battery use graph - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello frnz
just shifted from wm to android so bit noob about android
is there any way to reset battery use graph without rooting mobile.
please also let me know does it get automatically resetted after any particular time

The battery stats and graph reset after plugging off the charger or rebooting the phone.

It resets when you disconnect the charger after a 100% charge.

Solution for battery drain on Tab S 8.4

Hi everyone.
Just to write a solution for the commonly problem on the battery of this tablet; I had the problem that battery ran out almost on 1 or 2 hours! of use after it turned off I turned on again and the gauge showed for example 30% or some cases 40% of battery I was crazy about that and had to do some research; tried to bring the tablet to warranty but they did not could help me (I don't know why) after that I read there were more users having this problem; some of them suggested to bring the tablet to a repair center or open the tablet and do some technical reparation; the solution is pretty simple that it seems to me; my solution was to open the tablet with a spudger (I don't have one so I made one by sanding a piece of plastic) after that just unplugged the battery conector and reconnected it again; rebooted if recovery mode and erased batterystats.bin, turned off and charged until 100%.
At this point I have been using the tablet by 3 days and the gauge seems to show a more precise battery percentage.
Anybody that is having battery problem, and have checked that a app is not causing the battery drain, should try the battery calibration method below, before opening their tab
Try apps like watchdog or an wakelock checker app, also any apps like alarms and weather check apps or any apps that sync the tab can keep the tab from going to sleep.
On my tab s 10.5 i only charge to 70% and never unless i am doing a calibrate drop below 20%, I use my tab for video, ebook and internet.
I use an app like Gsam to sound an alarm at 20% and 70% when charging, and i dont charge to 100% as it can cause cumulative damage to the battery, check the link below for more info on how to care for lithium based battery`s

Below are a few screenshots from my tab s 10.5 , It has been running continuously for 142d without restart and i have a battery life of 3d21h according to Gsam app.

You can calibrate the battery like this before you decide to buy a new one
Fully charge the battery with the phone on and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is don
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once charged to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not charge until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).
phones with oled displays should not show static images for a long time as it can cause burn-in

I might have to give this a try. Like my battery has no problems with its connectors or anything since I have never had that problem. Recently, every time I charge my device, when it charges up to 97%, it immediately jumps to 100%. Rebooting still shows 100%. So when I turn off the device and charge it while it's off, it shows its at 98%. So I know it's an calibration problem. This only happens when charging up to 97%. So I might need to recalibrate again.

You should not discharge to 0% too often, as it can causes curative damage and the battery could actually fail, you would not want that to happen if you are out of warranty, I rarely discharge below 20%, a couple of % inaccuracy is not a problem really.

I hardly ever discharge to 0%, I usually charge it when it tells me my battery is low (20-15%). Well, I bought this tablet in July so I have reached probably 300+ charge cycles. I read some threads regarding battery skiping and it happens when either it's uncalibrated, or battery is slowly going bad, and something else I forget. But thanks for the tips on the battery stuff! I never knew charing and discharging fully could do such a thing!

I bought my device from Kuwait so it's firmware belong to united Arab of imarats.
At the beginning , I faced some issues with my device such as. After about 3 weeks I found the the battery stay only for 10 minutes even if it charged to 100%
I had to put my device in charge all the time so I can use it.
I send it to repair center and told them that I need to replace my battery.
After one day they call me and told me that it just asoftware problem and we solve it.
I got it from them use it for just 3 days and found anew problem that the home, back and multitask buttons dosen't work very well . That I need to but it on it's back or use the desktop cover to make it work.
In that point I tried another country firmware with kitkat 4.4.2 and that dosent solve anything
And when I found that the lolipop came to galaxy tab s with France and Canada and sanghfore , I installed it
I found that when I connect the wall charger , the device immediately turn off and give me the sign of battery with out any process in charging and dosent want to turn on.
And when the device work , it give me ablack screen when I shake it between my hand or but it on it's back (such like ablack screen flashing)
I don't know what to do.

[Q] Battery History Question

Hello everyone,
Just got myself the HTC One m8 yesterday and am in love, but I have one small question.
When you go to power, and history to see the details of what your battery has been up to, is it normal for it to always basically reset when you either turn the phone of/reboot or plug a charger in, even for a short amount of time.
For example, I charged mine over night and took it off at 6am, went through the day and was keen to see how long I'd get from a single charge, get to now (9pm) and decide that I wanted to put some music on it, plug the usb into my laptop and transfer some tunes, unplug. Now when I go back to the history the graph just starts from 70% like its been reset and all the previous graph movements etc are gone. Attached picture is after unplugging the usb after being on for about 33min
I previously had a Samsung s4 and the graph would only reset once the phone was fully charged. If you plugged it in the graph would rise as far as you charged and continue giving information until it had been full recharged and then the graph would start again.
Is this normal for the M8 or is mine being silly?
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Jarrad

Yes, it is normal for it to reset.
It is for power history since powering up, or since your last charge.
yeah, that's normal. And I don't see a way to change it to since "last full charge" to 100% My Moto Droid would always show since last charge from 100%. If you plugged it in for a little bit, it would show that time on the graph too as charging. I'm sure there's 3rd part apps you could use that would possibly be a better fit for you (Gsam battery monitor) is probably the top one I think. Also, "better battery stats". Gsam is pretty good and monitors all kinds of stuff too, wakelocks, cpu usage all that good stuff.

Phone shuts down with 100% battery

Even after charging my One M8 all night when I unplug the charger, it will shut down within 10 seconds unless I connect my external battery pack in time. When I reconnect a charging supply (mains or battery pack) it will show the green battery charging image and usually around 95% charged. So it seems to recognise the charge, but the phone doesn't think it's enough to keep operating so shuts down.
Background:
I was on Sense but I flashed to GPE using the RUU.
In the last couple of months I'd had my battery pack connected a lot (Pokemon Go!) as the phone was shutting down at 20%, so I was keeping it connected to the battery pack a lot.
Is there anything I can do 'fix' the battery or would I be better off trying to install a new one?
Thanks
HTC M8 Shutting Down With 100% Battery SHowing
My phone does exactly the same thing. All the 'fixes' listed to date don't make a difference. I've noted a factory reset doesn't do it either. Has anyone found a reliable fix or is it time to trash this phone?

Android System Battery Drain

Hello everyone. I am newbie here.I have a question. After I have updated to MIUI 12.0.6, android system has started to drain my battery( Same day I've dropped the phone and inserted second SIM to my phone. I don't know theese are related) . I used to charge my phone once a day and I was getting about 6 and 7 hours of screen time now it is about 3 hours. Even I dont't use the phone it is using power. I've downgraded to 12.0.5 then to MIUI 11 but did not work. Still same. What am I supposed to do? Any thoughts? Thank you.
check battery health, download accubattery app, after few charging cycles it will display your battery current capacity, if its fine then youll need to calibrate your battery. if its not then probably fault with the battery.
Calibrate Battery is very simple. Charge your phone to 100% then use it and completely discharge it to 0
then switch off phone and charge to 90% then use upto 0 again. now 3rd time charge normally. if you followed these steps then you should be getting better battery. This all i know , if it doesnt work then try to find solution in Youtube.

I have been using AccuBattery since i bought my XRN8P, I only ever charge to 80% apart from the off 100% charge to calibrate the battery gauge every couple of months and my battery health is shows as 99%
So i have not noticed any drop in battery runtime at all.
I was facing the same issue on my Xiaomi. After applying these fixes, my battery life is normal now. You can try these solutions.
Clear Google Play Services Data
Wipe Android System Cache
Restrict Background Activities Of Rarely Used Apps
Uninstall Unused Apps
Disable Automatic Backups
Change Your Android’s Theme & Fonts

calibrate battery?

My battery life on every GSI have been absolute trash. i am dropping 1% every 5 minutes while listening to spotify with my bluetooth headphones. i heard that calibrating battery is a thing which will cause the battery percentage to be shown more accurately? does anyone know how? cant find a good guide and if i do they are from 2012 etc.
to me the best guide is simply let phone shut down itself then put on charge, turn immediately phone on and let it charge to 100% without any interruption and even if on 100% let it charge for about 30 minutes to fully charge battery. ever worked since i had first android phone. i suggest you before all of this to delete data/system/ all battery data stuff then start like i mentioned. try this and if not work replace battery. if you saying battery **** out after little time even if swich between roms is not calibration issue anymore. because swiching different roms let you to format data and it means that also the battery stats files will be deleted. let me know
