Going to pull the trigger at the end of the week on this one. Only other alternatives are a few Hong Kong suppliers, random Chinese sellers by Google (brrr...) or a particularly overpriced company in the UK selling on eBay.

That's the screen of the SGS 1
Not S2
You're not wrong. This is why I don't let my wife email me links for replacement screens.
Nina tells me that she'll find it cheaper than the prices I have been finding. Oh no says I.
If you want a job doing properly....
Thanks Peter.

Sorry for starting yet another thread on this but i finally got around to buying one and it was very cheap, in fact the postage from Hong Kong to Ireland would probably be more than what i paid for it, has anyone purchased from this seller before on eBay, looks fine from the feedback but unless they are making these jigs for pretty much nothing im wondering how they can be making any profit?

mass production man.. don't think the chinese ones are backyard home jobs anymore... The one I got was definitely not handmade, very good quality
i got one too from ebay...very good quality and definitely not hand made.....it was worth the purchase
Cheers guys the sellers feedback is very good so that is always a good sign and for the princely sum of €1.46 you can't go wrong.
I got one from the very same seller last week, off ebay.co.uk. It took about 8 days after shipping to get to southern England. It's definitely not handmade, and it works. As you say, you can't go wrong at that price.
I have buyed this one - http://cgi.ebay.at/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280748150971 - it works als with 2.3.5 (KI8)

8 days is pretty good coming from Hong Kong i was thinking it would take a minimum of 2 weeks,i assume it'll take similar to here given our countries are beside each other.

I would think so. I guess it might go via London rather than direct to Dublin, but that shouldn't add more than a day. Also depends if Irish Customs take an interest in it - I don't think mine was opened by UK Customs, but when they do inspect something it adds a bit of delay in my experience. I think you'd have to be a bit unlucky for that to happen though.
Hi guys,
I'm looking at buying a Galaxy Nexus sim free soon and was wondering if anyone knew of any deals around now.
At the minute I have found the cheapest to be Play.com at £340.
Using a website called TopCashBack I am able to get 4.04% back on my purchase which would make the total cost of the phone a little over £326.
Although I have found better deals on eBay and Amazon merchants, a lot of these seem to ship from Hong Kong which is something that I would like to avoid at all costs.
Thanks for any replies or help with this matter.
Mike.

That looks like a bargain off of play.com for a new UK phone from a reputable seller. I just got mine last week and ended up buying a used one off ebay for £220. I didn't see any that were new from the UK that would beat £326 when I was looking. The £330 ones off of amazon marketplace seem to be asian devices.

I have seen their website before but don't like the fact that they operate from Hong Kong.
Although their prices are cheaper I have read enough reviews to make me order from Play.com
Thanks for the suggestion though

The amazon.de offer was more like £300 after delivery costs and you have the disadvantage of dealing with a foreign retailer (the UK site won't support the purchase).
I am trying to find a Samsung OEM Galaxy Nexus i9250 Black Full LCD Display with Touch Screen
Digitizer Assembly. I see several "compatible" ones on Ebay (not Super Amoled), but I cannot find
a genuine Samsung OEM digitizer with the exception of a couple of Chinese sites that I am not sure
I could trust. I contacted Samsung and they advised me that they do not sell parts to consumers.
Has anyone tried any of the digitizers for sale on Ebay?
I bought one from eBay couple of months ago to replace my wife's broken screen after i was quoted 300$ from local shops. I got it for 180$ and replace it myself. Have no problems with it since then, it actually looks better than my Galaxy Nexus that has the original one, much better colors.

Thanks for the feedback. I had seen some comments on other message boards where a couple of people who had
used digitizers bought on ebay were not pleased with the display. I am happy to hear of your positive experience,
so I may take a second look at buying one off Ebay, if I am unable to locate a Samsung OEM digitizer. Who was the
seller on Ebay that you purchased from?
Samsung replaced my screen for $191.60 with free shipping on the way back.
Once they received it, they gave it to ups in 4 business days.

I did contact Samsung, but my Galaxy Nexus is a UK GSM phone that I purchased from Expansys USA. Samsung USA will not support or repair my phone in any way. I then contaced Samsung in the UK and they advised me that they would not repair my phone because I do not live in the UK. I contacted Expansys USA to see if they could send the phone to Samsung UK for repair on my behalf, and they said the charge would be between $200.00 and $300.00. I thought it was odd that he quoted me an estimated cost with that wide of a range. The Expansys representative did not seem very interested in my problem.
I was anxious to get my Galaxy Nexus when it was first released, and that is why I purchased it from Expansys USA. I see now why some people cautioned me about buying from importers. I will never buy another phone from an importer.
Just checked over my device and some you tube video posts.. a few things.
I got the P605 from ATGSM.com.
The box was sealed with sticker and all.
Inside the box there were no replacement stylus tips (as seen in all the you tube reviews)
Also the box does not look like any of the boxes i see in the reviews. I take it that the version they shipped me is originally the Hong Kong.
There were no specs on the box.
Did I get a fake...a clone....... What do I do now. I can post a pic of the box if you need to see it.
I need some serious help. I paid over $700 for this device. I just want to make sure its the real deal. Especially seeing how there are so many fakes out there. Please help.

Your box is not the same as the one in these video's, so I see what you are talking about. Besides the extra tips was anything else missing or different is your box? Your tamper sticker looks like it was placed over another one, what do you think when you look at it?
Can you post more photo's like side label and front of your box.

I bought a P605 via Negri Electronics a couple of weeks ago, and it was in an identical box to the one in your picture. My box also didn't have any spare stylus tips. Also had a Hongkong style adapter, which Negri provided a US adapter in the outer package.
I suppose the HK version just doesn't come with spare tips?
It seems real to me.

HK version is SM-P6050ZWETGY and you can see it by download Phone Info from playstore.
One thing is, u must choose HK, first time start the tab, or u will miss out 900HK dollar worth contents gifts, well if u want them and there were no special really. http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consum...e-tablet/SM-P6050ZWETGY?tabname=content-gifts
edit:
Turn off Power Saving mode while running benchmarks and u will get higher scores.

I bought my N-8000 and SM-P601 from Negri and had no issues. The only problems I heard regarding the N3 and Negri was that some carrier devices they sold, mostly T-Mobile, that had their IMEI's reported stolen after people received them and started using them. Since Negri doesn't build devices and most of what they sell is grey market and imported from other countries they are kind of at the mercy of their suppliers. As far as I know they stood behind the devices with bad IMEI's and replaced or refunded them. If you're in the U.S. and buying a SM-P601/5, no matter who you're buying it from, you're taking a chance as to its origins, condition, and country of sale (which can't be the U.S. because neither is sold here). And know that none of them have a Samsung warranty because they're grey market. Negri, Expansys, and NewEgg are the biggest sellers of Samsung grey market devices in the U.S. and I've purchased from all three. My experiences have been fine but I've heard complaints (some horror stories) on all three. With grey market goods there's no such thing as Best Buy. And Amazon doesn't count; all their unlocked devices are sold via marketplace sellers.

They were selling used as new
They were selling stolen as new
They were selling phones with the seals broken that were still locked as unlocked and new
They were selling Phones that were rooted as new
They were selling Phones that were already Knox tripped as new
This is just a small list of the things they pulled
If you read the TMO Note 3 thread thread, I don't know how you would do business with them, absolutely despicable.

I'd read the thread before I bought my P-601 from them. All their Samsung HSPA devices come from the Samsung dealer in Trinidad. They had the P601 before anyone else reselling them in the U.S. did and it arrived in its shrink wrap and was perfect. The shrink wrapped Trinidadian N-8000 I got last year arrived with a bad display. Negri paid return shipping and overnighted me a new one (which was perfect). I asked where their LTE P-605's came from and they said Asia. I personally am not interested in any Asian-sourced imports because the s/w and Hub access are funky when used in the U.S. Software wise, Trinidad and Latin America are the most compatible. That's why I got a P-601. When people ask me where to buy Samsung grey market devices I mention the three company's above. I share my experiences (and the horror stories, lack of warranty, and other risks) and tell them to avoid PayPal (Amazon Payments is an option with Negri) and use a "customer friendly" credit card like Amex. I'm sorry some people got burned over the N3 but it doesn't change my positive experiences.
Same problem but got the solution.

Yep, lowest $96something. There was one for $94omething but they sold quick... Ended up getting mine for $975 or thereabout.
I have a brand new one that I haven't even taken out of the box. I'm about to send it back to Samsung. Got all caught up in the pre-order hype, but finally decided it was too big.
