Hi - so I bought an apple keyboard and it works, well, for the most part at least.
The lack of shortcuts (ctrl+v, etc) makes it very limited for productivity app.
Anyone knows if these could be configured, even manually?

I use a third-party Asian IME (input method editor) to display Asian characters.
This IME used to work really well with other phones, but with TP2, some of the symbols don't come out well.
For example, Fn+H comes out as "\", not ";" , and Fn+J comes out as "/" not ":". The latter problem is very annoying, because it basically prevents entering web address with the sliding keyboard.
When I raised this issue with the developer, they said the IME has worked with almost every PDA-phone, including Touch Pro, but the non-Microsoft standard keyboard layout of Touch Pro2 is keeping it from working properly and there is nothing they can do about it.
Is it true that the keyboard layout of TP2 does not conform to some kind of Microsoft standard?
If so, is there any way to fix it?
I've was talking to a friend of mines about keyboards without emojis and we remembered how BlackBerry's keyboard was awesome. We could make shortcuts for words and phrases. Emojis wasn't an issue. I was just wondered of anyone seen or know of a keyboard like that. I'm not sophisticated in making apps.

Not 100% certain this will do exactly what you want, but I've used it before and it was very customizable.

I have a problem finding a perfect (for me) keyboard.
I want a PC layout and shortcuts and permanent suggestions.
Google Keyboard is great, it has a PC layout and I can create shortcuts BUT suggestions (and hence shortcuts) aren't always available in every app, for instance logging in on a web site I have to type my e-mail address even though I have a shortcut for that.
Hacker's Keyboard is tremendous and I love it but doesn't appear to have shortcuts.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hey guys,
im a big fan of the xperia keyboard i believe everything suits my preference except for the text expansion/shortcut in the personal dictionary, i dunno how to activate it or make it work, i already keyed in so many shortcuts like, omw - on my way, but still if i type the shortcut, the word doesnt expand. i was using google keyboard but for lack of better dictionary and other function, i still love the xperia keyboard except this hurdle.
thanks in advance!
Did you find any solution for this issue? I'm facing it on my Xperia sp. It doesn't work for the Google keyboard as well on this phone. I even tried kika keyboard thinking that it'll work, but nope. Please help if you solved it.
I was wondering if there is a way to quickly change keyboards (i.e. without schlepping all the way into settings).
I remember my M7 had this before I lost it. An icon in the notifications settings showed which keyboard was used and allowed changing it. I ask because I primarily use two languages (English and Spanish) but occasionally need to use others and need to switch to another keyboard due to a variety of reasons (like possible better prediction, missing characters/accents, better bluetooth keyboard support) and I find that I really miss this ability on the M9.
Does anyone know how of a way to get this back or an alternative way of doing it quickly?
