Cant update Rom

I have a Touch Diamond.
its unlocked and has the latest Rom from HTC from 2009-02-27.
RomVersion : 2.03.421.2 WWe
Rom Date : 12/24/08
Radio Version 1.09.25.23
Protocol version : 52.51.25.26H
The issues i've got are:
1. the camera does not work , it freezes can get it to take a picture.
2. the g-sensor calibrates ok but does not work.
3. cant update the rom to anything other than the original one from HTC updates stops at 0% and then failes.
Please can anyone help me.
I bought this phone second hand.

Please Help Firmware

Good afternoon! I have a problem with my phone. I'm from Argentina and I am new to this. the problem I have is I can not move from Bada bada 2.0 to 1.2. The problem is that I have no signal bada 2.0. but when wanting to pass me da bada 1.2 ERROR ERASE: in BOOTLOADER, APPS - Rsrc1 and CSC. attempt to install over 10 firmware and could not always gives me this error. please if anyone knows help me thank you with all my heart! thank you! First of all check that if your phone is locked to your network Because if your phone is locked to your operator than you will not be able to use open region firmwares and you will not get any signal.So check and then update here so we can help you better.

If you bought your phone from Argentina, most likely it is s8500L.
So may be the problem is in the proper firmware.
If I'm right, you can get the right one from sammobile website:

The phone is released. I can put any firmware 1.2 and it takes me the signal. the problem is now 2.0, and bada got no signal I take what I want to do is re-bada 1.2 but will not let me, I get ERROR ERASE at the boot, apps, Rsrc1 and FOTA. and will not let me install any firmware Argentina (L) because it gives me this error. and more than 10 firmwares probe and 3 different computers and I get the same error .. you would know that this error or to fix it?. Try one of the indian firmware its a old firmware try ddjk3 from asian version. Use v5.65 of multiloader. And after a successfull flash just flash again the version u want. Please check boot change and full download. Don not tick master rom. See if this helps you this is tested by me as once the same problem happened to me.

I forgot to tell you that when I get the ERROR ERASE, cel look at the screen and says:
! ABNORMAL SW DETECTED!

That's a must or I have to do to fix it?.

Is it S8530 ?
if so - you can try this firmware

it's old one but great ... she helped me alot
if it still doesn't help - flash only the boot files - separately
let the device do restart and only reEnter download mode
and flash the other files ....
P.s very important - full download & LIS in multiloader
try to use ver 5.65 not the 5.67
make sure that your pc is not busy and that you have sufficient battery

This is S8500. and is loaded to the maximum (which is left over when flash bada 2.0) but I can not flash bada 1.2 and 1.0.
You've tried all the files separately by a full flash and low but the same thing. I always throw the same error. Multiolader already tested with 6.62 and 5.65 and the pc without aplicasiones open.
Probe with more than 10 firmwares and none let me.

adfree a question. is possible to merge the bada ams.bin 1.2 with 2.0?
Since doing that I think I may have a sign. I saw many users in Argentina had the problem of not having signal bada 2.0.
They are very different both AMS.bin?. merge is too complicated to operate the signal?

I'm using only Multiloader 5.67 if I play with bada 2.0...
XP 32 bit
Also for downgrade from 2.0 to 1.x I use only 5.67 to prevent "funny" phenomenons...

I use multiloader v5.65 and it works flawlessly when i do upgrading or downgrading on bada 2.0. I am having windows 7 32 x86-32 bits.
So adfree i think its not mandatory to use only v5.67 infact v5.65 works better and error free. But may be different person have different choices

I had simmilar isue (exept signal problem) while tried to downgrade S8500OXAKK7 2.0 to original Croatian 1.2 S8500XXKF3_S8500OXFKA1_TRA.
1st I had to flash Arabic S8500JPJG2. Worked fine for me! All done with MultiLoader v.5.65

Maybe ...
Try to flash to original beta rom of bada 2.0
but an earlier ver like :
S8500XPKH1 ## 2.0 2011 August S8500OXAKH1 Open Europe
and than try to downgrade

After i brick my flipout i was unable to find the proper flash file for AT&T and all other flashes are failed to work, and most of the download links here and on other sites are expired ,so after 3 days of heavy searching , and after tons of trials i was able to find RUTH_U3_00.28.4 AT&T US version , so if you have bricked flipout AT&T you can make it run again

Its never "deblured" your build.prop or default.prop has a few lines saying Motoblur=false so you don't have to sign up with motorola. Thats basically what they mran by deblur

and YES I didn't backup before !
Since I want to retrieve the original one,
Do I Google such a file specific to my OS version : 2.3.4 ???
or to my phone : Xperia Play R800i ???

I finally figured out how to get around my wifi problem by myself :
Flashtool + new firmware + Root + New ROM
Everything works great now !
My question still stands though:
Does system files relate to the OS or to the Phone model ?

what tools do u need? u can get all d tools as well as tutorials for flashing & stuff from these threads...
