I have a rooted nexus s 4g. I have it running miui 1.9.2 with matrix kernal v 6.0. On Aug 16th, I suddenly lost the ability to purchase any apps on marketplace with my bill to mobile option. Sprint says my account is great, after emailing both google and Android market, no one can tell me why I can not buy any apps. Hopefully any other nexus s 4g owner that is having the same problem who got it fixed can let me know

Try going to Settings, programs, manage apps and clear cache+ data for the market then try again
Also, just for future reference, questions go in the q&a section

Np thanks for the heads up. I have already cleared the cache multiple times

Did you wipe cache and data?
Couple questions:
What happens when you try to purchase? Does it force close? or give you an error message?
Are you running a custom themed version of the market?
This should go in the questions and answers section, btw.
Not development. Thread closed.

You need to be a bit meeting descriptive. Is the market apparently giving you error messages when you attempt to download an app? If so, what does it state? Also, you stated that you get "this icon" in the notification bar. Can you describe the icon? Be very in-depth, please so we can better assist you.

You probably have too many nandroid backups.

Integrate your updated apps into your rom using titanium backup. That saved me 60 mb.

Given that this is the OP's first post, he/she might not be rooted. If not, most of the suggestions here don't apply. Except the first one...delete stuff.

I'm trying to do this but the screen shows no progress even though I've been waiting for 20 minutes now. Should I force close titanium and try again?
Is anyone else having this issue in google play.
You scroll down as you look at apps.
You select one to look at it then go back to the app list.
Once back to the list you are started back at the top.
Pretty annoying if you are pretty far down.
Anyone know of a fix

It works like that for everyone. I have not seen a fix for it.

It will probably be fixed in a newer version, it is annoying but its no biggie

I have actually contacted Google about this. It happens when viewing the "My Apps" and is especially annoying in the "All" tab. It also happens in the "Top New Free" apps section. Google emailed me back and said they can't promise anything, but my concern had been forwarded to their developers. I really hope they fix this.
Good deal. Yeah it's not a huge deal but gets annoying when you are searching for apps and have to scroll through a couple hundred apps to get back to where you left off. Seems like it would be an easy fix for Google I wonder why they don't fix it.

It would be great if they fix it soon... and also give us the possibility to clean the chronology of the google play, i've an endless list of apps it's pretty useless...

Yes, now that you mention it the app history of every app you downloaded in the last 5 years is worse. I download and try a ton of free apps as well as paid. Most free apps are deleted within the day, so I have a gazillion apps in the my apps list

I agree these issues are annoying. I'll sign any petition!
Furthermore, they need to bring back a way of filtering purchased apps. All of our purchased apps should be in one convenient place.

I heard there was an apk called "play legend"that allows you to see all purchased apps, still haven't found + installed it yet though

Theres legacy play store by Paul O'brien on MoDaCo.
An update to the Playstore is being rolled out to address some of these issues. You can now remove apps from the all apps list and it appears to keep your place when you scroll.

This new Play Store is sweet! You can delete historical apps and it remembers your position when navigating backward!
I downloaded from the article link, cleared market data, pushed to system (rooted), and rebooted. Works great.

Hello Folks,
I am experiencing unusual problem with my Navagation Voice on Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean, Rooted and Unlocked.
I was in Chicago about a month back and since been back in my home state of CA. Now when I use my Navagation locally, I get the correct information on my direction list and on the map but for some reason the voice is still telling me to make a Left on State Route 45 in Illinois. I cant seem to resolve this....and its stuck on it
Please advice
Regards
What nav are you using did you clear the cache for it? Maybe uninstall and reinstall if the cache doesn't work.

I am using the the built in Navigation with the Blue Arrowhead icon that came preloaded with Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
So When I go into Settings, for it, it only gives me screen dimming option nothing to clear cache. Where do I go to clear cache?
Regards
Uninstall maps and reinstall it, i had the exact same issue and this fixed it.
You may think of moving to Illinois if none work... lol... just for fun

The OP says that he has a problem with his "navagation". He did not say divagation, or even navigation:laugh:

Settings (phone settings, not Nav settings) > apps > navigation (or ? maps, not with my phone atm) > clear data
You checked "Yes this is a question"
Guess where it belongs?

Does anyone have Google Wallet working on this phone and could provide pointers ?
I tried editing my build.prop to the Nexus 4 settings, and clearing all data, but it still doesn't show up in the market. I tried side-loading a few different versions into /system/app, but could not get one to work.
Just a bump--anyone figure this out? My wife just got an OG, and I might get one too, but there seems to be virtually no development on this beast yet.

Bump again? Also - hate the Q&A thread :/
I've been flashing ROMs for a while but have not been able to figure out how to back up my Google music so o don't lose it on a clean flash.
I'm thinking if I go to /data/data/com.Google.music/files and move it to my SD card that I could flash and move it back afterwards. Can someone confirm this for me?

As far as I can tell; anything you manually chose to save offline should get restored* when restoring app with data through Titanium. As for the regularly cached after playing, haven't seen a way.
-edit
*Automatically re downloads for offline use. Not quite "restored."

Yeah, I went 10gb over my 5gb plan because of re-download and not monitoring it close enough.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Yeah, wish there was a way to set it to download only on WiFi but also force it over mobile if one chose to. At least one option exists, even if it is a pain to manually switch when needed. Here's hoping for such a setting in a future update..

Whats the difference between clicking a Force mobile sync and Changing the Setting to sync on both anyway ?
Oh come on!
There's a thread about this on Q&A; didn't anybody notice that this thread is in the wrong section?

I meant that you have the ability to have it only download over WiFi so mobile data doesn't get used unexpectedly. Some apps have similar settings but include the ability to "force" the download on mobile. Presently, you can switch the settings on the fly to accomplish this, but it's not ideal. That's all I meant.
