Hello, i have one piece htc wildfire which is network locked...can anyone tell me how to unlock it?
create goldcard and flash with any wwe rom you want
Hey,
I got an unlock code off of htcsimunlocknow.com but I am not sure how to enter it into my phone. It has been flashed with CM6 RC2 and it won't ask for any sort of sim unlock code even if I put an invalid sim into the phone. I know the phone is locked with the Telstra for sure!!
So if anybody knows how to enter the unlock code I would be able to say how reliable that site is!!
EDIT: THANK GOD. I had a nandroid backup of the original rom that came with the phone so I just flashed back to that. Inserted the invalid sim after the flash and it asked for the unlock code which I entered and IT WORKED!!
Also, the site i mentioned has a live chat and the fella helping me was so patient as it took my about 30mins for me to actually pay as I was stuffing around withy my paypal and he got the unlock sent to my email about 10mins after the payment went through! I'm not sure if flashing back to cm6 will make the phone locked to one network again though :/

gold cards are fairly easy to make all you need is a spear sd card (doesnt have to be very big) heres a guide: http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/
As far as I know, with a goldcard you can root and debrand your phone, but not sim-unlock it.
If it is possible to remove the sim-lock using a goldcard, please explain how.
Confirmation
I confirm, I just spent the night flashing my new wildfire to simunlock it, the flashing finally worked but it is still sim locked !!!
Really very surprising, it means the simlock info is stored somewhere which was not affected by the flashing, which is quite astounding.
If you have any info about what to delete for that...
I unlocked my wildfire for 25 euro on the web. I sent my IMEI and in about 2 hours they sent the unlock code and it worked perfectly.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Who is your provider?? you can try unlock code from your provider and get your HTC wildfire unlocked..if not you can get it from online provider..just make a try with Prounlocking and get unlock code for your mobile and get it unlocked..
Go to a phone unlocking shop. I got one done for £15 in the uk. Or you could ask about and see if you know anyone with a xtc clip. As that will s-off your device and remove sim lock. Good luck
Also sim lock stuff is stored in with the hboot and radio and stuff.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
I found a code for $9 at Nck Codes. It wouldn't work with CM7, has to put a stock ROM on the phone to unlock then flash CM7 again.
Hello great minds at xda,
My friend too has a desire...as his phone is rebooting frequently and it's back panel is getting hot he wants to send it to service center...No issues with this
Problem----->He bought a desire from Grey market(it is generally a place in India where all sort of imported stuff which is not released officially in India is available) But no worries as phone is under warranty...So we want to unroot the phone..I tried using WWE RUU(2.2) and HTC Asia(2.1) RUU but it's not working..I get error.
The intresting thing is the boot screen animation says Virgin mobile..So I "think" that the original rom must be of virgin mobile BUT when we bought phone,it was already unlocked i.e any sim can be inserted
So if I flash the phone with Virgin mobile RUU(2.1) will it be sim locked again and do I have to purchase unlock code again???
People please reply urgently...
Current roM---Aurex Tsense8.4
Hboot 0.83
S-ON
Also if I downgrade, will there be some slcd bricking isssue???
I guess the error would be to do with the CID? Would of helped that you put the error. If you get CID error then just make a Goldcard and run the RUU again. It shouldn't sim lock once you've unlocked it.

And even if it did sim-lock it, their is a sim unlock utility on the desire thread
But Meaple is correct
My question is very simple:
I have been given a DHD to upgrade for a friend, I've done loads of Sony Ericsson phones, but this DHD is being a bit tricky.
I have flashed new firmware, blah blah blah, but.....
The phone seems locked to T-Mobile or Virgin, and my friend wants to use an Ornage sim in it, is there any way to remove this lock, for free??
I used "The Advanced Ace Hack Kit" to do everything, and on that is says "SIM FREE" but it doesnt seem to be, actually, sim free.
Any help on this would be great, I've put nearly 10 hours into this bloody phone now (usually do SE phones in under 2, lol) and I really don;t wanna be putting too much more time into it, or having to pay to get it unlocked by someone else.
This will also help me for the future of upgrading/hacking phones for friends so many MANY thanx is given in advance

Yeah, followed all the instructions to the letter
If you used the hack kit and succeeded you are sim unlocked.one caveat though not all carriers and or sim cards play nice. On a different phone my sisters tmo sim wouldn't work but my brothers tmo sim would. So maybe try a different sim card if possible
Also you are putting back on the battery cover right? It needed for the antenna
OOPS!!
Made a bit of a boo-boo in my first post, I was trying MY Orange sim in it, and it wouldn't work with that, my friend put his girl friends "3" sim into it, and it still didnt work, the only sim he can get anything from (meaning bars of connection) is his old Virgin sim.
When I restarted it the first time after flashing it. it came up saying about select network, and it gave me 4 options, T-Mobile, Virgin, some IKEA Mobile network, and one other that I can't remember, so could it be something to do with the rom/firmware I flashed??

Yeah mate, everything is going back together properly
first one check your bootloader How?
1) Close your phone. ( not fast boot)
2) press same time Vol (-) and power key
3) Check your S-ON or S-OFF
4) If your bootloader S-OFF great Then download this files
http://hotfile.com/dl/141545757/adab954/adb.rar.html
5) Unzip this folder. And run a commend window in your pc via start>run
6)open adb folder. ( For example C:\.... cd adb)
7) Connect your phone while bootloader mode and change mode Fastboot on your phone
8) follow this comment pc
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader (Wait for it to reboot the bootloader)
fastboot getvar cid" [it should confirm your CID is 11111111]
9) if everything is ok. Your phone sim free.

Thank u so much for that bit of advice, ran it and got this back:

C:\Users\3Sixty\Downloads\adb>fastboot oem writecid 11111111
... INFO[ERR] Command error !!!
OKAY [ 0.006s]
finished. total time: 0.006s
C:\Users\3Sixty\Downloads\adb>fastboot reboot-bootloader
rebooting into bootloader... OKAY [ 0.222s]
finished. total time: 0.222s
C:\Users\3Sixty\Downloads\adb>fastboot getvar cid"
cid: 11111111
finished. total time: 0.001s
HOWEVER.........
The phone STILL wont pick up any mobile networks =/
I have no idea what could be causing this, but having read some stuff, could it be an issue with the radio?
Super CID (1111111) is not a sim_unlock tool . It's used to flash any rom(ruu) to the device regardless of the carrier . Can you please provide more info about your device
software version,hboot, radio version , s-off >? .

Anything else u need to know?
Seen a thing about flashing a new radio, but it says u need ENG Hboot, and I don't seem to have that =/
P.S. I now have a 3 sim card to test with, so fingers crossed I can get this sorted soon, there is a lap top coming my way if i can lol
Some one please help me out, this is REALLY annoying me now, I'm sure it should have been something so simple too.
Like I said if earlier if you used the hack kit you are sim unlocked. But if you want to verify manually follow these commands

everything on that page was total gobbledigook to me
I know I have SuperCID as it says 11111111
I just have no idea how to actually do what it says, do I do like necaticetinkaya said and use the adb folder, then run the commands on that page, or is there something different I need to use =/ don;t like feeling like a n00b
ok, I managed it, and it says it is totally sim unlocked =/
now I am totally stuck, seeing as the phone says the "your SIM does not allow a connection to this network" even when it is a 3 sim card and i am selecting 3 from the network operators list =/
some one must have come across this problem somewhere??
from ur info it looks like its a stock rooted rom, maybe try flash a custom rom. if you want the closest thing to the stock rom try flashing ARHD 6.3.1 via clockworkmod
ARHD rom is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040
Tho any carrier should work when you sim unlock it with CID 111... using stock rooted rom.
if all fails like start from the beginning again. should take only 45 mins
Downgrade to stock 1.32, use visionary and unlock using the one-click tool
both from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537
then do a radio ENG s-off
here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855403
install CWM and flash custom rom RCMIX3D or ARHD
update radio to latest via "fastboot flash radio radio.img" command
i flashed a custom rom straight away on my m8s phone and tried a different sim on it and it worked straight away.
or u could ask the carrier to unlock it - idk if u have to pay ur carrier but for me in OZ its free to unlock phones from any mainstream carrier in any plans.

Thank u so much for the reply.
I tried the rom, with the super wipe, and now FINALLY have ENG S-OFF, but, it STILL wont accept the sim I have ordered 2 new 3 sims to test in it, and when I get home from work I am going to do like u said, and start from scratch again, and keep my fingers crossed!!

First off, supercid only means you can flash whatever ROM on the phone regardless of the carrier. Before you turn the phone on put in the sim card already used with it. When in setup your phone menu, normally it should only read one network, the one linked to the sim you put in. Select NOTHING and press next. Cimplete the setup. Turn the phone off and remove the sim, replace it with another one. Turn the phone on. It should automatically pick up the network after pin input.

This could be slightly tricky, as I was given it with no sim card in it, i bought the 3 sim for testing, and its been wiped and flashed so many times now i have no idea what to do, lmao.
If I return TOTALLY to stock, start fresh, would this still work?
Is there any way to totally TOTALLY wipe EVERYTHING and start again, as if the phone had just been built and I was putting the first ever OS onto it?? lol.
Have you installed a custom from? Like cyanogenmod?

hi
I have a desire which I have rooted and S-OFF 'd and also put 4ext recovery and alpha-rev hboot
do I need to perform more shenanigans to sim unlock? or is that covered by S-OFF ?
thanks
nat
s-off is just security off, it has no effect on ur sim.
if u search Desire Android Development theres a tool there that can unlock ur sim card. think its called "HTC Desire sim unlock" or something like that.
but for flashing roms etc, it doesnt matter if ur sim is unlocked or not.
Sent from my HTC Desire
i think its best to unlock your sim you never know when you might need to put someone elses sim in your phone & if you've gone to all the trouble of rooting it you might as well unlock the sim to then its completly under your control & its not hard lol
Hello.
Im trying to SIM Unlock a friends One M8. I've done everything i believe i need to be able to sim unlock it using this guide:
http://www.sieempi.eu/blog/2011/09/22/universal-sim-unlock-for-s-offed-htc-devices-536
And this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708567
I've gotten S-off, super cid, and installed a recovery. But when following the guide in the first link and tapping Sim-lock in the hboot menu i get the messages as you can see in the screenshot ( where you can also see im s-off and with super cid), pressing Vol up seems to do something and reboot the phone, but the device still seems sim locked, as it is showing a "Limited service" when other branded sim cards have been inserted.
Can some of you guys help me out, from what i might have missed ?
EDIT: I figured out that if i downgraded my HBOOT to 3.16 it seems that the sim unlock is partially removed. I now get signal, and data working, but when trying to make any calls i get a "OUT OF SERVICE AREA" message.
Still struggling with this. I've heard that its dependent on my H-boot version, but i'm not sure if mine is the right version or not
OUT OF SERVICE AREA message when trying to call
Hello
Im having some trouble with a mates M8. When he tries to make any calls, he gets a OUT OF SERVICE AREA message and the call is disconnected. If i try to call him, it reaches voicemail. Data on his phone is working fine, and he has strong signal.
Reboot has been tried as well as a factory reset. He is running on stock rom, but the device has S-OFF, and unlocked boot loader.
Can you help us ?

Try downgrading all the firmware files (not just hboot) and even an old ROM; as the radio in particular may be hindering the SIM unlock.
But also be aware that playing with hboot and radio is slightly risky. One of the few ways to really brick the phone.

I have installed a bundle through hboot with a 0P6BIMG.zip file.. This seems to have downgraded everything to the oldest firmware. It is running 1.54 now with Android 4.4.2 and a baseband version of 1.16. Still no luck

Ahh, too bad. I know HTC has made multiple changes over time (including hardware changes) to plug the firewater s-off exploit. Maybe they made some hardware change to plug the SIM unlock method as well?
