[Q] Got wet but the water sticker didn't go red

Last week my phone got wet through rain in my pocket and the camera stopped working, the water sticker on the battery turned red, but the one under the metal pins has remained white, could i just put a new battery in it and send it off for repair?
or is there some other way that htc could tell it got wet? (its completely dry now everything is normal except the camera)
Thanks
Josh
Replace it with an original battery and tell some story to HTC.

Also I have debranded my phone not rooted, would this void the warranty?

Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
When you send your handset in to HTC, they do not need the battery back cover memory or sim card.
So you'll be alright! Provided there isnt a water strip in the headphone jack

Return to a stock HBOOT if you changed it and just flash the RRU of your carrier and send it off, Although HTC do not cover water damage...

There is possibly another water indicator inside the phone as well?

Same here, every time i plug the charger in
Thanks, how long you had them for? Just trying to decide if this is a separate issue from the constant screen flicker, or if its just a sign that eventually its gonna flicker all the time again

Maybe it's a voltage regulator that's the problem for the flickering screens?
There was somebody who said HTC had confirmed that to chitter chatter (not sure if that's the correct company name) that it was faulty voltage regulators, although the HTC support just says to get it replaced without further info apart from 'we are investigating'

Personally I think even if it flickers when plugged in there's a hardware fault, ie my dhd never flickers when I plug it in...

Screen having potential problems

Hi all,
I seem to noticed that my desire z sometimes displays lines down the screen. Its not really noticeable but its there. I am not sure if its the black cable or the screen crapping itself? Its less than a year old and its already having issues.

Screen Problems

This is utterly annoying. Whenever I put my phone on charge the screen seems to lock-up. Well, I say lock-up, but a better word for use would probably be messes up.
Basically when trying to lift the Lock Ring out of the Lockscreen I'll have to do it like 6 times. But it's inconsistent. For example I'm using my phone now with the charger in, not an issue.
Has anyone else experienced anything that even comes close to this with regards to the screen?

Yeah I have this problem too, try pressing the power button twice then try again, seems to work for me.
Thanks, at least I'm not the only one! Was getting ready to take it back for a minute then.
It's most annoying during gaming.

It's a software bug, not a screen problem as the title states.
Cheers.

Replace your charger.
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
yap..always use original charger.. if still got the issue you can try to replace the charger..
Use a quality charger that is atleast rated at 700mA or higher. Also plugging it to an outlet that doesn't share other heavy appliances to prevent line noise.
Also sometimes even stock chargers can be faulty.
I suffered the same problem and thought I was the only one, sometimes it's absolutely fine and other times it just won't work. I initially resolved the issue by unplugging the phone from the charger and then plugging it back in again. Then I realised that if you press the power button to turn the screen off and then on again it seems to resolve the issue. It's a pain in the ass but at least it's not a major fault

It's got nothing to do with the charger, happens on 4 different chargers I've tried.
One of them being the original

Fast overheating + cameralens loose

When my one X is charging on textile like a pillow or sth it heats up like crazy. Anyone with the same problem?
Also my lens looks like it is gonna give up on me any day now..
I always take great care of my phone, before this one had a hd2 had it for 3 year, not a single scratch. I hate the cheap ass build quality.
I won't buy a dumb plastic piece of sh.. anymore. HTC please, for your next phones, use aluminium.
I wonder, can the heating problems be fixed?

Well, y'know, you could put it on something thermally conductive rather than a thermal insulator.

I'm not that careful with my phone, and not a single mark, dent, scuff, scratch or any other sign of damage.
Dropped it a few times too

This is one of the most scratch resistant screens I've ever had.if you don't put it in your pocket with keys ect I doubt it will scratch.
