CM7 Microphone Not Working - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I'm running CM7 nightly 55 (after a full wipe/reset) and the microphone only works intermittently. Sometimes when I make or answer a call people can hear me just fine, other times they don't hear me at all. I'm not talking about a headset mic, just the standard built in mic. Can anyone else confirm if this is a bug?

mic randomly stops working

hi there
im a new user to the rhodium phone
been using it for a few days now and ive noticed that when im on a call after a few mins into the call, the other person cannot hear me
has anyone else had this problem?
cheers
Mic comes and goes
Yes i had this problem with my Tytn2 and the TouchPro2.
Not sure why?
Is there a software tweak or cab we can use to fix this?
I noticed on the nexus one it only happens when noise cancelling is on. When I have a conversation or use voice actions. If I record a video though it works perfectly

[Q] In call microphone volume low

The microphone volume is very low on my dhd, people can barely hear me when I call them. The sound is also low when I use a voice recording app. When I plug in an external mic the sound is fine though.
I've been looking for a solution for this for a while, does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm running MIUI 1.5.20, but I had issues when I was using the stock ROM.
Yes i have this problem, often people complain they can't hear me any good.
However if i turn the phone with backside towards me they can hear fine so i guess it's a design fault that they place the microphone at the back, why?
Did anything ever come of this? It's just that I am experiencing the exact same issue

Very strange behavior from microphone - Works with tel, but not with video/speaker on

Hello Guys,
im owning my Gnex for a couple of months now,
last week it suddenly stopped recording/transmitting my voice with speaker on.
So everytime i choose my speaker for calling the other one doesn't hear me.
I tried to disable/enable mic, everything i could try.. no luck or success.
I also noticed the video camera is no longer recording voice.
Tried different roms, kernels, radios... all the same effect.
Also took out the battery for hours.
It seems the microphone itself is okay, but i dont know whats happening there.
Logcat showed NO issues.. :| someone got an idea?
Greetings
I know this may seem like an asinine suggestion, but did you check your sound settings? I was worried myself when my camera was not recording voice nor making any shutter sounds, but then I noticed that my multimedia volume in the sound/volume submenu was muted.
i triple checked all of my settings, did wipes, restores...all the magic i got.
no way out of this ****... just asked amazon for a rma now.
Not what you'll want to hear, but I've returned a gn once due to a inop camcorder mic.
Download a sound recorder that allows for you choose your mic input source and you'll find out pretty quickly if you have a hardware problem.

Just realized my mic is not working when trying to do voice to text or record.

Phone calls with auxillery

Hi xda,
I have an issue where during a phone call i hear brief moments of silence whilst the receiver hears beeping, this happens around every 15 seconds and the duration of silence lasts around 2 seconds, it takes a good 10 seconds for the call to hang up.
I've checked the head phone Jack it seems clean and can play back audio flawlessly.
Running Pokemon charmeleon rom with franco kernel
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

For me sometimes when the headset is connected and I answer a call, there's no sound for a good 10-15 seconds and I keep saying "hello" like a retard and then I can hear the caller.
There is some sort of problem with headset compatibility for sure. Yesterday I was using this voice assistant called Skyvi with the headset attached, and after removing the headset my phone's mic wouldn't work at all! I had to restart to get my phone's mic working.
What I'm saying is there's a problem with headset detection or the software that makes the sound switch from the handset to the headset imo.
Further testing proves that this only happens when dialling out, not when the call Is incoming

Damn strange! It has happened on incoming calls for me for sure.
There was this another "retarded" thing the handsfree did when I first got the phone, on pressing the button(twice) to change the music track playing, it called the last contacted person. I kid you not, I happened to call two people like that. But never happened after that day.
I have the exact same problem with my HOX, I'm thinking it's a hardware issue, because I have tried different kernels (Franco, faux & stock) and different versions of Revolution ROM by Mike... My phones serial number begins with HT23RW...
This is when I use the handset aka. The phone itself without bluetooth or headphones connected...

No sound or mic during phone calls

So I have an interesting problem. I have used cm10 stable and nightly and PAC to make phone calls. For some reason though when I make phone calls every now and then the other party cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. Rebooting does not solve this and the only way I can get calling to work again is to flash a new rom. I flashed the newest radio. Has this happend to anyone else or is this a hardware issue
