This is happening since I updated to 4.0 firm.

Don't worry it happens on all devices with new firmware, Sometimes it takes a while before all apps are available. Tweetcaster has only just appeared back on my market, and i updated last month

Just installed the new OpenDesire 4.0 and hoped a returning problem for me would go away by itself, but unfortunalety it didn't.
As some of you probably know, facebook for android is removed in OpenDesire, but when I try to reinstall it from market, it says "package file isn't probably signed", what does this mean, and what should I do to get facebook sync back?
Also, when i fake a provider with marketanabler to get access to paid apps, my market totally f's up. All downloads are pending at "downloading..." and never gets any further. I tried the fix about chaning my status @ Gtalk, but didnt do anything for me, any other solutions?
I had the same issue and got quite frustraded for a while there on Friday.
Suddenly, the issue went away. don't know what I did really.

I have downloaded the yahoomail app from the market a while ago and it was working fine. But since yesterday I am getting a mandatory update for the app from a non market source. That menu keeps popping up and if I cancel that menu the app shuts down. I am wary of installing the non market update because it is literally asking for every permission on the planet including making phone calls and sms, read contact data etc. I can't understand why a mail application needs to have permissions for making phone calls or sms etc.
Can anyone here confirm if they are getting the non market mandatory update for the market released yahoomail app. And see if this is a legitimate update as when downloaded it shows as if it is not from yahoo. The app is unusable nowand even after uninstalling and reinstalling from the market I still keep getting the pop-up menu to download the mandatory non market update which I am reluctant to do unless I am sure it is from yahoo.
The update is automatically popping up from mobiledl.zenfs.com as seen after downloading it and I can't use the yahoomail app now because of not wanting to install the non market mandatory update and is about 2.2mb in size
I have two HTC desire phones both unbranded handsets, unlocked, stock 2.2 Rom and have not rooted the phones and am getting the non market mandatory update on both the handsets when I try to open the official yahoomail app which I had downloaded from the market.

Thanks for the link. Looks like they have pulled the update file as I am no longer getting the update notice and can use the app again now.
Have a question for people here using 2.3.4 firmware and timescape, did facebook sync stop working for you too lately? I mean, in past few days?
I tried deleting data for every timescape related thing, but it still can't sync from facebook only, twitter works just fine. I like timescape widget a lot, too bad it stopped working
This is also being reported in the official Sony forums. Have you updated Facebook recently? It might have broken things...
Actually, I think there was a Facebook update few days ago, it might be related. Thanks, I did not thought of that! I really hope this is the case!
hey guys, am having serious problem from last 4-5 days. Apps on my galaxy n7100 are not working properly/completely when i use home wifi, i get below mentioned problems for specific apps:
playstore: check your connection and try again
facebook: error loading news feed, tap to retry
gmail: not syncing and even not updating , in other words not working
whatsapp: sometimes i get notifications for new messages/calls but sometimes not, and when i open the app itself i get the notifications
facebook messenger: unable to login, but once i login using any other wifi, now i get messages
similar things are with many other apps like pages manager, snapchat etc.
Hike is working fine! (indian messenger app)
i got this problem first time from facebook messenger, it wasn't loading new messages, then suddenly facebook stopped loading and finally play store and everything else.
i tried updating all apps, uninstalling and reintsalling these apps, uninstall and reinstall play store app completely [removed even factory version and used an olde backup i had on my pc to install it again] , but nothing worked!!!
is there any serious issue with android going on these days or what?
am using no proxy server nothing on my router, my PC and laptop are working fine over my home wifi, even many other apps are working on phone and internet is working, but the problem is with some of these apps. Any help is appreciated.

Start with restarting modem, then turn off sync and see if something changes.
There is also option to turn off wifi power saving in service menu (it was somewhere in forum).
Go as close to modem as possible.

no change :/
i already did modem resetting, restarting and even allocated dedicated IP for the android device. but nothing happens, though i found a small thing, when i restart modem, things work and i get push messages/notifications for a very small amount time say 4-5 seconds thats it!

i have K01N tablet , the problem is when i update my application it stop working ...
such as instagram and google chrome
i did reset factory several times but i still have same problem
for example when i update my google chrome the app will close instantly after open it
same problem in instagram. right now i'm just using old version of instagram and google chrome
what can i do to fix it ?
