Rom and battery saving kernel question

I am currently using nuggys Rom and i was wondering which would be the best kernel to use to maximize battery life? I have been researching this issue for a while and haven't found a solution

Most people will tell you to that there is no solid answer, you just have to flash kernel's and test because no two phones are alike.
A kernel that saves battery for me might not save battery for you. Also, give it about a week for your ROM to get used to your kernel. If it drains fast, re-flash another kernel and repeat until you find what fits.

me personaly i tried a couple of different ones and the one that works great with me is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10772235&postcount=101 this one was tweak with a battery saver script ..... give that one a go if you want to but give it a couple of days to settle in

I have always used baked kernels, there are plenty of options. Baked speed, baked battery, and the one used In 1.9, Hero laptop kernel, works great as well.

4 signal bars and EvDO

I just rooted and installed the virtuous Affinity 2.05.0 Rom. My question is why do I only have 4 signal bars and it says EDVO instead of 3G? How do I fix this issue? I am still a newbie so please be specific. Thanks.

Technically they aren't issues.. EVDO = 3G ... there was a patch for this on their previous build but I'm not sure if they have been updated for the latest release.. anywho.. check this discussion out.. it's the thread dedicated to the Virtuous team...

Same thing as 3 g just different images download nijamorph app and then find the icon pack to replace the evfo pngs with 3 g images there's a mod to change bars

well fo a starters, have u tried to use battery calibration,, worked for me,, battery ended lasting at least 20 hours

well, for me , you should search for battery saving scripts such as one by Puremotive and 1 more from Smokin1997 if i wasnt mistaken. i use both scripts from them, and my phone can stand for more than 3 days in screen off mode wifi on, 3G on.

Phone off charging screen mod?

I remember seeing a mod like this a while back on some other phone, its just a mod to be able to start up the phone at certain times and you could set it while the phone was off if it was charging, i also remember seeing a % for the battery
Anyone seen something like this for the n7100(or some universal one)?
