Just put java sdk jdk in your search bar,
To install drivers when you connect in fastboot mode blue led, right click on computer in start menu, click on device manager when that opens you will
See s1 boot device, right click on that and choose browse to install from the download files of the driver package you download, then click ok to install. Once the drivers and sdk and jdk are installed on your pc it should then be able to communicate with your android phone. Without correct install your pc will not be able to communicate with your phone in fastboot mode,

You need GGSEMC drivers for green light - flash mode.
Then, flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126358
with FlashTool.
how do i get this driver? or install it?
Have you installed flashtool ?
IF yes you will have a folder called "drivers" inside the Flashtool folder!
Install the GGSETUP file. It contains ALL NEEDED DRIVERS!!!!

I had go back in recovery mode and I "Wipe" all the DATA, now there is no more operating system on my phone and i'm not able to install a new ROM and i can't even go thru my phone data via USB cauz my computer not recognize my Samsung Galaxy Nexus anymore...
Someone can help me I think I'm in big trouble right now...
This is the problem with toolkits. Things can go wrong and you don't know where it went wrong. See my signature for my thoughts.
As far as getting your phone working again. Follow efrants guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895 it has all the info you need to get up and running.

First of all, next time, do not use the toolkit or one-click-root methods. They have more chance of bricking your device than using fastboot commands.
Also, can I ask you which recovery you have right now? Is it clockworkmod or stock?
Ok thanks i try this right now... Hope it will work, i'm freaking out at the moment...
Ok, i'm in big big trouble.
The driver does't find my Device at all. I can't enter in my phone via USB from my PC, so i can't do anything....

Boot into the bootloader. Then install the driver.
Your phone should show up as Android 1.0 in your device manage on your PC. Update that.

Yes, I realize you can't do these things. I gave you the info to fix your problem in the second post.
You need to boot into the bootloader and flash the stock images with fastboot. I don't know how much clearer I can be.
Be patient with rooting, frustration will lead to mistakes.

Ordinarily, I don't recommend tool kits either, but in this case you quite frankly seem like the kind of fella that needs one. SO HERE IT IS. This is a different toolkit than you used before. Be sure to select the correct device first off(because this works with ALL Nexus devices not just one), then do the part entitled "Initial Setup". Do the FULL DRIVER INSTALLATION. It may be that you don't need to, but it will not hurt so do it anyway. After that, click on the "won't boot up" checkbox under "Flash Stock + Unroot" button, then click the button. At all times, read and follow directions. I used this toolkit once, now I do things manually. But you seem incapable. Not intended to be insulting, just a statement of your technical aptitude. Not everyone can do this stuff. So if you have tried EVERYTHING above and been unable to complete any of it correctly, then try this. It isn't one-click and requires some amount of effort on your part. My 11 year old nephew did it though. Good luck.

As El Daddy said, you are not reading the instructions. Your fastboot driver IS installed properly if you see "Samsung Galaxy Nexus BootLoader Interface". Follow the instructions step-by-step. You do NOT need to see anything in "My Computer". It seems like you are panicking, and not reading...

And let's not scare the guy: you CANNOT "brick" your device using a toolkit. There is a big difference between not being able to boot because of a bad flash (not a brick), and a device that cannot boot at all (i.e., a brick).
It seems like people are using the term brick to mean a lot of things other than what it was meant to mean: "bricked" means that you cannot boot your device without JTAG, or sending it in for repair, i.e., it's as useful as a brick.
Ok thank you everyone, sorry about my patience tonight...
Now ma Samsung Galaxy Nexus is on Jelly Bean 4.1.1 with SuperUser and all the stuff and i'm happy

So I was about to root my Xperia S and started reading a guide, it said that I would need to load some files into the phone using fastboot. After a while I figured out how to fastboot and managed to get the popup on my computer once, however, I didn't install it that time and now when I try to fastboot again I get the blue LED on my phone, my computer makes some noises indicating that something unusual have been conected, nothing happens and the phone shows the Sony logo.
Does anybody know how to fix the problem and get the popup on the computer to re apear.
I run a 64 bit windows 7 home premium.
Thanks.

Installed from a ZIP from recovery mode following this post:

Now when I try to do step 7 (flash kernel and Baseband) Using Flashtool, Im unable to enter to the mode; when the windows prompts me, I turn off the phone, press and hold Vol up connect the USB but nothing happens, only the Sony Logo and then the icon of charging battery, I also tried to turn off the phone while holding Power button + Vol up (at the same time) and get the 3 vibrations, but the same result when I connect, the logo and the charging animations/icon..( no LED of any color or anything)
Im using the latest Flashtool version (0.9.9.0) with the drivers intalled (even though Windows security constantly pestered me about not being able to identify the source and signture) on Windows 7 64 bits..
Thank you..

Don't be so mean. Have you ever got into despair when having a problem? Have you though that the forum name is not the most relevant one? By the way, where should a question like this be posted?!
TO answer the question... it is not easy so solve. You will need to clean your PC of all possible traces of old drivers. To do that, with the phone disconnected, go to Device Manager on PC (google if you don't know how). Then, remove any possible references to your phone using the information from here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff184583.aspx
After that, install Sony PC Sync software. Follow the steps. At the end, it should tell you that you should connect phone.
Everything should work now (your phone will be finally re-discovered).
Before you do that, also try to disable Debugging on the phone and set the PC connection to MTP.
Good Luck!

Correct drivers are not installed. Download the correct x64 drivers for fastboot. Now wen u connct your phone in fastboot. Just keep the device manager opened and right click on the fastboot device that pops up on the device manager. From there go for a manual device installation by doing have disk and pointing to the right winusb.inf file. Search the forum for this method and relax, your phone is not dead.

I guest reinstalling the firmware will fix that? but cant update
Hi, so I just bought a Xperia S and before doing anything thought I should set a Pattern Lock for security, so I did and now I cant remember the pattern... I bought the phone second hand and so have no guarantee or anything and need a way to get in.
I hadn't even put my Gmail details in yet so thats no use, I haven't installed any recovery or CWM and there is none on there as stock. And USB debugging is turned of...
Ive tried several things ive seen on here but its no use as I cannot use ADB without USB debugging.
Is there any way to get into the phone, past the pattern lock, even for just a second so I can turn on USB debugging, or is there another way to turn it on?
Or does anybody have any other solutions such as ways I can flash CWM onto the device without debugging. As it is a new phone for me I would obviously be happy to erase the data if necessary, I wonder if theres a way to completely erase and reinstall android?
Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated, thanks
Dude,
You could try booting into the stock recovery and doing a factory reset.
In theory it should work.

I don't believe there is a stock recovery... but if there is, as I see you have the same phone, how do I get to it?

Hi, the hard reset didnt work, but i'm keen to try the other idea but not sure where to get that FTF firmware from and will this work without USB debugging?
My Bad
Dude,
Sorry I forgot that there is no stock recovery, I havn't ran stock on my XS for a while.
You can try using SEUS to flash the current stock firmware, this will erase all data on the phone and be like it was out of the box.
Hope it helps

ok so the first step download ftf from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422053 then download flashtool from here http://www.flashtool.net/download.php and install it's drivers from it's DRIVER FOLDER and install adb driver(search on the net about it). then search the internet about flashing ftf using flashtool, if you need i will write the whole method. http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/fastboot-buttons in this page they told old you about gettting into the fastboot by pressing volume up button and plugging the usb at the sametime. then tell me what's wrong or it worked

There is no drivers folder in my download, its just the actual fastboot program, I guess the download is different in the mac version... when I plug into fastboot, nothing happens... fastboot continues to ask for a device to be plugged in. The phone does show the charging icon and the led comes on but only to show the phone is charging, just like if you plug it in at any other time... I don't know where would borrow a windows pc from... are there any other ways of doing this?

So.... I GIVE UP!
Is anybody interested in buying a Pattern Locked Xperia S? Im hoping to get a Z instead and so would love to sell this phone. Im sure somebody who knows their way around ADB and FlashTool and stuff could unlock it... And i'm talking really cheap, like £50? Could even use it spares and repairs? It means im losing a lot, but its better than nothing... Private Messege me an offer...
