy impacts like the Walnutt bumper case (in the pictures) but the phone keeps its thinness with this and to the untrained eye it doesn't look like the phone is in a case at all. It is semi translucent so the Samsung logo from the battery cover shows through as well whch sort of adds some authenticity.

Does this case works with extended 2000mah battery ? And where did u get the second one case?
1: Perhaps you missed the bit in bold. Read post #1 again!
2: It is the Walnutt bumper case as discussed in the other thread on the first page of this forum.
Does this work with the Genuine Samsung Car Dock do you know?
Was wondering about this. I have one of them thin cases, and was thinking of getting a extended battery.
Youve solved my query!
Where's selling 2000mah batteries cheap in the UK.

I didnt missed it. U said its for extended battery, but not to which..But ok.And where can I get Walnutt bumper? I cant find it on ebay. And which one is better? Thx
i have already buy this on ebay , i wait for shipping
Me too. Can't wait - Looks great!...
On such a thin phone, a thick case feels so out of place....
Compared to the official Samsung case, do you find it more grippy?
Also, how do you find the alignment with the microphone holes?
It's not rubber so it's less grippy, even the Walnutt bumper case has more grip.
Ah damn. I'm just looking for the thinnest case possible to increase the grippiness of the phone! I've got the official case already.
Thanks.
EDIT: Ended up buying it anyway, $2.22 delivered .
bought one too from ebay for 2.28 delivered , nice find
same...
always follow robbies posts on ocuk forum, so i know its worth a punt
Going to sound like a stupid question, but,
What keyboard do you have in the picture?
Haha
I have one of these, bought it off eBay for 99p and I must say it feels very cheap because it is very cheap. This is ideal for just dust protection, the material is just a thin layer of sheeeet, however I wasn't expecting much from it, so you shouldn't either.
bought one. thanks!!

Opinion on cases?Silicone,TPU,hard,something else?

Hey there guys...i just ordered my s3 and i saw a few videos where the s3 screen breaks very easily!
I also read the silicone cases or the TPU ones provide excellent shock resistance so i'm thinking of buying one!
What do you think?Which case will provide more protection to my phones screen? (i'm only intrested on not breaking the screen, the scratches etc are lower priority...)
I also ordered an InvisibleShield not that it'll make much difference but i'm just sayin'...
For me.. Both!
There are some cases that has both soft (mostly tpu) and hard frames stacked together for better protection. I'm thinking getting SGP Neo Hybrid when it's released. I believe someone post this video somewhere. But, I couldn't find any image of it. I used it for my galaxy s2, and it was bomb.

Since I haven't met my 10 post count yet I can't link
I'm using one of the Rocks Sand series cases that I picked up locally for ~10 USD. Big fan of the texture, very easy to grip and it doesn't look bad at all with my pebble blue S3.
One of the biggest bonuses I think is that the headphone jack up top isn't obstructed as it was with some of the previous rubber cases I used with my S2. Headphones with right angle plugs had problems being inserted firmly.
I bought 3 ebay tpu cases for my galaxy s3 and they all have horrible fitment =(...stay away from them
Just got my first case. $5 and it feels like it. Very. Thin, has what appears to be decent grip on the side but hard to tell without the phone. I bought it for the kickstand but it feels pretty cheesy to say the least. It won't even hold itself straight up on its own. If it works well with the actual phone I'll take the time to update my feelings about it.

What case do you have?!

I'm currently using a standard black soft case but am looking for a change of pace.. What are you guys using? What works well for you?
Well, im using a pretty cheap one with kickstand which i really like. Found it on ebay at about USD$7.00. Its double layered, and protects the phone A LOT. Im also using a Zagg Screen Protector too. I want to keep my phone as close to new as possible.
Yeah i hear ya lol i got mine for cheap on ebay too, i have an iphone screen protector on LOL it fits because well... the ENTIRE iphone is the size of our screen *flex* but anyway

Consist of two parts
Has a rotating clip that can be converted to a stand
And the sliding parts that house the phone can be inserted in both sides if you want the screen to be inside and protected.
I bought it from local market ... Only 6$

Q&A or Accessories would have been the correct sub-forum for this thread, maybe a mod will move it for us.
I started with a OB Defender, moved to the Trident Kraken, and now I use the OB Commuter. I also have a skin that is made for a 3rd party extended battery, but I have never used the battery or skin.
OB and trident are so expensive lol i feel like any hard case would be fine.. i dont drop my phone lol and $50 is pretty crazy...
I have this case:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007K5H4YS/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00
Along with a white Fantom tempered glasss screen protector:
http://www.xgearlive.com/products/android/samsung/fantom
Love the combo; looks sweet, quite safe, and an unexpected side effect: the ladies dig it.
(sorry about the pic, my N7 is the only other camera I have at the moment...)

Well.. It depends. If you drop your phone right now and bust the screen you are going to spend way more fixing it. If you drop/scratch/ding your body/screen but dont break it then you are stuck looking at a flawed/ugly phone. With OB or Trident you are most likely not going to have these problems. I have dropped mine over and over but under the case is a flawless phone that looks like it just came out of the box. And under my ZAGG is a screen that has never been touched by a human finger. When I go to sell it, the price will reflect that.
Additionally the port covers are a must for me and are mostly only found on those cases. Just search for the threads on "wont charge / usb not working / etc". My old roommate had to send hers in for a replacement because of issues with the charging port.
You get what you pay for, for sure.
I use the Rearth Ringke Slim, and the Ringbo screen protector from the same company. The case is very slim and low profile, but probably doesn't offer the best protection from a major drop.

Luardi Slim Bumper (Best Bumper So Far)

For the past six months, I've been searching and waiting for the perfect bumper and I think I've finally found it. The other bumpers like Draco and Tedoori have button cutouts that kill the symmetry of the phone's lines. Bumpers like Spigen are plastic and just look terrible.
The one made by Luardi is slim and has nice curves that won't kill the S3's nice curves. I have yet to see someone review it here so :I will post one when I get it.
What do you guys think?

Looks great, but way to expensive
Wouldn't exactly say that's anywhere near "Way too expensive". Considering other aluminum bumpers like the Draco Design's one is nearly double the price....
Actually, it's on sale on eBay and you can pick it up for $40. Still pricey but not bad. Hope it's worth it.
Does anyone know things will work with the metal back covers that are on Amazon , if so I'll buy one.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Metal backs will distort NFC but phone signal is not really affected that much unless your normal signal is bad to begin with.
Looks nice, if it didn't have the grip parts I might consider it.
Overall doesn't seem expensive IMHO
Anyone received theirs yet?

So how is it? Any pictures?
i'm curious, too. Thinking about possibly getting one of these, or Luardi's leather wallet case... i'd prefer staying with something that doesn't increase the bulk of the phone, but also curious about how installing the phone in Luardi's aluminum bumpers goes.
Just ordered mine
Ordered mine from ebag through Amazon for $37. First time it came the case did not look anything like the picture. It was probably a knockoff. Called Ebag and they assured me it was probably mis-packaged my employee so I'm ordering another one.
The attached picture shows the one they sent me. Just a case with a cut out for the buttons.
Pictures
After some crazy Fedex routing, I finally got my bumper. At first, I glance, I was disappointed, because I got the same case as previously mentioned from eBags via Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Luardi-Aluminum-Bumper-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00ANWLUO0/). But then when I opened it up more, I realized that this was in fact the aluminum bumper, it just doesn't match the picture that Luardi / Amazon / eBags posted on their order page.
The case is more subdued than in the advertised pictures and the bumps along the size are less pronounced (I prefer that). The one thing they did design-wise was to make the top portion a thin plastic inset to hold the phone in the bumper. It seems to work, but makes the case feel cheaper. It could be that this design allows the bumper to be less bulky without additional securing closures. It looks pretty good, but it isn't as solid as I had hoped, it will creak and flex slightly when squeezed, particularly along the bottom where the plastic inset can be released.
I took some pictures and posted them on dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/agfy6zj9tk1prni/ceJKB08chh
Let me know if there are any other angles that you want me to take.
I am trying out the case to see whether I am going to keep it. I suspect that Amazon / eBags would still authorize the return since it clearly doesn't match what they are advertising.
Digging the finger grips
Looks cool. I wonder if it's equivalent to Draco bumpers
