You can just use 7zip on that services.jar.

Not sure, but it could be missing some lib files. Or if you're trying to use it on sense 1.0, it could be a framework compatibility issue.

[Q] I need some tips and tricks

I plan on creating my own rom and was wanting to know what tools I may need and how to go about it the correct way? It will be Android based.
Google it, exactly what I did. Make sure you have a decent computer that can handle all that memory.

You will need to pull libpolarisoffice_Clipboard.so and libpolarisoffice.so from a stock rom containing it, and push them to system/lib ....
Thank you I will try and report back

Use the file app to select the apk and install it.simple.done.
What version of Polaris office is the one you linked to?

I think he might need an lib for it to work as well
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Thats the apk from the stock rom.
I just copied it to sdcard, cuz one of these roms didnt have it.
But thats stock.
Shouldnt have to add any libs.
I didnt.just installed as an apk.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
Its weird the stock apk won't install on certain roms.. or it will but won't open files - just force close. After doing research I thought correct libs were needed, but never actually got it working.

So is there a way to integrate Google docs with polaris?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Dont know.im back on stock everything so cant check anymore.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
I posted a link for the lib file you need on the first page. Without that, as someone pointed out, the app will force close as soon as you try to open any documents.. There's only like 15 posts in this thread, and everything you need to know and download was provided in like the first 5.. Come on, people

How do I edit a framework.apk?

I'm mainly trying to edit the eri.xml and apn.xml for a non Sprint carrier. I tried APKTools but it's not really working. I keep getting a java not found error even though its installed. Also it doesn't seem that you can edit this xmls with APKTools anyway. Anyone feel like pointing me in the right direction?

You can do that straight from your zip archiver. Just open it as a zip. The xml is in res/xml

I'm pretty sure eri is encrypted.
He'd have to decompile it.
Hmm do you have the android sdk installed and the resources... you need more than the java developemnt kit... you need that version of androids resources and dependencies to decompile it...
And no you can't edit xmls without decompiling the framework completely.

On-screen buttons

My phone recently fell and my capacitive keys don't work. Its sad that I can enjoy the betas of REMICS ans SENSE 4.0 ON my epic. I would grfeatly appreciate if someone could teach me how to enable these or create them. If someone teaches me I can keep updating the file for each update and push it out for most ROMs on our epics. I have decompiled and compiled frameworks and done basic editing. I know it will take more than just a little editing but I am more then willing to learn to make this happen! Thanks to anyone who tries in advance.

Can't you also just create local.prop and add line qemu.hw.mainkeys=0?
Sent from my SPH-D700 CM9 4.0.4
@dahturdima I have that on right now. I've had it like this. But I've been wanting to do it for other roms.
@ marcusant I though of that was in the process of doing it. But my decompilers wouldn't do it. I was getting chunk PNG missing files or something like that. I was trying to do it on REMICS.
If someone could upload their working set of tools I would greatly appreciate it.
