Well, now that we have S-Off, root, and CWM Recovery, does this mean we can flash any of the available ROMs to our phone?

custom recovery does not = NAND unlocked
This is happening due to a "bug" in cyanogen that requires you use hboot .76
You're running hboot .79.200 I bet.
I'm running into the same problem and haven't figured out how to work around it so far.
You can install other roms. For example, I used baked snack for now. That flashed with no problem.

Hey guys im trying to get the Evo version of psfmod running on the inc, will i be able to just try flashing it with unrevoked? whats the worst that can happen? can it break recovery?? and if so, will a ruu or pb31img fix it?
Also, any advice on getting it running would be great lol.
It wont work so why try??

Put a ps3 in service mode to downgrade it. It can also jailbreak without a special kernel or zip install.
Hi all,
The official 2.3 cannot be downgraded or rooted, even with a goldcard you will get "main version is older", so i suggest you not te be stupid like me and install it!
DONT INSTALL OR YOU WILL BE SCREWED LOL
Sincerely

wont.. i tried using a goldcard and says: main version is older..
And running the RUU will result in nothing since my phone is branded qq lol
Why are you trying to remove it any way?
cause i need root and custom rom etc
Do you need to get s-on and stock hboot etc before running the RUU. I need to unroot so would running the 2.3 update be my quick and easy way to get it back to stock. I'm vodafone uk and don't have a goldcard lol

yes it would flash back to stock and debrand I think - but you won't be able to downgrade/root/flash custom roms at the moment.

Does unlocking the bootloader, installing CWM or installing CM7 root the device??
Can I do all of this without rooting??
I ask because I use Good for enterprise email that doesn't function on rooted devices but still want to install CM7

right. and installing cwm and afterwards cm7 needs at least unlocked bootloader, when you are S-OFF
My phone is s-off and rooted and I have the vzw radios on my unlocked HTC 10. What is the easiest way to update? I have never had a rooted phone before.
I'm stuck in the same boat, you can either flash a custom rom, or if you want to remain stock you will have to restore to stock and update or return to stock and use magisk method. I'm lazy to return to stock
