Hey to NEO and ARC user
have u experience when u have a coming call
normally we will slide the bar to answer phone
however, did u experience u failed to slide it?
i do face it several time, on this situation
suspecting this is a bug from SE
never on my arc have I had that happen to me thank god .
I've experienced delayed answer screen. I sometimes have to wait up to 10 seconds for it to appear and to be able to answer. Sometimes I miss a call because of it :/

Same on my Arc... it happens when i has 2.3.2 -.181, 2.3.3 -145 and now when I got 2.3.3 -.368
If it happen to you... you can still answer the call... just press Power button, (phone go silent but still ringing) then press Menu button... and slide to answer
Works for me

Have this too, sometimes. I thought it was due to WAD which sometimes uses way too much CPU.
But the screen not comming off is really annoying! And I don't know why this happens.
I removed SPB Pocket Plus and did not experience this problem again - I think it's just coincidence, but still... You could try!
UPDATE
It seems to happens very very more often if I use the camera apps.

got the same problem .... but then I just keep trying to turn the screen on with the on/off button .... that always works after a few tries
Text msg wont wake up phone
Is this normal? when I receive a text msg, the phone doesnt wake up. My TyTN II woke up when a text msg came through
When I swapped from the iPhone to android, I really missed the button on the top of the phone to end calls. It was very convenient, I think.
I was therefore delighted to see that the desire had a button on top that I upgraded from my hero immediately (amongst other reasons of course!)
Problem is, when you press it while in a call, it just turns the screen off. Does anyone know if someone has developed a hack to end the call with the power button?

Download and flash the Defrost 0.9 ROM from richardtrip. In Accesibility in settings, you can then enable the end the call from power button
While froyo is cool, I'd prefer to do this in my current sense Rom.

Strange that it doesn't work when in-call. I know it (the power button) disconnects/hangs-up a call whilst ringing, because I often accidentally press it whilst pulling it out of my belt case and it hangs-up the incoming call. Grrrrrr
Whilst receiving an incoming call and the phone is ringing, if you press the power button it disconnects/hangs-up the call before you even get a chance to answer it. I often accidentally/unintentionally press it whilst pulling it out of my horizontal belt case! Grrrrrr.
Is there anyway to stop this occurring?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683902 should give you a good start. That's the file with all (most?) key mappings. Figure out what the function to reject calls is, and then remove/remap it from the power key.
Thanks, but I haven't rooted my phone.
Waiting for Froyo release to decide if I should do that.

All I can say is either root & get dirty, or be careful when you pull it out.
Mind if I ask why you don't wanna root?
It IS a big problem with the call reject via the power button.
I wrote HTC support regarding this and got the following answer:
Hi Jan, Thank you for contacting us regarding Desire. Unfortunately there is no option to disable the reject call feature using the Power button. We have not had any feedback regarding this yet, but if this becomes a general problem - as in customers complaining over this feature - we will pass it on to our technical department in order for them to possibly make a change / fix for the devise. I will pass oyur feedback on to my superior, and if we have a You are welcome to contact us again for further assistance.
So I guess that I can only recommend that you all write to HTC Support regarding the Power Button issue - both the reject and the immidiate power on when the device is powered off.
my phone is rooted htc pico. how can i do that.. having same problem >_<
I only noticed this problem within the last 4 months. I just haven't had time to investigate fully or post about it. I've searched the forums and Googled to no avail. So, hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Problem:
Whenever I dial out, just as I hit the dial button, the phone auto-switches the ringer mode to whatever is "next up". What I mean when I say "next up" is that if you were to physically hit the Volume Up button on the side of the phone, this is essentially what my phone is doing automatically when I hit dial.
So example, if my phone is currently on silent mode (i.e. if I hit the Volume Up button, it'll switch to Vibrate mode), and I try to call someone. Just as I hit dial, the phone places the call but also switches the phone to Vibrate mode. It does not switch the ringer mode when I hang up, it stays in Vibrate mode.
To further the example, if my phone is on Vibrate mode, and I try to call someone. As I hit the call button and the call is placed, the phone will change itself to Ring mode with the lowest volume.
I do not have any case on my phone and my dial button is no where near the volume buttons. Since I have noticed this problem, I've deliberately tried to ensure I hit the dial button without being anywhere near the volume buttons. So it isn't me accidentally hitting other buttons.
Is there a way to stop this? Why is my phone changing ringer mode when placing a call?
Any help would be appreciated!

So, I uninstalled it and you're right! It appears that fixed the issue! Thanks so much!
no problem glad to help and i heard of it a while back and i remembered so you might want to send AVG text support or the developer an email to say if they can fix the problem so you can install it again good luck happy flashing
I have a problem with One V. The 'Ring Key' which has to be slid upwards to unlock the phone is not functioning smoothly. It takes multiple efforts to unlock, which means when a phone call comes, by the time I fiddle and unlock the call is dead.
Another problem, the Red DECLINE and Green ACCEPT buttons to decline/accept phone calls are dead.
I was till now unlocking the phone by pulling the ring upward and activating/answering the call. Now it has become difficult to answer a call.
The phone is out of warranty. Is there any software solution I can look for? I tried WidgetLocker but it does not allow you to answer a call by unlocking.

Actually, I have MyOneV RC9.5 FX+ rom and that same problem happens to me quite often (several times per day). Phone starts ringing and when I try to slide unlock ring or either green or red phone symbol, touch doesn't seem to register anything. Only thing that works is switching the screen off with power button and switching it back on. And the phone works like nothing happened.

Yes, screen has one long crack that splits it in two pieces. However, until I installed that custom rom ~3 months ago i haven't had any problems with digitizer. My screen has been cracked for almost a year now and that would be the only problem with it.

When you get a call, instead of grabbing the ring and pulling it to the phone, try grabbing the phone (green or red) and pulling it to the ring... not sure if that'll work, but then you don't have to unlock Then answer, it just answers

Nope, whole screen is dead to the touch and so is the volume rocker. Only responsive key is the shut down key. I turn of the screen and turn it back on and everything works like nothing happened. One more thing, when i listen to music, and try to change song on the lock screen widget by pressing on screen buttons, they react like i have missed them and lock ring shakes. However if i press some 5 mm above them they react like they should, almost as if the screen isn't calibrated. that didn't happen on stock rom. And yeah during calls whole screen is dead to the touch, I tried pressing above those green and red phone symbol, but lock ring doesn't shake and that would mean it doesn't register a touch. Minor things really but they can be annoying

When you don't even bother to read at least the first page of the ROM thread, it is best for you to restore to a stock ROM or try other ROM... you'll save the headache.

No headaches man, I wouldn't be using it for 3 months if i wasn't satisfied with it and satisfied I am. I did read on the latest update (from march 2013) that RC9.5 FX+ has all the previous fixes included (for example my Bluetooth works fine) so i didn't bother reading on. Anyway, my fault.

Touchscreen has no obvious damage, but the stock Android buttons stopped working a while back (I have an app which replaces) and this might be connected with the above issue.
