Been using this with a new battery I just bought and I must say it works fantastically. I no longer charge my phone with the usb cord. I think in the long run using an external charger prolongs battery life as in my observation the battery while on the external charger doesn't heat up.

I have the same thing. Works great. Red light when charging, Green light when battery is fully charged.
Love it.
^ You should keep the lid open while charging, although it doesn't generate heat but it never hurts to have more air.
I love this charger too, just waiting on my spare battery!
A few questions please.
1. Would the new samsung 2000mah battery fit in this? I mean does it have a few millimeters of extra space to accomodate a thicker battery?
2. And would an S2 in an otterbox case or casemate tough case fit in the cradle?
Thanks!

It definitely has lots of space to accommodate a thicker battery.
The cradle only fits the phone with super thin cases or without case.
It really is such a nice accessory. Since I got it I never need to worry about battery life since I bring or charge the spare while I'm using the phone.

Hello everyone!
Has anyone heard of an 1800 battery for the TB that is/will be the same size as the stock battery? Something available now or coming out soon? Also, are 3rd party brands good/safe to use in my TB? (I've heard good things about some company that sounds like Seido or something...??).
Right now, the 1600mA one that's out just doesn't seem like that much of a jump, and I definitely DONT want the bulky 2750 one.
I figure with an 1800mA battery and once my TB is rooted (and I can dial down the CPU while it's sleeping/standy), I will start to get decent battery life out f it.
Do a search its been answered. I'd give you a link but I'm using my phone.

Yeah, so apparently, this precise question hasn't exactly been answered (maybe I'm missing it somewhere? If so, please link.) As the OP suggested, im not really into the 1600, especially with all the talk of the siedio's supposed overrating on their batteries. Has anyone heard any rumours? Reviews? Anything at all?

supposedly htc is working on some like they have for the inc and evo the 1800 mah which dont require a new back.
I hope this true. I would love a longer lasting battery that's slim.

Yeah I'm not too excited about getting a giant battery that will make my phone even bigger. Hopefully, HTC will release a slim 1800mAH battery.
Agreed I decided to go for 3 of the generic 1500mah fleabay batteries, but if an 1800mah was eventually available I'd be all over it.

Lol, it is a little tough, but I don't have any issues like others have been having. I just grip it with my right hand down near the kick stand and pop it off using my left thumbnail piece of cake to me. So maybe I have mutant tough nails or just a bit more rough with pulling the battery cover off

anker are known to be good batteries, but you should get the galaxy nexus battery that you can pick up from the verizon store. The OEM batteries have NFC capabilities the others do not. OEM should last longer too even though the mah are different.

Yup, and $25
Been on the VZ nexus extended battery for a month - wow it is great. Much better than I expected. Took off the label paper, trimmed off the plastic end caps to the battery height (with a razor blade). Left on the NFC antenna, but can get it thinner by cutting that off. My stock cover barely bulges. It's been $35 at Amazon (Samsung 2100 mah extended with cover) or at Verizon (lucked out when it was $25)
I just ordered the anker 2050 from ebay for 9.99 shipped.
I dont use nfc and our phones lack the secure element needed for g00gle wallet. I also wanted the back cover to fit correctly without having to modify the battery, and 50mha isnt a big difference.
Hands down nexus...

The better the system the more battery it Burns, I app pose that if the processors and memory were less consumptuous then maybe we would be better off. Honestly even if you are turning off certain process patterns or psych out the brain it won't help, the won't be such a thing as a perfect phone unless you built it yourself, but unless the boards and parts are sold to secure in sockets your out of luck.

should i get the extended or will this be good enough?

It hardly holds its charge and often doesn't fully charge overnight when I've woken up in the morning.
If this sounds like a dead battery to people, what I need to know is how do I go about finding a legitimate battery online?
Are the ones on these accessories shops online any good?
Help, please!

You totally helped. And, yes, I was hoping to get an extended battery as well I just can't have it be thick or else it won't fit in my case. I guess anything over 1400maH is fine. I hear the batteries by "Anker" are supposed to be the best? Is that true?

Just wanted to configrm - they are awesome indeed.
I've upgraded mine to a 1650mAh Mugen Power within the last week. It's new and the discharge curve is epic, especially compared to my stock battery that stared to bulge and hold about 8hrs worth of charge. This thing easily lasts me all day, so far. It will happily extend the life of my device as I upgrade to the Nexus 4 in the spring and pass this down to my mother.

I just recently shipped the anker battery 1550 mah. From what I see the battery is better than stock battery. I'm just curious, but how much hours are you guys getting with your battery ( from full charge to 2 %)?
Has anyone found any cases with a built in battery? There are some pretty good ones for the iPhone and was wondering if our phone had any.

There's a few on amazon. I ordered the chromo battery case. All the battery cases have bad reviews because of overheating and not lasting long. I can confirm both are correct. The case is suppose to hold a 2100 MAH charge, but with a full charge it last for about an hour of charging (more or less). NOT WORTH IT.

What he said. Work bought me one of the extended battery cases. Its crap for protection, external battery is stated to have 3200mA but I don't see it. I came from the iPhone 4 with a 2800mA mophie case. If mophie is releasing a case, I would hold out for that. If mophie is true to form, the case will provide good protection WITH a reliable external battery.

I'm looking for a higher capacity battery that will fit in my Otterbox Defender case for my SGH-T999.
My current battery is the stock 2100mha battery.
I would like one that is of any higher capacity, but will still fit in the battery compartment.
ZeroLemon puts out a great product. I own their largest extended battery for the GS3 and largest slim extended battery for the GS3.
Check out the slim extended battery here.
It's 2300mAh and fits just like the stock battery in the stock battery cover. But it lasts considerably longer than stock.

That aint bad for 20$. Two batteries and a charger (that I will never use)
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll keep em in mind. I'm still gonna attempt to find an extended life battery around 3000mAh+ with a rugged case that will fit it. I almost went for the Trident one, until I found out the battery in it is actually weaker than my stock one.
I just love the screen protector on my otterbox, I dont really want a case without one.
Well yeah, if you are not interested in NFC it's a very good deal for 20$
