Hey,
has anybody already tried out the docking station?
Is it possible to fit the Note including a flip case into the station?
Does the station have an audio/video out or is it only for charging?

Sorry... docking station ? More details please?.
It has a speaker out port, but sadly is not compatible with the flip case; too much extra bulk around the side and back. Very nice if you don't use the flip case, though, the Note slips easily into the dock, and it looks elegant.

According to this video starting at the 10 sec mark; it fits fine with the flip cover.

Wow, that docking is pretty nice. It looks like the leather flip cover will still work with it. Now the questions is where can I get one.
i received it today, its nice and much easy to put and pull the phone. in the box there is only the dock, they dont add nothing else. u can turn it landscape (with the phone docked). 49€ with shipping, in italy, expensive...

But there is a charging cable included? Or do I have to use the one that I already have?
34 Euro is the cheapest I could find here in Germany.. still very expensive @[email protected]
I wouldn't say it fits fine with the flip case; because of the extra bulk on the side, some pressure is required to jam it in, and because of the extra bulk on the back, the Note has to be tilted forward to mate with the USB connector, and you can't just drop it into the dock. You can make it work, but it's really not comfortable, and I'd be worried about damaging the connector. If they showed someone dropping it into the dock on the video, it would not look quite such a good combination.
That Dock would be just perfect if it came with an external battery fitted within it to be used as a stand while away from a power source.
Might still get one though.

Is that a BROWN flip case???? I thought they all Black?
Here are some nice pictures by a German fellow:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/zubehoer-fuer-samsung-galaxy-note/162759-dockingstation-fuer-samsung-galaxy-note.html#post2238012
The official dock does not seem to allow use of an MHL adaptor on the back of the dock. Power still goes to the Note but no HDMI output. Tried several times, even tried internal/external speakers settings in "Dock" but no difference - still no video.
Can anyone else confirm?
PS. The dock does not come with a power supply, you just use you existing PSU/lead.

Have you actually experienced this, or are you speculating? I don't believe the Samsung flip case adds any extra bulk at the back, as it replaces the original back cover.

I have the cover and dock. I watched the video and though the Note did fit in the dock with the cover and ordered both, but it doesn't.
One the left side the back cover is thicker to allow room for the leather flap. You can still use the dock by titling the phone forward at the top but the the only thing supporting the phone is the dock connector.
Once I get a screen protector I'll remove the cover as I'd like to use the dock and it will be easier to use with my car dock.
The case does make holding the phone easier and it feels more secure in your hand.

Yes, I have. The back is more substantial than the rather flimsy original battery cover, making e.g., the camera more recessed, and the extra width of the flap doesn't help the device slide down, either.
So is the dock useless if you have the flip cover-case on? Or can you use the dock, although the phone doesn´t fit "perfectly"? I´m considering getting both accessories, but am a bit confused.

Samsung Galaxy Note Accessories–Now available to order
Friday, November 11, 2011
If you are one of the owners of the new Samsung Galaxy Note, you can now order some accessories for delivery by the end of the month.
Available for order now are the desktop dock, car kit, MHL/HDMI adapter and stylus holder kit.
Samsung Galaxy Note MHL/HDMI Adaptor:

Samsung Galaxy Note Vehicle Dock: http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-note-official-vehicle-dock
Samsung Galaxy Note Desktop Dock:

I wouldn't use them together. It's a really tight fit because of the flip on the left, so doesn't slide down as easily as the naked Note, and needs to be jammed in. Because of the thicker battery cover, when the microUSB connector is mated, the Note is tilted forward, putting stress on the connector.

Hi Guys,
I have found this one
http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-PU-Leath...ng-Galaxy-Note-10-1-N8000-White-/130774374551
It looks like the official one. Have some one bought it? If so, is the quality acceptable? I am thinking to get one of this, but my main concern is to find a poor quality.
I use the official Samsung book cover that I purchased in grey from the UK, it is the one I use daily as it is very practical for my uses however unless you transport it in a padded case, there is still a risk of damage due to the original book case being so thin and does not close with any kind of locking mechanism.
I overcame this with an excellent solution using a protective zipper pouch called the zeroshock case which is padded inside and has excellent shock/drop proof qualities. Once out of the zeroshock case, in use it has a thin form factor which is perfect for practical uses around the office.
The case also folds to the perfect angle for typing or handwriting using a software keyboard or S-pen in its lower position and also stands up at an upright angle for when you want to watch videos or use it for typing when using a standard /Bluetooth hardware keyboard.
I have taken some pictures of the case demonstrating the above and will add pictures to show you my setup.
Edit: pictures added

I have the cover, and I really like it because of the slim profile. I have the white version of the note and book cover, and I don't want to carry it around for fear of it getting discolored of dirty looking.
Hasc,
Quick question about your pictures. Where did you get the zero case? Also it seems in your pictures you have 2 different pens - one looks like the galaxy note pen and another with the eraser? Can you identify the items in the picture? I understand the s-pen nubs and ring holder to extract them, but i'm curious about the last picture why you have a usb to micro-usb slot cord. What do you use that for?

sledgie,
I got the zero case from gearzap.com - product id: 19906 - Zeroshock 3 Netbook Case 8.9"-10.2" - black @ 15.95 Inc VAT
pens - black one is the standard galaxy note one with eraser, white one is the Bluetooth pen that is charged by the black micro usb lead on the picture
The white usb adapter is used to connect usb sticks, mice, hardware keyboards etc.

I have finally taken the decision to buy it (http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-PU-Leath...ng-Galaxy-Note-10-1-N8000-White-/130774374551), although it is not the official one (I think the official one is too expensive, 10% of the tablet's value ). I will post the pictures as soon as I get it. On the other hand, I have already a zipper pouch case which is the one I am using daily, therefore I will have a good match at the end.
Damage to Note due to magnet?
Hi i have purchased this cover and found out that the magnet causes the spen to be less accurate in the areas close to where the magnet is.. does anyone know if this can cause a permanent damage? In other thread someone posted this:
I found this in Galaxy Note manual
' Do not use carrying cases or accessories with magnetic closures or allow
your device to come in contact with magnetic fields for extended periods of
time. ' Page 180
but i dont know if this counts i mean.. samsung made it!!
OK first off, apologies if this is long winded or if I should have posted this in the other accessory threads. I've had my Note 10.1 for five days now - case came the day I picked up the tablet (good timing!), and the USB adaptors arrived today.

Blue Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 'Executive Plus' Faux Leather Case with Screen Protector and Stylus Pen Holder (Fits both Tablet Versions Note 10.1 N8000/N8010):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Exe...XVJ0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1353061991&sr=8-2
Packaging
The case arrived in a nondescript cardboard box inside another cardboard box (nobrand ). The insides were kept in shape by a foam insert. I also got a screen protector with this package (again, nobrand)
Usage
The case itself is really well made, the note slips inside a pouch and velcro'ed in, and the front cover folds backwards to form a stand. Access ports are unblocked, with generous openings for the cameras and sensors, as well as holes where the speakers are (smart!). Removing the S PEN from its slot is not very easy since there's no hole cut into the case for that. There is, however, a pen holder loop built on the top ridge of the case where your power buttons and I guess you could store the S PEN there, or buy another S PEN and keep it there (I'm tempted to do that)
The lid stays shut with the help of magnets built into the top edge of the case, seems sturdy. There are two slots for SD cards built into the inside of the case but I don't think I will use them - they're exposed when you flip the lid open to form the stand and I'm not too convinced the cards will stay where they are.
Overall, a good case, hard, slim, functional. And its a nice blue colour . Might not be as padded as other cases but it is light and does protect the tablet to some degree. The only real gripe I have with this case is the flap the lid slots into when using it as a stand. It's made of hard material, but it feels like it will go out of shape after extended periods of use. The screen protector is nothing to shout home about, it does what it does, protects the screen. Screen brightness is affected slightly by the protector though.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 SD Card and USB Adapter - Black:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Gal...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1353062038&sr=1-2
Packaging
Small box the size of cigarette cartons. Does say Samsung Galaxy Tab but it works just as well with the note. Comes with instruction sheet (!)
Usage
The USB adaptors are amazing. All plastic, good build quality, light weight. You get one 30pin to female USB connector, plus another 30pin to full sized SD card adaptor. Connected my camera direct to the note using the USB and it had no trouble reading it or transferring pictures from the camera's SD card. Same with other USB sticks. The SD card adaptor works in the same way except only for SD cards of course. Streaming movies was not an issue.
Only problems might be the 30pin itself. Feels like the slightest knock will bend it out of shape when its in the note. Overall I am really pleased with the adaptors, although they are a bit more expensive than the other brands and you'll need to carry both adaptors plus other bits compared to, for example, the eKit.

Bonus - the Sony Ericsson MW-600 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones works amazingly well with the phone and Note 10.1. It has multipoint tech so you can have both devices connected to the headset - listening to music from the Note 10.1 then taking calls from the phone feels just right. Buy Tablet Talk and you won't need to take the phone out of your bag or pocket anymore.
Just remember to pair the Note 10.1 first, and THEN hold the call button on the headset to pair it with the phone, other wise it might not work. This particular headset is a bit "old" (released 2009, I bought it last year), and Sony had replaced it with another similar headset, Sony Smart Wireless Stereo Headset Pro. Not had the pleasure of using that yet but I don't plan to buy another headset until the MW600 breaks.

......feels like whatever savings I've made from buying the Note 10.1 have been sunk into accessories lol.
Hi all,
just e tip: a dedicated carholder for this phone is ahrd to find and a little expensive if i'm honest.
if you search for a dedicated carholder form LG G2 on Ebay or such, this will do just aswell. mind you, with a little creative puzzling.
the size between these phones is comparable....not EXACTLY the same.
i've taken a light and heated the corners and the 'clipping and unclipping thingy' without the phone in it one by one.
After heating, fitted the phone in and pressen on the each corner-part and pushed the holder around it.
It fits pretty good and will not snap out easliy.
be careful after applying a heat source......ths plastic can be VERY HOT. insert phone and press it onto a surface.
no promises on the result ofocurse.....just thought i'd share it........
I just wanted to add that I went a different direction with this, and it works great.
I bought a http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Samsung-Galaxy-Active-Unicorn/dp/B00DY2SEFE
Then I bought the quadlock mounts
The adapter for the phone
http://www.quadlockcase.com/products/universal-adapter
then bought the bike mount
http://www.quadlockcase.com/products/quad-lock-bar-mount-pro
and car mount
http://www.quadlockcase.com/products/quad-lock-car-mount
I attached the universal adapter to the back of my phone (easy easy compared to the otterbox stuff out there, since unicorn beatle case is uniformly flat already, it is why i chose it)
Now i attach it to my bike/car when I need to, and it doesnt make it too much bulkier. I actually have 2 cases, one with and one without the adapter, and I switch them out if I am going to go biking, or on a long trip where I might use the GPS.
there are really stable BikeMounts from Upmove:
