I like my Inc2 ten times better than my Fascinate. The GPS actually works in this device. I also get great battery life and there is no lag for me.
Here is a similar post from AC http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-droid-incredible-2/107364-any-dinc2-users-coming-fascinate-2.html#post1146594
The Dinc2 is extremely well endowed compare to the Fascinate, it has got both length and girth, you will be very satisfied with it I'm sure.
Seriously, we exchanged both our fascinates for the Dinc2 two weeks ago and love the new phone, wondered why we didn't do it sooner.
I had a fascinate, and would not go back. Build quiality seems better, GPS works, battery lasts longer, and in general, it's a lot less work to maintain, even if you're flash happy. No odin here obviously, but once it's rooted and setup, it's a breeze.
If you want a good phone go with the Inc 2. The smart play would be getting a Charge so your grandfathered in on 4G and wont have to pay more later on.

Thats exactly what I said. Here real quick Verizon will be charging extra for 4G just like Sprint. Supposed to be an extra 10 to 15 a month.

I had this same convo with vz on Sunday except I have a problematic droid 2 global. The after going back and forth and "supervisor approval" they agreed to send me a dinc2 in place of my droid 2 global free. The only catch was I had to meet them half way and buy a battery door and battery for it. Money well spent if you ask me. They were cheap on amazon. It hasn't arrived yet but I've heard nothing but good stuff about the dinc2. Can't be worst then my d2g.

You may be grandfathered into unlimited data for 3G but that doesnt mean 4G. When they start charging the extra for it youll still be on unlimited but data will be 45 a month not 30. Thats what I mean.
well in that case ill lower my plan cause I really don't NEED unlimited. but I'm OK for now so I'm not worried. thanks for the heads up though!

Well from a common sense stand point lets look at other competitors. Sprint, 10 dollars a month extra for "Premium data". T-Mobile after a certain amount you lose your 4G speeds and drop down to almost 2G speeds. And not to mention my cousin is the head engineer for western Arizona and that came straight from him. 4G is expensive to offer and maintain.
Hers what I found about upgrading to 4g. http://www.droid-life.com/2011/06/2...g-to-4g-after-july-7-can-keep-unlimited-data/i couldn't find anything about raising 4g prices.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
I actually asked tier 2 tech when I was on the phone. he said they aren't able to talk about it with customers because nothing has Bern discussed yet. but that as long as you're grandfathered into unlimited data he doesn't think they will charge us more for 4g. so technically not proof, but I'd tale.his word over rumors. which is exactly what he said that is, rumors.

Rumors have been circulating for a few weeks that damaged Incredibles are being replaced with Incredible 2's. Well, I've been happily running Synergy 3D for over a month and while having someone take my picture on the edge of a rock face at about 2000 ft she dropped my phone. Now the volume up button doesn't work very well. I submitted a damage claim with asurion and low and behold Incredibles are out of stock and I have to settle for an untimely upgrade to an Incredible 2 for $99. I guess I will have to live with my unlimited data plan for a while longer.
Since I have to return my phone I restored it to stock. Not so easy to use PB31IMG.zip files when the volume up button is acting up. Got it done and I will have my new phone in 2 days.
The picture of me was taken after she dropped my phone. It came right at me and I was standing in the same spot. I closed my legs like a hockey goalie and stopped the phone. The phone was gone if it didn't come right at me. I couldn't quite move to get it without falling off of a cliff.
Dude. That's a crazy story. Way to score on the Inc2 though. Haha

Ok guys, here's my "delimma". I have an upgrade available to me. I've been wanting a gs2 since it came out in Europe. I had every intention of getting this within the first week it came out on tmo. BUT, reading about all the issues with lines on the screen, resolution, etc, I'm skeptical. It's basically going to be this phone or I'll cancel my line (I'm on a family line). I havent had a chance to play with one in person yet. So, in the meantime, I'm trying to gather opinions on the phone.
With all that being said, if you had a chance to relive Wednesday or whatever day you bought the gs2, would you buy it again?

I would for sure. I think it's the best phone on T-Mobile and T-Mobile is the cheapest out of the major wireless providers for me.
I am eligible for an upgrade to my iPhone 3GS from AT&T. Picked up a Galaxy S II and ported my number over to TMO. Almost everything about this phone is better than my old iPhone. Couldn't be happier. Oh, and I'm paying less for my plan, too!
Yep, I can relate to some. I tried the epic 4g touch version on sprint. If I could swap the internals with that it would be more awesome. As it stands though, once root is here and I can tether I'll be stoked. As of right now I'm happy with it. It feels solid and has a professional look and feel to it.

I'm going to give it a try again. The SGS2 was the phone I wanted from the git go. Sounds like the ones with the least amount of problems are the 9/28 boxes.

As we know sprint did finally change their billing and the discounts dont work out like they used to. I barely use any minutes, like 200 a mth if that. And my data is around 1gb a mth. I send around 1500 texts a mth too.
So Im looking to jump ship on Sprint, but what phone is out there that is worth going to? I love the evo, but I cant do it anymore with sprint.
depends on what carrier you are planning on going to.
Also be aware that all of the other major carriers are more expensive. I've checked them all out, and for me at least, I would be pay at least am extra $50 per month

Put your Evo on Boost or Virgin.
Otherwise, considering your minutes, your best bet is one of the new cheap T-Mobile plans. It still comes down to a phone choice though.
After this discount stuff, If I get verizon, my bill is about 20$ cheaper. Never thought that would happen lol. But I'm not changing without knowing what phones are coming later! You should wait for the S4, Tegra 3 and Exynos SoC!

If its any consolation the epic touch has great resale value. Maybe sell it and get the note with crappy at&t or galaxy nexus on Verizon. I'm currently using mine on Cricket and it fits my needs. Thinking of going with sprint once lte is available in my area.

Thinking about it a little more, I just may want a new phone and sprint doesn't have any announced right now. I usually get a new phone every 6 months or so.... That Note is calling my name

If were going to consider any new device that's coming soon (which I'm not), it would be the HTC One-X. The Note is too big for me. The form factor of the E4GT is my limit.
Haha I would love the note on sprint or my future is probably verizon since i want to move to the middle of nowhere. My max form factor is 8 inches. Steve Jobs could have started a clothing line dedicated to "Hummer" phones and made another billion instead of whining that no one would buy one.

I'm curious if Sprint is going to let you migrate that number over to Boost (Sprint owns Boost).
Also, I also wonder if you can get the E4GT over on Boost without doing some, how shall I say, questionable tatics.
I just got off the phone with a rep dealing with bla bla bla on my phone then i started a convo about the SG3. I told him i am no where near due for a upgrade but i would love to get the phone he stated that sprint has a new buy out program. just to sum it up, sprint would buy my phone back from me ET4G ( in perfect condition)for 300 bucks for right now he said value might drop alil when SG3 release but it should be close to that. I think sprint is pretty cool for sprint to buy back my close to what i want ( unless someone on CL would pay more ) to help me get a new phone without upgrading. hope this helps anyone

Sprint has had Buyback for years now, they just recently started pushing it harder.
I can safely say that the buyback value on the E4GT is not $300, it's $105 like a previous poster said.
You can trade it in at THE SHACK and get $300: http://radioshack.cexchange.com/online/home/index.rails
There may be a deal for it, close to $300, when the sg3 drops.. I remember when the evo3d came out, they had a deal where they bought back your original evo for $150, which was a pretty good for that old of a phone.

I wouldn't count on getting anything close to that once the sg3 is out, or even the evo lte for that matter. Once this phone is not top of the line that price will plummet.

The price is already plummeting because of how slow and behind the times sprint is. I'm soon to sell my e4gt and swap to a gsm model and it looks like the gsm versions go for about 100 more. Kind of sad.
