Hello all.
I am stupid I know. But I installed the evil nxsense HD v.0.9 on my HTC desire, didn't know it was for nexus.
So now my phone is *Edit*, I can only enter the Hboot and recovery menu, but cant restore my backup. I can also mount to usb so I can connect it to my computer.
Is there any hope, and what can i do?????
Drmalle
Boot into fastboot and flash an oficial ruu...u will need to re-root after that.
Thanks cris you just gave me hope
How will I know which ruuu rom to use, I google it, and found ALOT.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667[/url]
found some here, any of them?
Does anyone know where to get the official htc desire ruu rom in zip. I can only find RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8_Radio_32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20_release_140022_signed, and that can only work if your phone is alive..
I need the rom you can flash in recovery???
Drmalle
Boot into fastboot on phone. Run ruu on windows (with phone attached to USB)
OR
Download this:
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.zip
Rename it PB99IMG and copy it to your sd card. Then just boot the phone into HBOOT (turn on whilst holding volume down) and follow the instructions
I ran the RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE in windows, and now the phone works.
So thank you everybody who helped.
BUT it cant find the sd card now, it says insert sd card. how do i fix that?
Drmalle
Take it out of the phone, format it in Windows (assuming you have a card reader and a micro to SD card adapter), put it back in phone and see if it works.
If not, it may be corrupt
Well i don't have that, can i just buy a new one and insert? or is there and other way.
Buying a new one is the quick way, but then again you could just buy/borrow a micro sd to sd adapter and use a PC with a card reader in it...
Ok thanks, im on my to my Friend
Who has a card reader, so hope it will work

Hello everyone.
I've got a really big problem with my HTC Desire.
I installed the following radio: 32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14 and ever since my device has gone to shi*...
As I've mentioned above, 3 big issues/problems have now arised:
- My device no longer recognizes the SD card. Neither in the operation system nor in recovery. I've tried both my SD cards, both of which used to work fine with my phone, and currently DO work fine with my PC.
- USB link does not work anymore. neither in OS nor recovry. I have no communication between my device and PC.
- I have no signal, aside from the occasional emergency calls signal. The device does not connect the phone company.
I will mention though, that whenever I perform a factory reset, and the phone loads the OS, for about 5-10 seconds I have a signal and the phone is connected to the phone company. If I do nothing, I lose the signal and never get it again.
If I make it to place a call however, I will keep having signal until that call has ended.
So as you can see I'm in a very difficult situation here...
* I cannot install other roms as my phone does not have access to the SD card.
* I cannot write commands to the device via adb shell as I have no USB communicaion between my device and my PC (and I have tried my wife's laptop as well)
* I cannot use my phone's basic features! (making calls, messaging, etc).
If it helps, a bit of phone background:
I'm rather new to the whole Android world. especially when it comes to messing about with advanced features.
What I have done with my phone is:
- Rooted it. I can't remember which method I used, but it included something called "unrevoked3" if I'm not mistaken. I could probably find out the details if neccessary.
- Installed clockworkmod recovery.
- Tried numerous times unsuccessfully to install different versions of apps2sd.
- Successfully installed Cyanogen 6.0.2 mod.
- Installed the radio mentioned above which fuc*ed up my phone.
I need the help of the experts in here urgently as I have not been able to use my phone in 2 days..!
Thanks in advance!
Liran
Can anyone help?
Since you claim that all of this started when you flashed the radio:
1. First try to wipe the Dalvik cache (boot into recovery, choose "advanced" then "clear Dalvik cache" in ClockworkMod). It might not help.. but if it does, it is by far the easiest solution.
2. If that doesn't work, do a factory reset. I know it sucks having to reinstall the apps, but it usually helps with weird problems like these.
3. If that doesn't work, flash a new radio (I suggest using a different version from the file you used, just to be certain). Remember to do a factory reset and clear the cache after you've flashed the radio.
4. If it doesn't work after that, please flash another ROM (again, to make sure that there were no errors in the ROM file you flashed) and .. you guessed it.. factory reset and cache wipe again.
And when all of that doesn't work.. panick and post here again.
Good luck.
Thanks for the reply

1. Tried that already.
2. Done that more than a few times already.
3. and 4. I can't do any flashing as I don't have SD card access on my phone.
Any other ideas?
So you have no SD card access from the bootloader either. I'm no expert, but there are some things you can try without running the risk of messing things up further.
If you can access the SD card from the recovery then you could put the ROM or radio images on the card from the PC and then flash them from recovery.
If the SD card doesn't work in recovery either then it might be a different problem altogether (different software, after all). Is there anything in the device or the SD card that might adversely affect contact between the SD card and the phone? Dirt in/on connectors, erosion from wear etc?
Maybe when you tried APP2SD, someone gave you A2SD instructions (which requires an ext3fs which some kernels can't read). If you can't read the SD card from recovery.. can you reformat if from there? (Please remember to back up the files on the SD card before you try this). I was unable to access my SD card after I'd repartitioned and reformatted it (maybe because I used vfat32 instead of vfa16 .. I don't know). The point is.. reformatting solved that issue for me, it might solve yours.
If you can't get these ideas to work, you could try:
- Flashing /system through fastboot
- Booting an alternate kernel or booting from the SD card through fastboot
However.. I haven't actually done either of those myself.. and I don't want to be responsible for wrecking your device. So I hope someone more knowledgeable will be able to help you out there.
Sorry
My desire stopped recognising SD cards (they worked in my PC).....had to be sent away. Still waiting for it back. My wasn't rooted though.

I cannot access the SD card from recovery.
It's also not a problem with the SD card as I've tried 2 different cards, both of which work fine on my PC.
I tried formatting both cards on my PC. 4GB to FAT and 16GB to FAT32 (I don't think it supports FAT because I did not have that option with that specific card). Neither helped.
I didn't see an option to format the SD through recovery on my phone, but any attempt to load a file from the SD on recovery ended in the following message:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0p1)
E:Can't mount /sdcard
How do I flash /system from fastboot? Bear in mind that I don't have USB connectivity from there, nor do I have SD card access.
I appreciate the help

I really hope I won't get to that as I have voided my warranty by rooting my phone, plus I don't think my insurance will want to fix my self-ruined device.. :\
Thank you mate, but this thread is irrelevant to my case as far as I can see

It says in there:
"Also, SD card functionality has to work. For this, do 'fastboot oem enableqxdm 0' in fastboot mode."
I cannot issue commands in fastboot mode. I cannot write them on my device as I have no keyboard, and I cannot send them to my device from my PC as I don't have USB connectivity on my device.
That's also the reason I can't do any of the steps on that guide.
Unless I'm missing something..?
Here are some notes if it helps anyone solve my problem:
- I can probably use Wi-Fi if it helps in any way.
- What is odd is that my phone cannot read or mount the SD cards anywhere, but it was able to put 2 files on them after they were formatted by my PC.
The files were:
qxdm_20101123_022000_1.dm and qxdm_20101123_022256_1.dm on my FAT 4GB SD card
and: qxdm_20101123_023126_1.dm and qxdm_20101123_023357_1.dm on my FAT32 16GB SD card.
- My radio is still 5.11.05.27 which means the radio update mention above (32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14) which I think screwed things up - didn't even work.
- Putting PC36IMG on a formatted SD card and starting the phone in fastboot did nothing. No sort of installation was attempted. The phone was just waiting for my input on that screen as normal (or am I missing something I was supposed to do..?)
- After formatting the SD card (on my PC), putting it in my phone and loading the OS, again I have a T-mobile signal for 10 seconds which then disappears into no signal...
- My phone's info in bootloader:

I had sd and isb bricked too. But I was able to use fastboot.
Have You tried it? Reboot to recevery, go to fastboot and connect usb cable.
I'll apologise in advance if I'm making the wrong assumptions here, but as you say you're rather new to this:
Fastboot is a way to control your device from the PC. When USB and SD connectivity are broken, you might be able to use it to restore the device. It will do nothing if you only activate it on your device. You'll also need the software on your PC.
You'll need the "fastboot" (and maybe "adb" programs) for your PC, from the Android SDK. Download the SDK from the Android site and follow the installation instructions from the same site (you'll just need step 2 if all you want to do is fix the desire, the rest is for developers only). On Windows, you'll also want HTC Sync (it contains some USB drivers that we need).
Once that is done, boot the Desire into fastboot mode, connect the USB cable and on the PC, open a command prompt and execute "fastboot devices". If it lists the device, then you can use fastboot to work from there. (Basically all that tickmaster describes above... only in a lot more words)

martijn_bakker, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
I have no words to express my excitement and gratitude!
I've done what you suggested and you were absolutely right!
The PC HTC sync driver missing was what created the problem.
After installing it I could issue the fastboot command to enable the sd card.
And then as if by magic, all my other problems had disappeared as well!
If there's anything I can do - if you need any help with anything - just name it!

Hello!
Here is my story. 1 month ago I had install Leed Droid on my phone with partitions on card and everything was fine till I got some errors (like rebooting). So yesterday I had decide to go back to original ROM. Maybe I had done the steps wrong. Here is what I had done. First I had format my SD card in a SD reader to FAT32. And after that it had start my problems. The phone can not see the SD CARD and also the PC can't see the phone... so I can't install original ROM or put it on SD card to flash it from there if that is possible. I can go into bootloader and I had try to add files on SD card but can not see it it say:
can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
I had read abt this but coudn't solved the problems... so is posible to be USB bricked but I had follow the steps for that and didn't work... Any ideea?
P.S. I can boot Le3e Droid if I push recovery. But I can not install anything on card bc it can not see it
Here are the details of h-boot:
I have H-BOOT 0.93 0001
BRAVO PVT 1 SHIP S-OFF
MICROP 031D
TOUCHPANEL- SYNT0101
RADIO-5.17.05.08
Thanks!
It not necessarily bricked. It could just simply be that the format went wrong. Don't know on what OS you formatted it but windows isn't the tidiest in formating. Never experienced it on my phone but it happend to me with my digital camera. Camera wouldn't read it anymore. T
If you have access to an other sd card you could try flashing the rom from that card. I would test that first before you try something else.
Good luck
IT'S NOT BRICKED!
Had same issue before, fixed it easily just cant remember how... wait for some more experienced people.
Can't access SD card and PC doesn't see USB - can you help me?
This happened with me yesterday. To solve it, I partitioned the SD card in recovery, and everything seems to be fine so far
Well it can't see my card not even in recovery... so should I do the partition again? with EXT3 and fat 32? Personally I will like to go back to original ROM.
Yeah I couldn't see my card either, but going to advanced>partition sd card seemed to work.
where in advanced?
in recovery mode
Have you tried shut off the phone, pull of battery, put it back
Then press power + volume down
plug the phone
use RUU.exe ??
Sup dude, i hope this helps,
1st get another SD card, then format the card, full format not quick.
Then follow this guide, UNROOT By DoidZone
And see if that dont work for you.

Hey dude install the newest htc sync on your computer.
Then download the newest RUU for your phone then run it like any other program while your phone is connected to your computer. That should install your phones softwre the way it was when you got it. If tjat doesn't work try to reboot in hboot and then factory reset. Hope that helps.

I belive your desire is fine, and you just need sd card formating.
It happened to me four times.
Easiest way is to remove sd card from phone and put it into reader. My advice is usb reader. But sd reader will do also.
Download HP Usb formatting utility and format card. That will last some time. Now boot Gparted and format as you wish.
Or try with computer management disk and try to delete partitions on sd then format again.
Let me know if working.
Hello again!
I had buy another SD card and still my phone can't see he SD card...is not available... also the PC still don't see my phone... so I'm blocked to use Lee Droid. Of course can't do pics because of no SD card, can't injstal some programs...etc... I still wait for a solution from you... someone who had the same problem and fix it...
The only way my PC see the phone is when i go to bootloader... and if I try to run the RUU is starting... it say
: image version :version-main Failed (status read failed(too many links)) and if I push update
Thanks! is coming another screen it say:
from image version : version main FAILED (command write failed (unknown error) and when I push next it show it start the proces....waiting for bootloader and after that in 1 minute it say: error 171... the cable is not plugged.
Thx

I had close to the same problem as well
Press & hold vol down and power on the phone
Select fastboot by pressing the power button
ADB commands
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
fastboot reboot
That should fix your SD card not being detected.
Ok. I had try that but when I press power botton in fastboot it show me:
PB98DIAG.Zip loading...
Image not found
And it continue with other ... not found. So any ideea?
update:
Copied PD98IMG.zip to the SDcard, reobooted into recovery mode and it doesn't work!
On the HBOOT screen, I see:
Loading PD98DIAG.zip
Not found
Loading PD98DIAG.nbh
Not found
Loading PD98IMG.zip

Loading PD98IMG.nbh

Loading...[PB99IMG.zip]
No image!
Loading...[PB99IMG.nbh]

Except that mine is lookinh got PB99DIAG/img etc.
I have seen those comments about using the terminal emulator, but how to use it when the phone is not booted yet?
Also, adb devices does not show the device. So, not sure if the phone is correctly working.
Any next steps?
Nobody had find a solution?

So are you or are you not able to boot in to recovery? Kinda confused. You said that you tried but no luck but then you rebooted and did a clear storage. So were you able to boot in to recovery the second time? If you can, do a full wipe and try flashing a different rom. You can download one to your PC, boot in to recovery, enable the usb drive, push the file to your phone and flash.
Ummm sorry for the confusion .... I'm talking about I held the volume down and power button to get to the screen I believe it's "bootloader" and tried to select recovery so maybe I can do a backup to wen it previously worked but no luck cause the phone wasnt reading the sd card with the backup on it! So I went back to the "bootloader" and did a "clear storage" it worked but the phone took forever to come on.... I did that about 2 times when the phone wouldnt boot pass the htc screen but now it no lingers works doing that! And to answer you guys question no I'm not able to boot in recovery just to bootloader with the options
Fast boot
Recovery
Clear storage
Reboot
USB hboot
If you guys are still confused let me know I will explain further more the phone will not access recovery at All!
As asked... what recovery did you load? Amon_RA or CWM? Also, what HW version do you have?
O I'm very sorry.... CMW
Hw info:
Android version 2.3.4
Baseband version 2.15.00.0808
Kernel version: [email protected] #1 Sat apr 30 04:36:42 edt 2011
Build number: MIUIAndroid 7.29
And to answer your previous question I don't know how to install a new recovery thru hboot .... I hope this helps you
If you can get to your sd card via a card reader to load a new recovery, then follow the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705026. Otherwise, try this first to see if you can at least get sd access again: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243
Ok will try how do I get a card reader?
If you are on a laptop, most recent ones will have a slot for it and may even have the dock/reader to place it in. You can also get an external one that connects via USB at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack. Basically anywhere that sells SD cards. Usually around the camera section. You can also check tigerdirect.com or newegg.com if you can wait to receive it via mail. They usually have bargains that you can take advantage of. If this is your primary phone, then go to a store to get one so you can get your phone working.
Or if you can't get your hands on a card reader, you could stick your card in a different phone (old phone, friends phone, neighbors phone, phone at sprint store, whatever). Then download amonRa recovery from xda (download the PC36IMG version of it). Move it to the root of SD card (i.e. NOT in any folder) using some sort of file explorer on the borrowed phone.
Then put card back into your Evo, boot into bootloader (using power and volume down method you used earlier).
Bootloader should scan your card, find the PC36IMG, and ask if you want to do the update.
Hope this helps.

Ok thank you I'm going to do it in the morning will this still work for me even thou my phone won't read my sd card??
Your hboot/bootloader should still read your SD card fine. Unique problem, but should read fine. You remember which hboot version you have?
sent from AOKP heaven
No but I'll find out of you tell me how to
Well, not really necessary to know, unless you're trying to use some fastboot commands. But, you said you CAN still get into bootloader by holding volume and pressing power, right? Once in bootloader, it will say your hboot info in upper left corner.
In any case, follow the above info about getting recovery as a PC36IMG onto your SD somehow, and boot into bootloader. Good luck. Report back.

Hi,
my phone stuck on boot loop, as i mentioned at the title. I mean it comes to HTC screen and then black screen and then again HTC screen. It happened when i try to move com.htc package to sd-card, i was trying to open some more place for my internal storage ( i didn't know that can happen.)
how can i fix this ? can you please help me thanks !:crying:
Unfortunately you tried to move an important system component (didn't even know it would let you).
In future, if you don't know what it is, you should research it first. If you can't find anything, don't touch it
To get it back, you will likely have to run an RUU, but you will lose everything except stuff on your sd card.
Find bortak's troubleshooting guide at the top of Q&A, find the bit on RUU, find and flash the 2.3.3. GB RUU.
In future, if you really want to make more space on the Desire, the only proper way is to research how to S-OFF, root and partition your sd card.
Do you have a Nandroid? You must take nandroid backup using CWM before going fishy with /system
Else try factory reset using stock recovery
To free system space, instead of moving important files, use Link2SD for moving apps to SD partition
I'm here to Help

thanks, i will try
I'm appreciated for your helps, i'm now at work, when i go home i 'll try your suggestion that installing RUU.

In the same troubleshooting guide there should be a section on how to extract the ROM.zip from the RUU
Then you rename it to PB99IMG.zip exactly, put it on the root of the sd card (not in any folder), and run it from the sdcard without cable.
Alternatively, if you search directly for the 2.3.3. RUU as PB99IMG.zip is should be available.
